That pie looks wonderful. When I was a little girl, our grandma would take us down her country road to pick the wild blackberries. We ate almost as many as we put in the pails, but they were so delicious. When we got back to her house, she'd bake a pie. This really brings back sweet memories of long ago. Grandma has been gone for 50+ years.
My grandparents had a big long row, as long as their driveway. I would start at one end and eat my way to the other. I got in trouble a couple times, but they were so good.
The baking segment has left me with my mouth STILL watering--YUM!! There is nothing better than homemade cakes and pies. Plus, handing down and trading recipes with family and friends is a great way to keep them close.
After we picked wild black raspberries from the fencerow the other night, my wife made a delicious black raspberry coffee cake. Blackberry pie is a delicious option too! 🤤
I look forward to your videos more than any other person on UA-cam! I love your family and it is a joy just to get to see a little part of your everyday life! I know its hard work making these videos and editing them. I just wanted to say thank you and we appreciate you so much!

Not crazy about blackberries because of the seeds but the pie looks lovely. Blackberry grows wild all over the place around here ( not ‘til late summer, fall) and I’ve made many batches of jelly with them. Soooo good! Glad to see you in your kitchen again. ❤️🇨🇦
Praise the Lord, and pass the pie! 🙏 🥧 ❤ can’t wait to order your cookbook ~ I love reading through cookbooks but to know I might find a video of you making the same recipes feels extra special. Just watching you pick the berries and making the pie brought me a sense of calm, and for that, I thank you kindly!
Brings back fond memories picking wild blackberries for my Mom and Grandma to make jelly and blackberry cobblers. It was worth all the chiggers I got😊! Never had a blackberry pie, I will have to try this💞
This was my great grandmother sisk favorite recipes..she passed it down to all of us...keeping your family in my daily prayers as you begin a new life journey since ms Cindy went to her heavenly home❤from a Indiana girl living on the Virginia Tennessee line
Fantastic that you’re gonna put the recipes in the cookbook in a set on videos! This way I can cook and watch how you make each one using both my cookbook and your video! I’m thinkin that it will make each recipe taste as if it came from your own kitchen. Authentic!! I’m so enjoying that cookbook. I’ve modified some of my own heirloom recipes to taste even better using your recipes! Wild blackberries are almost ready to harvest! I smell that blackberry pie you just made coming soon to surprise my husband. Blessings 🌼
It is great having you back. The pie looks delicious. I lived in Washington state in early 2000. We had a wild blackberry bush on our property. I wish I had your recipe then. Looking forward to seeing you more and see your recipes being made. God bless you and your family. Love you and your family ❤.
Tipper, we hunted for Mayberries in East Texas and I was a teenager. I love pie, but we mostly just did lazy cobbler. My Mama's was a cup, a cup, and a cup. Milk, sugar, flour and a stick of butter melted on the bottom
That looks so good. I remember helping my Mawmaw pick blackberries for jelly and cobblers. I would love to have one of her apple pies! ❤ I have your cookbook and love it. I also bought one for my sister for her birthday and she loved it😊 God Bless all of you❤
What a joy to pick your own berries and right in your own yard, no less! I've picked wild ones and made different deserts and those were painful experiences--so thorny! But tasty. Fewer seeds in the tame type are better for my teeth. Thanks for the recipe. It seems like something I would definitely make if able. Very good to see you in the kitchen again.
Welcome back to the garden & kitchen. God watched over your garden when you couldn't. That pie looks so easy to make & looks extra yummy with all those fresh blackberries. You are such a good cook. I need to try it because blackberries are one of our favorite summer fruits. Hugs!
Happy to see you in your garden that you love so much. Still praying for peace for you and your family. Sometimes our routines are good therapy ❤🩹 Also, super cute apron!
What a simple clever recipe. So lovely to see the cooked with the fresh. Just stunning. It's winter here in New Zealand but I can dream. My berries are planted so now I'll wait patiently. 😋 Yum
Yummo 😋!! Very nice!! I love blackberries - may adapt with blueberries or Strawberries 🍓?! Glad to see you both enjoy the pie - and Corie had the right idea with the ice cream 😂! Have a wonderful day everyone!
Wow that pie looks delicious. I may try it, as it seems easy and I am no pie maker. BUT, I have to tell you that I love, love, love your audio books. I take you with me every morning when I take my dog for his hour-long walk. I love the stories and it keeps me entertained throughout my walk. Please keep doing this!
BlackBerry is my absolute favorite Pie or Cobbler to eat! I could founder myself eating Blackberries! Nothing as Good! I'm gonna try this recipe! Thank you Tipper and Corie! ... God Bless Y'all. 🙏🙏❤❤
I just made two of these pies for my Dads funeral dinner this past Thursday, July 6. My mom and I had what we called “pie baking therapy” three dies after he died to prepare for the dinner. At the dinner, everybody who tried it raved and complimented me on their wonderful flavor. My sister said I have to make them for all our get togethers. Thank you s much for the comfort your videos bring to me. A lot of what you make is the same as what my Grandma and Mom always made here in the Missouri Ozarks. May God Bless your family in your grief.
Lawd Hammercy!!!! That looks SO good! Blackberries are my FAVORITE!! My Grammie had a blackberry bush in her back yard here in Atlanta, when I was little, and I remember going out back and picking some for desert, often. My favorite meal she made me was a baked chicken breast, sweet tater and we'd have blackberries and cream for desert! YUM!!!! LOVE blackberry jam/preserves. ❤
Once again Tipper, you've got me drooling for blackberry pie or cobbler. I'm with you on wild blackberries being just a tish better. One thing I can attest when one goes picking wild blackberries, alway spray insect repellent around your waistband, collar, cuffs and ankles. I'm not sure that you have them in the mountains but, here in Missouri we have chiggers that have a way of digging into you in unmentionable places. It only takes one time and you'll never want them back again. I just love to watch you cook.
Looks absolutely delicious. It reminds me when I was a little boy running through the fields with my friends, picking berries and laughing all the time as we ate them. Those were the good old days.
Any time I see blackberries, it reminds me of how my grandmother had us kids picking wild berries in West Virginia. Some of my fondest memories growing up.

I remember as a child, going down to Wingate, NC, to uncle Van Jr. and aunt Janie’s ( How’re those for some country names? ) to visit while my mom and aunt would pick blackberries on their land. They grew wild and were the best! Mom would freeze them so we could have blackberry pie or cobbler all year.
I had friends who lived in the country when I was a kid took me picking wild blackberry's and red ones .had so much fun doing it. They also took me to a strawberry farm to pick strawberry's. It was okay but not as much fun.
My blackberries were badly damaged by hurricane Ida. It finally started putting on berries again this year. I need to get a new frame under it, it has spread out. When I have enough berries I can make this pie. ❤
When I was a kid we got tasked with clearing a whole blackberry bramble jungle for our neighbor's mom and dad. For each 3 gallons we picked he kept 1. Their bramble was easily 10 feet high and over 15 feet thick. The blackberries were massive in size. My mom cut up old washed out milk gallons by removing half the neck and up to the handle for depth to give us the widest opening to drop berries in. It was the sweetest of summers with the fullest belly I had ever had at that point lol. Combined us 3 pulled out over 200 gallons. The neighbor made blackberry jam for months for his parents. They got a LOT of their yard back. And we got blackberries for nearly anything we wanted 😂. It was just one of those iconic summers, the ones you remember beyond any other. I still remember how much salmon and blackberries were in the freezer and how much I looked forward to both! Thank you again Tipper for giving me back these memories!
Yep, going to have to make that this 4th July weekend. I have wild black berries all around me. Glad to see you back Tipper. Looking forward to future videos. Thanks for sharing!
