100 Hour review on Kioti DK5320SE cab tractor. Don't buy this tractor until you watch this video

  • I've been using this compact tractor for the past nine months and putting it to work doing all kinds of tasks from lifting logs and bulk bags of firewood to grinding stumps with a three point stump grinder. During these first 100 hours of use, I've discovered the pros and cons of this model of tractor and want to share them with any potential buyers of the Kioti DK 20 series tractor.

    The DK is also about 400 lbs less than the MX. I’m torn between the 2, but could get the DK with similar lift as the MX, similar weight, a cab, and overall smaller frame which is nice for getting into tight spaces for about 7-9k less.

      All the same reasons I went with the DK. I was impressed with the MX, but the size was the big driver for me since I work in tighter spaces often.

    Cabs are the only way to go

      @rickeytrammell-ho3pt I would agree unless the tractor is mostly in the trees, then open station is a better fit in my opinion. Thanks for stopping in!

    You’re very right. Every tractor will have cons. I know there are things I think I would like like the auto throttle. Mine has nowhere to mount a tool box. And the drink holder is not a placed great. I wish my switches were over head instead of on my dash panel. I am thinking of a new tractor and these thing are going to be things I look for. Thanks for the walk around.

    Good review Tim! I too had to pay for a rear wiper on my tractor as it wasn't standard. I also paid for two additional rear SCV's. Luckily, my three point came standard with extendable lift arms and the pin/hole type side stabilizers, which I was happy about. So, the reasons why they "go cheap" on certain models and certain features on models, but yet not others doesn't make sense to me. Like you said, the CK model (which is a lower model than yours) came standard with a feature that yours didn't. THAT kind of stuff makes no sense to me.
    I agree, the door doesn't open far enough for me either. And I'm not a real big guy. I think that could be remedied by just putting a longer strut on the door, but I didn't bother doing that, I just got used to the door not opening very far.
    Overall though, I couldn't agree with you more. I love my tractor as well. There are very few things that I'd change on it.
    Oh ya, I'm also digging the flying camera!!!

    When you get the opportunity, you should climb in and sit in a Yanmar YT3 series tractor. As you are well aware of,…you and I both have to “slide” around the steering wheel when entering and exiting. Yanmar’s steering column goes vertical when it’s forward. You’ll also notice the extra amount of room above the steps when you climb in there.

      I am unaware of a dealer for Yanmar in my area, but I'll keep that in mind.

      @@timbervisions then that probably explains why it wasn’t considered. That’s understandable though.

      Basically have John Deere, Kubota, Bobcat, LS, and Kioti in this area

    You can upgrade to extendable link arms

    • @timbervisions
      @timbervisions  Місяць тому

      Yes, that is an upgradable option for the DK series. However, on most of the series when you have an SE trim package, they come standard. That was the point I was making. Not really something I personally use as I run a quick hitch, but some folks would prefer them, that's why I brought it up in the video. Thanks for coming by and sharing the knowledge!

      @@timbervisions I understand. I optioned out my DK5310SE with every option. They would not give me the new LED lights though

      @timbervisions  Місяць тому

      @DonnieDarko727 really? I'm not sure they even have a factory led option for the cab. Lot of folks just replace with some from Amazon. For my applications so far, the oem lights have been plenty. I don't do much night work other than snow pushing, and it's not a problem when doing that.

    Why didn't you just buy the ck if you wanted all the extra features?

    • @timbervisions
      @timbervisions  3 місяці тому +1

      Price and size, basically. I'm just letting folks know about the tractor so they are more informed. Maybe I'll help someone out. Have a great day!
