Wow... haven't seen a meaningful video of my interest, presented by a real person of common sense and sense of humor for awhile. You gave more reason than I've already had in mind for a cab. Good job !
I'm not one to spend extra money on things for my comfort but my wife convinced me to spend the money for the cab. The biggest surprise was not the A C and heat ( not that it wasn't nice in the summer and winter) but when I finished mowing for for four hours I climbed off the tractor and I could have gone out to eat at a restaurant WITHOUT TAKING A SHOWER, that wasn't going to happen on my old open cab tractor. I don't have to stop work just because it is raining I'm able to continue to working. I don't have to take breaks like I used to, I've stayed on the tractor all day working without taking a break, I get much more work done because of the cab, because of that I feel safe in saying that I've already made the money back that the cab cost me.
@@harverawls636 My wife convinced me as well. They love it when they are right. Lol I have also been able to keep workin in comfort during bad weather. Saves so much downtime, and like you said, I stay clean!
You are making me wish I had bought a cab. Bought a CK3510 three years ago. I just don’t use it enough to justify the extra expense. But, I do worry about a bee attack. There is usually about one of those a year within a 20 mile radius of where we live. And, I do have skin cancer worries. OK, you have convinced me. Now, I am going to show this video to my wife. Wish me luck! If it goes badly, it is all your fault!
Great video! I could not agree more, especially where the stupid allergies are concerned. I have a CK2610 with cab, and will add that where the view is concerned, the mirrors add so much behind that it is worth the small loss where the A-pillar blocks off. Also, regarding the glass keeping people on the ground from talking to me, I have taught the kids to stay back at least 20 feet till I stop and open the door and look right at them. I see it like an added safety feature, especially when using pallet forks and lifting or anything that might tip me. Enjoy the comfort of your tractor cab! I have never looked back after getting mine with cab!
I just got my CK2620SE cab in 2023, replacing an open station 3510SE. I agree with all of the points you made to buy the cab over the open station tractor. But I’ll add one more justification I made here in the windy, foggy coastal California climate I live in, I have an angry neighbor who is suing me over a dispute on an access easement on my property. If I don’t want to talk to her, I can keep the door closed and keep going! (The lawsuit is finally getting close to a settlement where I won anyway) Worth every penny not having to take that grief!
One thing I would comment with regard to the skin cancer issue, look into getting high quality tint for the cab windows. Good ceramic tint blocks UV rays and heat, not only making the cab AC even more effective, but also keeping you safer without as much need for sunscreen. Tint can be had with 70-80% VLT as well if you don't want the darkening effect. It's not much different than tinting car windows/windshields.
I agree with you. CAB is worth every penny. I have a 2020 ck2610 with cab and all you said is true. I had a problem with the windows fogging when blowing snow, the solution is cracked the back window open with the latch closed so it dosent shut back up, problem solved.
I had that issue. I was told that if using heat, always have the AC turned on as well, as it helps with the fogging. Seems to work for me. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@muchgooderish I have a DK5310 and it’s never been able to cool on hot days. I’ve had it 2 summers. I am not sure if somethings wrong with the cooling system or it’s just not sized big enough to properly cool. On those days I would be better off with an open cab Tractor because the cab just holds in more heat and the AC can’t catch up.
Great video. I have the same tractor , living in a cold winter zone and hot , mosquito and black fly summers. I would not consider an open station at all.
I completely left out mosquito's and flies.. I will just say they were lumped into "flying, stinging things". Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy your tractor.
Thanks for the video, my main reason for the cab was snowblowing but my New Holland 25S cab doesn't allow for a backhoe. Something to consider if you're shopping for a machine and yes some tractors can have both.
It depends on applacations. I have the rx7320 cab kioti . Plowing snow in winter. Moving tree debris in summer. And making mulch . Large field mowing jobs. Helping local orchards with there needs if they are down a tractor. It all has benifits in my mind to own a cab tractor. It gets you out of eliments . Which for some can cause some harm . Pollin in spring time sure sucks to breath in when mowing pastures 8 hours a day . The one downside is the repair of ac or heater system. Which costs thousands. And if you blow out a window . Those get pricey to repair.
I had my AC break while under warranty, thankfully. It was just a vent that wouldnt open. I bet it would be expensive out of pocket. And I hope I never have to replace any glass.
I'll add one more log onto your pro-cab fire: most cab tractors have switches or levers to raise and lower the 3 point hitch right there handy at the rear, since climbing back into the cab to do so would just be dumb. I hear they're very useful when attaching implements... 😊
For sure they are handy. Many Kioti's come standard with the lever on both cab and open station models. Many other brands have started as well. Appreciate the comment!
True story a couple years ago my dad was pulling his swather down a gravel road. The swather clipped a road sign and flung him off the tractor and pinned his leg under the back tire. No one knows how long he was stuck. His phone was in the cup holder so he couldn't call anyone. Eventually a lady driving down the road found him. He had a broken leg and is lucky to be alive. Thats why a cab tractor is important to me.
Thats horrible. Glad it was not worse. I had a coworker whos brother was bounced off his tractor and he was unfortunately caught under the brush cutter. They found his tractor mowing in circles in a field, and didnt find him until hours later. He was not as lucky.
I'm looking to acquire a TLB soon and having a cab is not only a luxury, but almost a must imo. So many benefits with only laughable downsides, plus Ive heard it saves the environment.

Honestly, I have trouble hearing the radio, but I also have trouble hearing my wife, or anything for that matter. ha. Thanks for the kind words and for watching and commenting.
There are times I would love an open station, like when just moving items, or pulling hayrides, but most work is dirty, dusty, hot, or cold. The cab takes care of all of that.
And here's the best part. I own the 25 hp equivalent in a John Deere (without a cab). And I can sell that for as much as I paid for it and get one of those Kioti tractors WITH a cab, PLUS much more front bucket and PTO lift capacity...for pretty much the same damned price! @@muchgooderish We've been actively looking at trading the JD for a Kiot with a cab. We're getting up in years and have found the tractor to be indispensable on our land.
