Yay, welcome home Jacob!!! I'm with Jacob, only a level 2 Kimchi Jjigae eater :) Also we understand if you take a few days off now that your hubby is back in town ;)
Hello Seonkyoung (and Jacob), I have a little surprise for you I just found today! Quite a while ago, you've struggled with the pronounciation of a certain sauce. In this one, the pronounciation is explained in detail. Have fun with the whole recipe, but watch out for minute 10 ! Greetings from the far north of Germany! ua-cam.com/video/1EQVCMPYX-s/v-deo.html
Keep up the great work!! I am from Seoul, Korea, too but I was adopted by American family and it's been long time ago!!! But I am learning a lot from your videos and from you!! I will be your subscriber for life!!!
I made this and it really impressed my Korean in laws! My Korean mother in law said my kimchi stew from this recipe was better than her own! And she’s been cooking for 30+ years! Thank you so much!
You two gives so much positive energy , im not a fan of food in general, but when i allways watching your food vids old and new it gives me alot positive thoughts and i allways smile and goes to store and buy alot yummy stuff and eat with a smile on my face, so thanks for making this vids and sharing everything💜
I just tired this recipe and it is so good. I replaced the tuna with meat and it still tastes delicious. My co-workers and husband loves my Korean cooking. Thanks seonkyoung longest for making Korean cooking so easy. You're the best!!!!
Jacob is so right! Kimchi jjigae is the BEST for breakfast! From 6th grade to 11th grade I went to my best friends house for breakfast before school and Kimchi Jjigae is what her mom made for breakfast every morning. With barley tea. It was so wonderful in the Colorado winters after the walk to her house.
I just watched this episode this morning. Somehow I missed it! Immediately, I ran to my kitchen and made this. I added potato and pork and chive dumpling instead of the Tuna. So in love!
I love your videos!!! I've never watch a cooking video where you end up eating almost everything you cook! Only shows how good the dish really is! Haha! Your reactions are very real too!
I just made Kimchi today for the first time, with Anchovies. In a few days when it is done, I want to try your Tuna Kimchi Jjigae. Thank you for the great recipies.
Perfect for today, Ash Wednesday and for Lent Fridays. Thanks. I wanted kimchi soup, but i needed it with fish since it’s Ash Wednesday. You’re awesome!
I always wondered why my kimchi jiggae tasted a bit watered down when I was in college, turns out I never used a broth or dashi lol. I’m half Korean so when I went home for the break and my mom saw me making kimchi jiggae and tasted it she scolded me as to why I didn’t put anchovy stock or dashi since I kept putting salt or soy sauce in it to give it flavor 😂 College budget secret, ramyum soup base does the job too!
You are so adorable, and this was so informative and fun to watch. Korean food is what got me interested in cooking, and why I am a chef today. Thanks for spreading the Korean love ❤️
Welcome back,Jacob! You're not allowed to tell about your latest mission. That was the same when I serviced, back in the early 8ies. But it's good to see you back home in one piece. It means a lot, to everyone who understands.
Ah the ultimate classic stew 😍 Thank you for sharing the recipe! I didn’t use any soup stock when I first made my jjigae video, definitely want to try it now with your recipe! Fish sauce definitely necessary 🔥
Wow you guys are fun such a great couple just love how you guys eat with such passion for food and you eat and eat and eat just love it yummmo. Love Sydney 👍🏼💙💙💙💚💜🥰
I made this for dinner tonight (except I kept it vegetarian without tuna) and it was FRICKEN DELICIOUS!! Omg so simple, quick, easy and SUPER tasty! I have a cold at the moment and I knew I needed something hot and spicy to make me feel better and this was it!! Thanks Seon!
Love any kind of kimchi jigae. Poodae is good also. My mouth is watering watching you cook this. Jacob is a blessed man. Keep up the good work Seonkyoung. God bless.
Never thought to use canned tuna for Kimchi Jjigae, I will have to try it! And I totally agree with your Kimchi Jjigae rating, 꽁치 version is the best and the bones from the canned 꽁치 is crunchy and delicious.... oh my gosh my mouth is watering.... love seeing you guys together, so cute!!! ❤
Even though I just discovered the wonderful world of Korean food in 2016, kimchi jjigae is already one of my favorite comfort foods. I usually make it with ground meat, but I can't wait to try it with tuna.
I made this stew and when my kids came home from school. They could smell it walking all the way home. They came home sniffing & very happy. Had a big bowl of it😂.
MMMM love your videos as always! I think you've inspired me to film a vegan version :D :D :D I was in Seoul last year for work and maaaaaaan I miss it!!
Seonkyoung u are the cutest when u make your recipe & u know it taste so bomb💣 I am so like u, that's me jumping around when I make something & it's so good.. lol thank u for just being u. Loving food like me. No wonder I'm never skinny..lol But I'm going on a diet, not this Monday but next Monday..lol
i know it's not a big deal but it was cute that he waited for u to come back before digging in. i saw he stopped his spoon from going that glorious pot of kimchi jiggae
Omg, I love this soup so much! A big hit with my husband too, he went back three times to get more! However, one thing that strikes me at first was that the taste of the tuna in the soup wasn't as "strong" as I had it before. Any insider tip on how I can make it taste more "fish-soupy"? I did use water-tuna and not oil tuna. This recipe is SO GOOD, honestly a all time favorite. Edit: it taste even better the next day!
This recipe is freaken bomb.. the tune was the icing on this cake. Ugh, I'm about to make it again tonight. Lol, thank you seonkyoung for the recipe.. ❤❤
Ok I absolutely love you Seonkyoung!! I’m totally obsessed over the honeydew song!! Lol my husband calls me crazy cause I put it on my apple music playlist!!!
I love the mini mukbangs after your recipe videos. It's so natural and funny. Give Jacob a mic too so we can hear his responses a little better :) Love you guys!
This is my rainy day meal. And this is my most favorite meal to make when I need to go grocery shopping. I always have ingredients to make this. Only problem is I Never have enough kimchi juice to make it like this. I have to use gochujung instead. I don't use onions, or at least that many. But this is my all time favorite Korean meal. First one I learned how to make!
Thank you so much for this receipt! I will try it this weekend! Tuna Kimchi soup is always my favorite but it is so difficult to find it in Korean restaurants.
Wow! I love your unique and sophisticated recipe! Thanks for sharing yours! I usually make my Kimchi Soup with a much more simple recipe! - From One Korean to Another!
Low carb? Skip out on the rice and the tofu. One trick I learned from a Korean friend that I love (I wonder if you like it too Seonkyoung?) Is to drain the oil from the tuna into a bare pot, and stir fry the kimchi in it so it absorbs all the tuna flavor before adding the stock.
oh wow! cool tips! but tofu isn't a carb? i guess it comes from a bean but isn't it considered a protein? wait... does it have more carbs from the beans than protein??
Jacob's back! Jacob is back! JACOB IS BACK!!!! Written Recipe Here!! seonkyounglongest.com/tuna-kimchi-jjigae/

I just watched this episode this morning. Somehow I missed it! Immediately, I ran to my kitchen and made this. I added potato and pork and chive dumpling instead of the Tuna. So in love!
