+hunt801 Hello. We ate breakfast and dinner at refugees, and bought lunch to bring into the mountains. Water was never a issue, but we did bring water purification tablets just in case :-)

Hi, can I also request your gps files? I'm riding from Geneva to Chamonix in a few weeks before riding the Tour Du Mt Blanc route. We'll be carrying bivvy gear so the bikes will be a bit harder to carry. Is there a lot of carrying required between Geneva and Chamonix?

On the GR5 trip, we slept in huts/cabins, so we did not bring that much equipment, but on the Colorado Trail we slept in a tent, so check out my gear list here lighterpack.com/r/2it3v Our main focus is light weight, but the clothing needs to be warm enough to withstand rain/-°C Good luck :-)

+Max Gr Aha, sorry about that. Old bikes, but we got some used cardboard boxes from our local bike shop in Norway. I contacted a bike shop in Nice, who stored 3 more cardboard boxes for us down there, and we went and picked them up when we arrived.

How dangerous would you say it is to wear gas in your backpacking when doing hard enduro? Have you ever had any problems?
Pack it in the middle of the backpack, with a jacket/down jacket/sleeping bag around it, and I would say the danger is minimal :-)

Slovenia - Switzerland is longer and harder, but riding is also better :-)
