  • Dr. Rowe shows how to fix ankle popping, snapping, and clicking sounds FOR GOOD.
As a bonus, all of these exercises can be done AT HOME and may help get rid of ankle click, pop, and crack sounds in as little as 30 SECONDS!
This video will be broken up into an EASY, effective step-by-step guide that's going to target the main causes of pop and crack sounds in (and around) the ankles.
In the FIRST part, we're going to tackle a huge culprit of snapping ankles, that is muscle tightness and irritation to muscle tendons. We're going to go over a simple and effective self massage that will help loosen everything up and get the ankles, Achilles tendon, and calves moving more smoothly.
The SECOND part is going to focus on a big instigator of ankle popping and clicks: lack of joint mobility. Easy stretching exercises are shown that will help improve ankle movement, and help with issues such as osteoarthritis and crepitus.
THIRD, we'll focus on fixing muscle imbalances and weakness (which may lead to pops and cracks) in and around the ankles with strengthening exercises.
WATCH now and get rid of ankle snapping and popping sounds for good!

This is maybe my favorite video I have EVER seen on UA-cam. Had cracking ankles for 5+ years, used to get made fun of for it in a quiet office! After going through these exercises once, no more popping. Really amazing results, can't believe it works so well in such a short amount of time. Thank you for this!

Was it a permanent fix or do you have to do the excercies regularly

    • @adambauer975
      @adambauer975 2 роки тому +8

@@notlemon8277 I will still get some clicking when I first wake up in the morning or if I've been standing for a whole shift. But all I have to do is rotate it up and down and roll it for about 1 minute and it completely disappears. So I would say YES this has been a lasting improvement. Before these exercises I could never get the clicking to go away.

@@notlemon8277 It is a "permanent" fix if you keep exercising it. All muscles will regress eventually (especially with age or injury), and exercise keeps them healthy and maintained

@@QuantumMechanic_88 Gout is not a good time, and it affects everyone differently (as with all inflammatory arthritis). Biggest thing is to control inflammation as much as possible through a proper diet -- with gout that means no fun stuff like red meats, alcohol, sugars, etc. Healthy weight is very important too (to keep stress as much as possible off the joints). I would also recommend working with a rheumatologist too. Hope this helps!

The part at 6min in when your sitting on you knees. I don't sit like that anymore cause when I used to do it, even when I was a kid, it would feel like my leg would lock up and it would hurt really bad. I would have to just lay there until it went away. The pain would be around the knee area. What do you think it was?

I won't be able to start this until my big toe is fully healed, I will consult my podiatrist on when it's ok to do these exercises. Good to hear
I also have been struggling with ankle issues and I understand how much of an impact this injury can have .
I’ve been seen medicallly , ortho , orthopedic surgeon , pt and for specialist ,
Must admit not all are knowledgeable and definitely need training on bedside manner , but the best treatment had beeen self treatment from piecing together UA-cam knowledge .
There’s is days ankle just gives and i no try to no longer panic , I just rest, stretch , massage and hope it works the next day !!

Hi, a couple of years back i landed hard on my ankle while it was twisted. I never went to the doctors but it took around 3 weeks to heal but ever since then there has been clicking while rotating. I want to start running soon, do you think it could be anything serious that will cause problems down the line .
    Thanks

I have a Haglund's deformity and Achilles Insertional Tendonitis. A lot of the ankle exercises you suggest in the video that stretch the Achilles tendon cause more pain me more pain in that area (back of heel). Should I not be doing these given my particular Achilles issues? If these are not good for me, what else do you recommend? Thanks.

Hi. I have a question. I currently have this problem, but I also have a similar problem of popping or snapping feeling and sounds that appear to originate from the tendons around the front of the upper thighs or hips. It's something that I usually notice when I lift a leg up high to step over something that's in my way where it typically snaps or cracks on the way down, but I can get it to snap all the time just by lying on my back and doing leg raises. Again, happens on the way down, but here when it's only about an inch or so off the floor (controlled descent only). Do you know if there a similar thing to your ankle exercises that can fix this or what is actually causing it? I originally got it, I think, from repetitively jumping high off of a beat board in gymnastics about a decade or so ago to the point of a noticeable sudden lack of strength in my legs. Like from a massive lactic acid build up or something. Coach at the time thought I just needed more cardio but I quit for good soon afterwards. Do you think this is from tendon tightness in this case, just like with the ankle, or do you think it's because of the tendons becoming too stretched or loose from that experience? I was putting an awful lot of force into it and my timing wasn't always perfect, meaning my feet probably weren't completely flat every time I hit the beat board - like my heels may have been slightly raised and contracted instead of relaxed, which probably caused my current ankle snapping problem, too. Thanks for your time.

I regularly do dance and gymnastics and noticed my calf always feeling/getting tight. I have started to do ankle strengthening exercises using resistance bands, calf raises etc and notice that my ankle clicks and up into the peroneal area. Is this normal and does it go away the more you strengthen it?

Quick question, around 4 months ago I was running and my knee popped, it hurt to go upstairs and use the knee for around a month and a half, after that month and a half I didn’t have anymore pain but my knee cap became a little “loose” and feels like it’s rubbing bone on bone, I’ve gotten multiple x-rays and they come out to no fractures, and I was going to get and MRI recently but my insurance cancelled because they won’t cover it, any ideas on what I have? I’m also planning on going to my local chiropractor clinic
