Lori. Please don't apologize for the length of your videos--they are so enjoyable and I always am inspired by all your examples. I find it helpful to see how you use your buttons, flowers, yarns, etc. I'm happy that you are showing us so many of the needle arts. Just like you, my grandmothers showed me the basics of crochet. How fun to add touches of it to our project bags! Thank you for all you do!

I learned to crochet as a child my mother worked and put me in every craft class that was available in our small village. Crochet, knitting, hucktowel stitching, embroidery, weaving. My childhood was very busy and I have been very thankful for her insight. I have gone on to quilting, cross stitch, stain glass, ceramics. I am so thankful for my I pad and U tube, I just had my 80th birthday and have haa

My grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was around 7 years old. I use to crochet all the time but when I started to quilt and cross stitch it kind of got lost in the shuffle. Your video reminded me of my grandmother and now I’m wanting to crochet something. Thank you for bringing back those memories.

I am glad you have these memories of your grandmother. I am missing mine so much and her violets that she gave me are blooming in my garden reminding me she’s still with me. I started the vintage housewife quilt as the apron in it reminds me of my great grandmother wearing her apron when she cooked. I miss them both so much. I am blessed though for the time I spent with them. Take care everyone.

My heart was warmed watching your hands crochet like I use to watch my Mother teach me to crochet. I learned when I was around 8 or 9 and I am now 74 and still. crocheting. I am a quilter - pieced and long armer and I love to do cross stitch since I had the same eye surgery as Kimberly Jolly. That opened up a new world back into cross stitch. I throughly enjoy your tutorials and want to thank you and your friend Kimberly for all your devoted time to our craft. Winning the chunky thread prize would make my crafting dreams come true.

I am soon to be 65 and have never done crochet--just couldn't understand the different types of stitches...even trying to do chains--fail, lol! But the sweet little colorful flowers drew me in and something finally clicked with your instructions. I think I can do this!! Thank you, Lori for a great tutorial and such a fantastic line of products!

I miss her very much and looking at your thread brings back many happy memories. Thanks for doing what you do and bringing back the vintage vibe. Love your stuff. Kim C.

My 8 year old daughter will be so excited this episode came out- she’s been waiting for the little flower instructions since you mentioned it awhile ago and asks me all the time if it’s out yet! I’m excited to watch it again with her and help her get started crocheting!! She watches me quilt and begs to do whatever I’m doing. Your little goodie haul would be especially fun for her!

I really enjoyed watching you and your daughter. I was lucky enough to have my mom and grandmother teach me how to crochet and I taught my daughter and I hope to one day teach my granddaughter ( she just turned 2 😉) I really love your colors in yarn and how they all work together. I’m looking forward to crocheting up some of these flowers and making some of the zipper pulls.
Thank you for sharing your talents with all us. Have a blessed day.😊

You definitely have a way to bring joy of crochet back to those who have lost it. I am self taught but my grandmother always made granny square afghans for presents with the best 70's colors of burnt orange, brown, and yellow. Lol Your crocheted flowers will be a perfect project while I'm in the pick up line at my kiddo's school. I'm actually very excited for the covered button project now. Time to go shopping!! Love your videos and your teaching style. I can't wait to get your skeins and crochet a few flowers for my featherweight machine as well. My mother bought it for me so it's so very special. My mother tried to teach me how to crochet when I was a girl, but I would get frustrated because I was left handed and she was right handed and it never quite seemed to click. She was a sewer and made most of my clothes as a child, but unfortunately I lost her at a young age. She gave me a good foundation for sewing, embroidery so I took it from there and self taught with the use of books and magazines, but then came along UA-cam and channels such as yours. What a game changer. I love your Videos and your teaching style. These vibrant yarns would be great in all kinds of projects. I’ll have another go at crochet.

I love that you make these videos! I watch them all. My mom taught me how to crochet about 13 years ago. I made 3 afghans in just a few months, and then due to life getting in the way I had put it down for quite a few years and have been trying to remember how to do it all again. I have heard of blocking and my mom had said she would show me how since my afghans always ended up with one end wider than the other, but due to some health issues she has not been able to teach me yet. Can’t wait to see that video! Your chunky threads look like heaven to work with! I love how you explain things. They make sense in my brain. Kassidy’s keychains are awesome as well! Reminds me of gimp keychains from when I was a kid. Thank you both for sharing your amazing talents!!!

Crocheting is such a practical art. I first learned as a very young girl making lace doilies from my grandmothers pattern books from the 30's. I really got involved in the later 60's and early 70's when everyone was doing the zigzag as well as granny squares afghans and vests! Does anyone remember the Daisy Quilt you could make with the daisy loom? Since then I went on to do a pineapple tablecloth when I got married and was pregnant overseas and snow bound in our quarters. My whole life hand arts have helped through happy times as gifts and comfy decorations and solace during the terrible sad times. I really appreciate that you come from a long line of handy crafting ladies and have now taught your daughter those very same skills as I do all the ladies who have shared their stories on this chat. Thank you Lori and Kassidy.

Oh Lori, I was so very excited to learn you were doing a video to show us all how to crochet mini flowers with your chunky yarn 🧶 in all those beautiful colors. About 10 years ago my oldest daughter (now 17) learned how to crochet and hs tried to teach me how to make mini flowers for my scrapbooking (mostly so I can make my own in colors I love and not buy ones that are not so matchy matchy to my projects) I tried and tried and could never do it! Well now, I have this video to refer back to and give it another go so I too can match/add them to my cross stitch projects, project bags and yes, scrapbook pages I make! Thank you so much! And,...what a bonus to be able to also make some tassels to add to my travel journals, project bags and have for keychains too! Thank you Cassidy! You all are awesome for sharing your skills! Thanks again for the great crochet and tassels video! ♥️🧶🪡🧵

Every time I watch your videos, precious memories of my mother come flooding back. As a small child I learned to sew on her Singer treadle machine and learning to hand crochet many chains of stitches on variegated pastel thread are some of the best times together growing up. Thank you so much to Kassidy for sharing her macrame technique for the key chain pulls. So cute and so well presented. I now have to make some room in my sewing area for these darling crochet flowers and key chains. Thanks for all of the wonderful videos that keep me company each week!

Last year I made my first quilt and started cross stitching again after making two projects in the 80’s. My mom is still crocheting in her 90’s and tried to teach me as a child but as she is left handed and I am right it was awkward for me. My favorite is your explanation on how to create the stitches to make the flowers. I found them very easy to understand and I’m inspired to try crochet again. I look forward to seeing your videos. Thank you.

Your crocheted flowers remind me of my mother who spent hours with a crochet needle and yarn in her lap. Thanks for a lovely video - your presentation and instructions are super clear. Kudos to Cassidy too for her tutorial.

I’m amazed at the little crochet flowers. I’ve done crochet for about 50 years. The finer the thread the harder it is for me. I usually crochet with yarn. The tension is my issue. Either too loose or too tight……practice makes perfect. Although as you said nothing is perfect but good use of my time is the goal. Going to make a few keychains for gifts also. Thanx for the great video👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hi Lori I had no idea that you have a crochet line with yarn and everything. I have to admit that I have always loved your designs but I'm not a quilter. So when you started the cross stitch designs I was extremely excited and now to see that you do crocheting well I couldn't hardy wait for the video to come out on how to make those flowers. Thank you so much for everything you do for us. Your such a wonderful inspiration to us all. 💜💜💜💜💜💜

I have been trying to learn to crochet for the past month. As a lefty I am struggling with the tension. I have watched your videos over and over while I am trying to crochet. It's fun but not as easy as it looks. I enjoy all of your videos and I am thrilled you have added another crocheting video. Please continue! Your generous goodie bag would be awesome to receive!

Wow! Kassidy's Keychain brought back memories of summer day camp, I'm 64 so this was long ago,I was about 8 yrs old and we did all kinds of crafts thereby this was made by using long strands of plastic which we called lanyards. They came in many colors and we made them into Keychain, necklaces and bracelets! So much fun! Thank You Kassidy, for the blast to the past! once again Thank You Lori for Sharing all that You do with us!I can't really remember how old I was when I learned to crochet, I would guess around the age of 10, Both of my grandmother's and my Mother have also always crocheted and knit which I do also. We're a very crafty family all needlework, sewing and creating so many things!

Your planner is amazing! I love the button cover tutorial and the keychains. I love to crochet and the flowers are adorable! My grandmother taught me the granny square, and my great aunt taught me the ripple stitch. My mother in law taught me to knit. All these wonderful ladies were right handed and I am left handed, so they were very patient. My first crochet project turned out to work only as a little blanket for a tiny puppy, LOL. You teach us so much, and help me to stay on track, and learn better techniques! Thank you so much!

I hadn't done any crochet for years and recently my grandson wanted a spiderman blanket so I picked up a hook, bought some blue, red and black wool. Wow, he just loved his blanket and now I'm totally "hooked" again. Love your crochet flowers and plan to make lots!

I love that you added the flowers and zipper pulls onto your bags. I was so happy that you showed how to make both of them. I did crochet years ago and thought I would like to try them but how could I do that. And then you showed us. Thanks so much. I do like the crochet series. My daughter wants to learn and your videos always have clear instructions.

Love your easy to do crochet flowers and the video of the keychain. I work with Seniors as their Program Director and we knit baby hats for our local hospital. Unfortunately I have nobody that crochets and we are do attach to eat hat a crochet embellishment and this is so easy we are all going to give it a whirl and see if we can make our own as we now need help from others and we get more hats done than flowers. As for the keychain I showed them the video so we are now in the process of making one for each resident (328) so they can put their apartment keys and fob on it using our yarn once we get it. Thank you for the easy tutorial as we get older our small motor skills are limited and this is a can do project. Much appreciate you taking the time do video it.

Starting crochet this tutorial gave me a nice small project to get the hang of crochet back. The last time was about 35 years ago with grandma having fun togheter during one of our many creative moments together. Great memories. This tutorial gave me a clear hand position and "looping" instruction to get me started.
