I am a newer quilter. My blocks rarely work out exact. So l appreciate it when a block is designed with oversized parts so we can square up perfectly. Makes me feel much more successful and proud of my quilts when I’m done. Thank you. Your designs are always SO cute.
Ruler was out of stock for a bit but I was lucky to get one. I picked out 6 half yards of Bee plaids and just starched this morning. Hope to make a pine tree quilt for my Dad ❤️
I just buy your Tall Triangle Ruler and I´m going to sew my first tree, thanks you for this tutorial I love your sewing machine and your iron, I write you from Lima-Peru
I LOVE watching your videos; I always learn (or re-learn) so many neat things. You’re an excellent instructor-clear, concise-yet detailed-every step of the way. You get me excited to sew again. Thank you.❤
I'm not sure how 111,000 people could watch this video and not give it a thumbs up. I find Lori Holt's aesthetic and methods and fabric, perfect. Please let's all remember to give her thumbs up every time we watch❤💜❤💜❤BTW I'm just now realizing that I am not getting all of your notifications.🤔 I made sure again to click on ALL notifications🤷♀️♥️
I gathered pattern template and all fabrics about a year ago and never got the pine tree quilt started. So now at last it's next on my list. Thanks for the great little tutorial. After this one, next is the Farmhouse star quilt, for which I have all fabric, pattern and parts as well.
Lori I love this quilt, I ordered my ruler, fabric and pattern today. I'm so excited. Looks like it will go together quickly also. Looks so cute. I wanted to tell you I got the flower grid seams so easy and I can't believe what a difference it made. Thank you so very much for making the process of quilting more persice and fun. Blessings to you and your family. I haven't sewn the breast cancer quilt along yet. I am glad to hear your mother was a survivor. I lost my father in August 2004, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2004 and chose to spend Christmas with my daughter (her husband was in the military and they came from Georgia to Texas) but I didn't want to tell her and ruin our Christmas. I went through the surgery alone and told her in March 2005. I lost my mother in April 2005 to Alzheimers. It was a terrible time for me. I was single and had to work to support myself. It was very difficult to work and go through radiation daily for that many weeks. I am 69 now and have been cancer free since then. Blessings to you and your lovely family. Thank you for your contribution to breast cancer.
LOVE THE SCRAPPY TREES. A FRIEND N I ARE GOING TO GET TOGETHER N MAKE THEM. SO EXCITED! HAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME FOR THE RULER TO COME IN STOCK. WELL WORTH IT. HUGS HUGS LORI
Lori I’d like to say I appreciate you. Thank you for sharing your talent with me As a new quilter completing one of your quilts brings me such joy. Thank you❤
Lori, I love your longer hair. Inspiring me to do the same. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. You are such a great teacher. I look forward to seeing every one.
I fell for it again! I watch your videos on my 65” screen and every time I hear your garage door I think it is mine. 🙄. Love your trees!! ❤️ I have always struggled with scrappy quilts, until I watched your videos and scrap system. Thank you for helping my brain embrace the scrappy look. ❤️ Scrappyness is Happiness!!
LOVE these trees!!! 🌲❤️🌲 And I so appreciate making the blocks bigger and trimming down! Makes the process much more enjoyable! Looking forward to jumping into this sew along!! 🤗❤️🤗
I'm a newer quilter. This video helped me so much. I now have a better understanding of making this type block thank you so much! Have a wonderful day!
Lori I just adore your fabric and your quilt designs. I look at all colors of fabric but I'm always drawn back to your fabrics. It brings me to my happy place. Thanks , Jeanne
Love the tall trees! Didn’t see that the small trees were on top of the larger ones looking at the pattern cover…it looked so random until you pointed it out. Super cute!t
You are a wonderful teacher! I've learned so much from watching you and have enjoyed working on so many of your projects! Even though I am a newer quilter, you have given me confidence and so much inspiration to be the boss of my own quilt! Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge. Being that I am the only one in my family to sew (so far), I want to be able to hand down this wonderful craft to my little girl 🥰❤️
I love your fabrics and have purchased all except your latest and of course I want to make all your designs that you have demonstrated so I have started many but not yet completed because you keep giving so many great patterns. At age 85 I must get busy to complete them and brag about you. Will show them at our Guild meeting. Thanks for educating us.
I have the pattern and the triangle ruler. Can’t wait to use this as a Christmas quilt for one of my grandsons. It’s hard to find things that are appropriate for the guys, and this is perfect ! Thanks Lori for another great pattern and inspiration for a wonderful project. 🎉👍
I love watching your videos. You explain everything so well and make so much common sense. Also with simple changes you open up so much more variety to the blocks. Thank you so much.
I LOVE this block. So glad I found this video. I almost took a class for this but because of time constraints, I couldn't. Super happy for this video!!
Thank you for the great instructions on this pattern. I look forward to your videos every week! I've learned so much from you, not only improving my piecing and applique, but freedom to be the boss of my own quilt❣️ God bless you😇🐝✂️
I really like the look of alternating the white background with the white tree blocks. I may have to try that myself. Thanks for the ruler and easy to follow instructions. It helps so much to see you demonstrating. I use patterns to glance at and get measurements along with overall layout, but the videos are soooooooooo helpful to see how to assemble. For some reason I struggle to read sewing directions.
Great video. I’ve been Quilting 40+ years and still learn from you every time. Thank you.
