The nylon bristles on the waterbrush have lasted me for years and still keep a great point. I have a large collection of them that I use for plain air painting. Truly inspirational and beautiful paintings today! Thanks for posting, your videos are helping me get through some really tough times. God bless!
Neurographical art is fun to do. The process looks like connected nerve tissue that I find absolutely fascinating. To me, it's very zen and can be relaxing. I have completed a few drawings just to have something else to focus on. To answer your earlier question about being concerned on what's going on in this world, it is absolutely frightening and its sensory overload. Most times I find it hard to think clearily, but I am happy to have come across your channel when I needed a distraction and inspiration. Thank you immensely for sharing your ideas and creativity. Trust me, you ARE needed, so don't give up on living. You didn't think you were going to slide that statement in and no one would notice. Wrong answer, my long distance friend 😂😂. I pay attention to every word you speak and every detail you place on your page. Big hugs from across the pond (in St. Louis). You give me a creative outlet. Something else I can add to my creativity. Thank you for sharing your ideas, creative technigues and expression. Much love always. 🤗Kim❤.
Thank you for so much inspiration. You got it spot on with what you said, I am most certainly 'painting it out'. There is just far to much for us all to cope with at the moment, and thankfully we have art.
Couldn't just choose one painting as my favorite as I loved the vase with flowers, pussy willows and the chickadee on the magnolia branch! Thank you for sharing yourself and your talent with us.
I love when you share from your life and childhood. And I think we have the same sense of humor because I'm always cracking up when you are joking around. Thank you for making my days and sleepless nights more enjoyable.
Absolutely love this longer video….. I want to try everything… especially the bouquet of flowers in the vase with the light blue background…. i’m hoping to try that and give it as a gift to my daughter ❤ I’m very inspired by your lovely painting.
Oooh can’t wait to get started on my Easter cards. This is a perfect start! BTW, Breaking Bad is my favorite of all time and I too was hesitant about Better Call Saul because it wasn’t Breaking Bad. I was obsessed with Bryan Cranston for the longest time and watched whatever he was in. Unfortunately Your Honor was not carried on my cable company. Talking about obsessions, QUEEN! OMG I went nuts when I discovered them, sadly it was after Freddy Mercury died. I searched UA-cam for every video ever made. I’m still obsessed with both Bryan Cranston and Queen! I love the beautiful colors of this bunny!!!!
Hi Gemma, don’t know how I missed this comment! So funny, you are on the same wavelength as me! I didn’t like Queen at first either, not until I was grown up (old!) and they were pretty much antique!
Dear Diane, I just discovered Gouache after months of watercolor. I admit I love it. I live in the south of France and I would love to send you à photo of my first drawing first done in watercolor and then gouache. All inspired by you! I felt like a kid and I am sixte!!!! Allez the best. Love, Pantea
This was so satisfying to watch. It seems like that would be the hardest painting ever to try to copy but you made it looks so easy and effortless. I’m laughing because I can’t imagine if I sit down and try to do that it would look like a Mish mash of color you made it look so good, thank you❤❤❤
Thank you for doing the long videos, listen while working. The finished projects are beautiful and I appreciate that you provide the templates. Soon I will pick one and make time to paint it.
Some day I’m going to have a pajama day and paint all day, no house chores, errands, cooking or other time consuming tasks! I loved this video. We have pussy willows in Minnesota too.
@2:40:00...chicken story comment. Have faith. You are not alone. The other side of this horror is going to be wonderful. Never give up. Never. GOD WINS. Sending love to you and yours. Prayers too. I love your videos. They are truly a blessing. Very easy to just 'kind of' be together through difficult times. 💛🙏💛
Oh my GOSH!!! I quickly scanned thru and each painting I heard myself gasp ..oh! Then the next OH, then the next OH MY, and then the next I cried with the duck (looks like our little one, last photo she was in the bougainvilleas. I think I need to quit work and spend time with you! That you Dianne for sharing your gifts! ❤
Hi Denise! Would u believe i made my book, using watercolour paper and packing paper, which i gesso or leave and use it for the more experiemental bits, leaving my nice paper for more finished pieces. I covered it with my gelliprints and cheesecloth (with a torn 'window' where u see the gell prints behind!) and i LOVE IT! Ive just gessoed a double spread on my packing paper pages, and im going to have a go today with some paints and stencils etc, so was super inspiring to watch your video. Between yourself and a few other artists on youtube, im inspired to pai t daily (tho my paint cupboard has exploded!). One thing i would love to know more about is any eco paints - ones that are better for environment, better packaging, DIY made to work with what u have etc. just a thut if u come acroas such things. So hard being eco as an artist but i want to try lol! There are acrylics made from seaweed, so they can do it! Thanks D, great video as always!!
I love your little bunny! I love her multicolor fur, and the little fur sprouts that you put on her body! I assume that’s fou, but it could be just Zentangle for the sake of zentangle, right? Great job, you’re a great artist. Donna.
The colour choosing seems so complicated. Is yellow best for the yellows in the daffodils??? Sap green seems to be the winner for the greens?draw with a watercolour pencil?
I LOVE that your long format videos do SO well! I think so many creators get caught up in perfection and end up posting infrequently because they are spending all of their time editing!!!!! I enjoy channels like yours with minimal editing, real talk, and real time painting. Very inspirational!
Dianne I so very much your videos and your art. For a novice watercolor painter I do appreciate you. I’d like to encourage you to hang in there. It’s always dark just before dawn. And according to a friend whose husband had cancer, “ you don’t appreciate the sunshine if you never have rain”. I always fall into Philippians 4:6. May God bless you and hold you close.
California had an outbreak of avian flu last year and all of the birds at our beautiful San Diego zoo and Safari Park were taken off exhibit for their protection.
Meant to respond to the veracose vein thing you mentioned. Could be much more serious. I was going along merrily, when I woke up one day and thought I had pulled my knee wrong. Went to Dr. She looked at my legs and discovered the leg with bothersome knee looked swollen. Come to find out I had blood clots. Arg... on top around veins. Still on bld. Thinner.
Hi Karen, yes, that’s definitely something to be aware of and I am constantly checking the bits of him that are falling apart. He has fairly thin skin on his shins, which is where the exposed damaged vein is - football injury about 50 years ago, serves him right! - and I don’t think he has any deeper vein issues. One of the few things which aren’t broken in him!!! Thanks for the advice though, I won’t forget it!
Your painting is beautiful & very relaxing music. I'm sorry to hear of all that is going on there. Yes it is difficult to keep your spirits up, but please don't give up. You are loved. Can you build a large cage with 2 by 4's or rebar and cover with netting?
This video is very well done and i have thoroughly enjoyed it. You have a lot of good ideas that i will try and i really like your ramblings. So keep on keeping on..
Hi Susan, I’ve started a playlist of the videos to do with Nature journaling, which you’ll find here: ua-cam.com/play/PLVksoedXAAme3jPyiNAJx9_0SqM86eyvp.html&si=5crkgKDZAlnKZnTd and I’ll be adding to it as we go along. Let me know if you have any other questions x
Hi Diana, so glad you enjoyed this video! If you look in the description section below on the long video you’ll find a link to the original tutorial for the colorful bunny - follow that link and in the description below IT you will find the link to the sketch which is on our website and which you can download for free! Hope this helps!
Really enjoyed watching you do your art. There is one heck of a noise going on in the background. Just thought you may want to know. Thanks for all your effort x

Thank you for this! --- clearly i won't be getting ANY laundry done today! ☺
Isn’t it wonderful how we can blame her for our failure to do do our work? 😂
I am terminal and can barely do art anymore so do what you want, when you want and enjoy!
so many amazing tutorials, I love it ☺☺☺

My fav is the magnolia and chickadee painting. I would like to see a painting of the brown photo version.

I don’t remember what I said in this video that would need a cage Debbie, can you remind me? Was it fruit being eaten??
This video is very well done and i have thoroughly enjoyed it. You have a lot of good ideas that i will try and i really like your ramblings. So keep on keeping on..
Thank you so much! I will do that!
Very sunny card for Spring and I love adding the verse!
At least if you keep your chickens under netting it will protect them from hawks❣️
Will someone help me find lessons I am looking for like how to start a Nature notebook? Are all Diane’s lessons listed somewhere?
Hi Susan, I’ve started a playlist of the videos to do with Nature journaling, which you’ll find here: ua-cam.com/play/PLVksoedXAAme3jPyiNAJx9_0SqM86eyvp.html&si=5crkgKDZAlnKZnTd and I’ll be adding to it as we go along. Let me know if you have any other questions x

Really enjoyed watching you do your art. There is one heck of a noise going on in the background. Just thought you may want to know. Thanks for all your effort x
Sorry about that!
