- New Zealand has some of the best mountain bike trails on Earth, and Cardrona Bike Park is an insane downhill MTB destination with perfect jump trails, freeride features and epic dirt go karts to race. I rode with the Red Bull Hardline winner Ronan Dunne and got some awesome POV riding shots chasing him down the mountain and training my downhill riding for the next big event! Shout out to Rod for his hospitality in Queenstown! Enjoy, Legends

Yup cardrona is a awesome bike bark in the summer and a awesome skiing mountain in the winter. Along with all the other bike parks around wanaka.
There are quite a few great bike parks in nz
NZ is like MTB mecca, the entire country is littered with world-class riding ... If you ever go try and be flexible. The locals know the best riding spots, and they're mostly different than any list you'll see online.
Queenstown has Cardrona, Coronet Peak and the Queenstown Gondola bike parks. All three are epic! Rotorua in the north island is also incredible.

Absolutely onboard with you Matt on that scenery and how amazing that place is, someday I hope to make it there. Fingers crossed that you'll start listening to the likes of Theo, Ronnan and the rest of the racers who've been telling you that you were running your suspension WAY too hard, great for the big hits on smooth running ins and landings of Darkfest, not so great for a proper DH track littered with rocks and roots and all the chatter.
Welcome to new zealand. We need more bike parks and pump and jump tracks around our reserves for the adults families and kids in local spots to much traveling to many spot with trail within each other. Time consuming etc. Help us please 😁

Yo Matt. You really should see a suspension tuner and know your settings for both free ride and proper DH. You've got such great suspension, it's a shame that you ride stuck in free ride mode instead of plush goodness. There's a place in your neighborhood I believe called Brink. Perhaps they can help you out. Or just go straight to Ohlinns.

I'd be pretty keen. To see how you go if someone properly set up your suspension for DH and not freeride. Would be cool to hear your feedback. Maybe tee someone up to do it between 2 identical runs, would only take 20 mins for adjust pressures, tokens and swap springs and adjust preload.
