  • The best approach is one that is individualized and tailored to your specific needs, which is why I recommend building a team of health professionals you trust.
    1. Pleasure hunting or mapping out areas of your body that feel good (or less bad). The expectation with this strategy isn’t that the pain will go away, but to explore how things feels. You’re starting away from the areas that hurt, exploring how things feel, and working towards the areas that hurt. Near the end of the video I also share a manual therapy technique that you can do on yourself.
    2. Movement that you already enjoy. We know exercise is good, but there is no clinical evidence that ranks exercises on a hierarchical scale of one being better than the others. Movement provides blood flow and space!
    3. Breathing naturally expands and mobilizes tissue: it’s a natural movement and it’s subtle. Breathing is also a major way of calming down the brain’s danger response and lowering heart rate.
Remember, your nerves are traveling along the same neurological highway. Anything you touch that feels good is going to be registered in a pleasurable way (the brain firing those nerves that create a sensation that feels good). In the moment, you’re working on dialing down your anxiety and tension.
We use touch, movement, and breathing to start to normalize these processes to tense (squeezing and activating) and release (resting at neutral).
Manual therapy can also be done in the comfort of your own home. If you have the proper guidance, you can take control in your hands with massaging the shaft.

I, only tonight, heard about you on Reddit and I'm very glad I did. I've been to PT and read Headache in the Pelvis.
Great informative video. I really like that you cover ejaculation in relation to Pelvic Floor Syndrome which I think is glossed over somewhat in other settings perhaps because of it's intimate nature, not that internal massage isn't already intimate.
I'm going to check out your other videos. Thank you for the great content!

I have seen a Pelvic Floor Therapist, 2 different ones in fact. One was a lesbian and said she had a hard time relating to her male patients. The other is non-binary. I had to ask what that meant. She is very kind and empathetic, however, I feel we do things over and over and if I have improvement is is short lived. She does internal and massage around the rectum, hip where I have trigger points. I was told by the physiatrist the pelvis is weak which limits my progress with core strength after spine surgeries. She has never touched the genitals even though It feels like I have a groin pull all the time and the base of the penis often gets sore. It feels like I am trying to stop voiding even when I don't mean to be tense.I have nerve issue with the sciatic and pudendal nerve. What should I suggest? Having pain every day.

It depends...My favorite go-to for belly tension is focused breathing and body awareness activities.

Does massaging the penis, like you demonstrated, help with a penis that goes very small when flaccid and turtles often? This is embarrassing and uncomfortable. Looking for some help with this. Thanks.
