Btw, I'm a huge fan of Bogner, had Bogner set more than 4-5 sets already and now I am sticked with Bogner Helios Set and the Twin Jet will be perfectly end of my hi gain seeking.
one of my old guitar teachers turned me on to Bogner amps as he is a fan of them but sadly he only has an XTC and not the almighty metal monster Uberschall. I would get the Uberschall without a doubt.
excellent sound dude ! was thinking to get the regular Uberschall 120 EL34 ... any advice ? do i need to reconsider the twin jet or stick to the 120 uberschall for heavy modern sound ? by the way , what about the Diezel Herbert if you compare them side by side ? thx
Only the twinjet with the KT88's will get this sound. The reg ubverschall is nice. The herbert is just another amp altogether. Much more variation and better fx loop!
I use the effects loop of the Uberschall with Eventide pedals and it is perfect. If you have a problem, it is probably an issue with a vintage pedal design.
The Bogners almost sound too perfect to my ear. Like a recording of a great amp. Hard to explain. Almost a processed sound but, they still sound amazing on records like Injected’s and I’m pretty sure Cantrell sneaks an Ecstasy into his stew..
Same with Diezel. Pretty much getting finely eq'd studio sound right out of your speakers from the amp. As for Cantrell, he was a big Bogner guy and while he was most noted for using a Bogner modded Marshall, Fish preamp and later a Shiva, he did also use the Uberschall and Ecstasy. I can get some pretty convincing Cantrell tones with my 101b. To be honest, I like his Bogner tones way better than his Friedman ones.
@@SluggerStark both are great studio amps. I do wish that Bogner and Diezel would make a smaller version of their metal amps in a 20-30 watt size with power soak attenuator option like Mesa Boogie and ENGL provide us with.

I just picked up a Helios 100 and man, am I glad it has a 30 watt mode. Just like those old Plexi's and even 800's you have to really crank them for the amp to give up the goods! It is one LOUD amp. Lol!

Hi Reza, my new Uberschall Twinjet arrived yesterday! I need help on what settings to use for high gain tones and new to how global depth and presence controls work with both channels. Amp sounds muddy and not clear. I tried boost no help in front of amp and EQ pedal in FX loop as well. I want good chugging saturated for rhythm palm mutes and good lead tones.

interesting. I have had MTL's and this was nothing like it. Its closest to a diezel in certain respects. Its got a HUGE low end presence. Its a bonecruncher of an amp.

Half the price of Diezel but would love the new Diezel VHX greatest hits collection of their amps in one but 5k for a Diezel versus 2.5k for Uberschall is hard to stomach.
Steve Carlsson you can order one direct from bogner with the tubes you want. but I don't think you can change them at will. I believe it needs to be touched by a tech. call bogner! they will tell you right away.
By any chance is this better than an Orange Or15h and/or a Rockeverb 100 MKII when it comes into playing Thrash, Speed, Death, Doom,or Heavy Metal? I have a PPC212 cab by orange, but not sure if this would go well with it, playing a DKXT Dinky Jackson
nice - always have a soft spot for a metal grill Uber. Are you going to try other tubes in it Reza or roll with the KT88 for a while? I'm curious how a good set of 6550's would sound.
Uberschall JP 6550s are awesome in a Twin Jet. Less glassy highs and the midrange is more pronounced. You have to use Winged C's though because they are the only tubes that will handle the high plate voltage.
Hey, hoping to get an answer to this. I have a Twin Jet, and I realize that it HATES pedals in the loop. I can't use MXR EQ, ISP Decimator, or any of my pedals for that matter as this loop is a serial buffered loop designed for rack gear. Curious to know what pedals you were able to use with the amp, or what rack gear you were able to use with the amp?
Ok I’m thinking of getting one but I have herd quite a lot of negative reviews! It sounds pretty amazing in this demo though. It’s a toss up between this plus an engl savage or a Diezel Herbert, the Herberts in the US are crazy expensive! Ok so I guess I can’t decide if the Diezel is the better amp too me I’m not that impressed with any of the demos of it!

Necropost, but I've owned both so I'll bite. It's easier to get the goods from Herbert quickly for sure, but once you learn how to dial Uber you may well prefer it. I find the mids much more interesting. That said I feel they occupy different sonic spaces. The two together compliment eachother nicely
It sounds good, running it through the knobs with a recording setup. But the demo doesn't do any leads at all. I am a bit disappointed that we cant at least tour the amp with lead playing rather than....

Really cool sound! However I think it is made of sm57 sound, because this mic makes evertyhing sound like sm57. If you had to chose what would you chose Twin Jet or Diezel Hagen? And Why? It is understandable that Hagen is quiter, cleaner, has killer clean channel and more versitale. But twin jet has that brutal muddiness in it... Here in Europe, Twin Jet is much more expensive than Hagen, especially with black faceplate and metal grill.

I just realized that A7X used this amp on Waking The Fallen, which has an amazing sound. It's definitely for me, although I'm also a die hard for the Peavey 6505+ and the ENGL Fireball.

That is where the best tones ever recorded comes from. ...Van Halen, Scorpions, AC/DC, Ratt, Dokken,I Accept, Queensryche, KISS, Kansas, Boston, and so on. That is great tone, with clarity. So, I just think the Ecstacy sounds much better than this, at least the way you have it sounding.

I own one of these and I have to add. The depth lets you dial back the bass, keeping things tight, while maintaining the low end you came for.

You can definitely play those styles with this amp and the right pedals :)

Crankster I had Bogner mod my loop to make it pedal friendly. You could probably send it in for that or call and get instructions for your tech

it doesnt "need" mods. It was designed for "professionals" who used racks. Also, FX loops have an effect on the amps tone.

I just realized that A7X used this amp on Waking The Fallen, which has an amazing sound. It's definitely for me, although I'm also a die hard for the Peavey 6505+ and the ENGL Fireball.
I'm suprised and little disapointed... Sound like Engl, very compress gain.....

That is where the best tones ever recorded comes from. ...Van Halen, Scorpions, AC/DC, Ratt, Dokken,I Accept, Queensryche, KISS, Kansas, Boston, and so on. That is great tone, with clarity. So, I just think the Ecstacy sounds much better than this, at least the way you have it sounding.
