It is hilarious how many times Ike came close to being killed yet survived every time because he was such a huge coward.
"Not to call you a coward Master, but sometimes cowards survive." - Starscream
@@scottknode898 Late, but at the end of the movie it does say that Ike died after the events of Tombstone.
Leider Hosen I know that
Scott Knode sometimes i wonder if these comments are serious lol
@@makesomeplays Well to be fair. Everyone featured died after the events of Tombstone.
This Tombstone was one of the best movies ever made, and what a great cast.
Correction. It was THE best movie ever made and it's not even remotely close.
@@reneep9972 You know a movie is great when random bits of dialogue pop up in your mind year after year. It really is an American Classic.
Tombstone and Shawshank Redemption two of the best casted movies of all time. The casting is beyond superb in both movies. I will give the egde to Tombstone cause the genre is so hard to nail. Like older Clint Eastwood westerns. My opinion Clint is best when it comes to western style movies. Perfect cowboy / lone drifter.
@sosy1178 lol shut up kid.
@sosy1178 shutup Ike..
Everyone talks about Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holliday. But you can't deny that this is one of Kurt Russell's best performances, as well.
Everyone in this movie was at the top of their game. That's why it still holds up over 30 years later.
5150 train 😂booya
Agreed. Everyone in this movie played their character to perfection.
I met Kurt Russell twice in Colorado. He's as sweet as can be.
@@lanatrapp1589Awesome! I’ve met Val and have also met Michael Biehn twice. It broke my heart seeing Val because that was after his cancer treatment, and by then he wasn’t able to speak. I always gave him props for making an appearance in that condition.
This is simply one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history.
And there are probably 4 others as good in the movie.
You mean most overacted scenes. Love the movie, love Kurt Russell, but this scene was comically over acted
@@ikigai47 It never happened, I'll admit. But for a movie scene, I think it ranks right up there with "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!"
@@rickkinki4624 *_YOU TELL EM I'M COMIN! AND HELLS COMING WITH ME!!! YOU HEAR? HELLS COMING WITH ME!!!_* Frankly my dear... So cheesy
Awesome movie and scene Unforgiving is awesome as well the scene where William Munny exacts revenge for the killing of his friend yeah
"Alright, Clanton, you called down the thunder, well now you got it!!" This line alone would make this movie a classic.
It's a great line. The Cowboys feeling all proud of themselves for a cowardly assassination and not prepared at all for the Thunder they called down on themselves.
Too bad it didn't happen but yeah high drama and Kurt hadnt been that serious in AZ movie in years. In truth he and ,Doc snuck out of town and body wasn't found till next afternoon. Costner came closest to the truth
1:26 the voice crack, you can hear the anger he’s feeling toward the cowboys and the sadness he’s feeling for his brothers death just days before. Bravo Kurt Russel, one of a dying breed of manly actors
Yeah what happened to all the manly actors???!!

He sounds a lot like John Wayne when John played angry. Fantastic. Costner isn't 1/4 the actor Kurt Russell is.
Costner in comparison : Mini me you complete me.
gareth veal cause this is the true story tombstone the other is bull shit
This is Kurt Russell's best line in Tombstone: "Take a good look at him, Ike... 'cause that's how you're gonna end up! The Cowboys are finished, you understand? I see a red sash, I kill the man wearin' it! So run, you cur... RUN! Tell all the other curs the law's comin'! You tell 'em I'M coming... and hell's coming with me, you hear?... Hell's coming with me!"
Yep. Best scene in the movie.
So many great scene's in this movie... if this scene din't get your blood pumping for what's coming... you have no business watching a western! ;)
"All right, Clanton...You called down the thunder...well, now you've got it!!"
Clanton died in 1889. After he tries to rube. Astore and one of the custemirs shot him
artytoons That’s best line of the movie.
Virgil's like "what the hell was that?... oh, it was just my lil bro merkin some fool. Thanks bro!"
Wyatt looks at Virgil and the signal with the finger says one down more to go LOL
Yeah, that and possibly, ' you get
em for us bro!'
I can't help thinking at this point
it was a mixture of justice and
revenge. But I've heard that
historically , the one brother being
killed wasn't accurate, but oh
well!
This was still one hell of a scene
and movie!
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
BrianBinOR
Wrong movie that quote is from pale rider
Michael Kelleher Actually you hear it at the beginning of the movie. A Priest says it in Spanish just before Ringo puts a bullet in him. Then Ringo translates it for the rest of the Cowboys.
@@3058morrigan that quote is from the Book of Revelation, and not only is it quoted in Spanish at the beginning of the movie, Wyatt is alluding to it here. By saying "Hell's coming with me", he's essentially saying, "I am Death".

RazorO2Productions yup true story in Texas that’s what we still say even in Spanish everyone knows that joke or the “if you wanna find Stilwell’s grave just get a metal detector” shouldn’t had messed with Wyatt Earp
I swear Ike Clanton was such a pussy
Also, Ike Clanton escaped before Wyatt could even catch him. He was so enraged by his brother’s murder that, from my knowledge, he would have gunned him down without mercy also. There was no way he would’ve let him run off and warn the others
Overkill is underrated.
"You called down the thunder, well now you got it" has to be one of the most bad ass lines period.......

Seems like some of the brothers in LA started adopting this strategy in the early 90’s
easily the most enjoyable of the "modern" westerns Just a hell of a lot of fun to watch.
So many great scenes and great lines.
This and Unforgiven
Goddamn, this is seriously one of the most badass moments in movies ever. Wyatt Earp channeling fury and justice in his words, Michael Rooker as the man of honor finally joining the good side, and the anticipation that we're going to see the scumbag Cowboys get destroyed!
That line will forever be the greatest line Kurt is remembered for.
Stephen Lang, who plays Ike Clanton, really made this role! He IS one hell of an actor.
He really is, he was great in Gettysburg and Gods and Generals
He really did! His Ike Clinton is one of my all-time favorite western baddies!
Ikr? This guys awesome, he seamlessly goes with the flow. And I can just tell from these scenes. I never really knew his name until now. Now I'm glad I did!
That Ike Clanton is so Brave, that is until someone face's up to him
He played Stonewall Jackson for gosh sakes. Super versitile
One of the best movie scenes ever. Wyatt was a desperate and determined man at this moment in his life. Having his young brother killed in front of him and his older brother crippled by assassin's shotguns, he had nothing else to lose; and all of those responsible would have hell to pay. Even as a modern day lawman, I completely understand his actions, if I was there back then I would have helped him out too. RIP Earp bros.
Thank you for your service dude!
They pushed a good man clean off the edge, and in the words of Jet Li in Romeo Must Die, "That, was a mistake."
We live in a fucked up world where people think it's cool to hate on our law enforcement. Are there some racist cops? Of course. However the vast majority of people who enter law enforcement do so because they want to protect and serve. Thank you Alex.
@@3RayfireI prefer a line from Doctor Who:
Demons run when a good man goes to war
One of the best scenes and lines in movie history!
I've watched this movie at least 100 times. Everytime it's on t.v., I'm watching it!! My favorite of all time!!
Ugh dude. Kurt Russell always knows how to bring the best out of his characters. He knows how to play em. And he knows how to play em well enough to sell em. And this scene is the best example of that. I lose my mind watching this scene because you can tell there’s a level of genuine anger radiating from him that it’s almost scary. I get legit goosebumps watching this scene because it’s also just done so damn well.
As an actor myself I get myself in a state of whatever is going on with my character. The rage you saw from Russell was as real as it gets.
Shoulda kept the clip going. I love how it cuts to them riding like hell towards camera, with the sun behind them and the beating of the drums. Damn, such a good movie!!
Absolutely that scene them riding together at sunset was such badass Damn!
I still remember the first time I saw this scene. When Wyatt says, "Alright Clanton... you called down the Thunder well now you got it. You see that? It says United States Marshal." and Wyatt has that smug look on his face, I think both me and Ike went, "..ooooh shit."
This movie and The Outlaw Josey Wales are my favorite movies in the western genre. Hell maybe even in general. Nothing beats a good old western on a rainy day especially
7 people need to take a good look at Stilwell cause that's how they're gonna end up

Cody Lewis, so true, so awesome.
This comment killed me! LOL 😂
Just re-watched this again for the first time in about 6 or so years. Forgot how awesome this movie is. This part is done very well,
Huge understatement.
"It was at that point the Cowboys realised they F'd up"
And from the opening scene, Johnny Ringo predicted it.
Same in real life - someone always pushes it too far and then someone comes for them. Maybe not the first time but, in the end, someone comes for them.
"You see that".... My favorite line of that scene. The way Russel said it was grand, the look in his eyes. Great acting
This scene still gives me goosebumps the cowboys kept pushing and opened the flood gates of hell that is Wyatt Earp!!!!!!!
"You called down the thunder. Well, now youve got it." is the hardest line of all time.
"Hell's coming with me." Backed up by the incredible acting behind it (Russell), hands down one of the greatest lines of any movie ever. Ever.
Man this scene gives me chills!!!!! “hell’s coming with me” 🙌🏽
"Indeed sir, the last charge of Wyatt Earp and his immortals." I freaking love that line.
Nicely done bookend to Ringo's beginning quoting revelations: "Behold the pale horse. The man who sat on him was death, and Hell followed with him."
While I was on the road doing long haul with my ex- father in law we stopped at Sierra Sids in Nevada where Wyats guns are showcased. One of his friends said that Wyat was the only man he ever knew that was void of fear. A true legend.
That bit where he cuts up Ike's face with his spur always gets me.
yeah, its awesome =)
they used to call that trick"the Mexican tattoo" in the old western days.
Go watch the bar scene from Near Dark.
Paddy Hugill I'll check that out, thanks.
themocaw The spur scene has stuck with me since 1993 when I saw it in theaters, so you aren't the only one!
This whole scene is hard to forget, the cheek slashing, how Kurt says his lines with such intensity and clear rage was amazing!
Kurt Russell I know most from this and Escape from LA/ New York. I've seen him in some other lesser known ones. I dunno for sure. Any questions?
"You called down the thunder well now you got it!"
The perfect to say when you've had enough of someone's BS
Best movie ever!! Great scene, Thanks for posting!

Perfect bookend to Johnny Ringo quoting Revelations:
Best movie prophecy of all time
Couldn't agree more,best movie ever.
Cynthia Swaren i think costner jas that crazy look sometimes too. But theres NO WAY he could deliver that line like russel.
"You tell em JACK BURTONS COMIN!!" lol
This is a great scene it really summons up he wants to show those Cowboys the real law is back in town fuck yeah
Kurt Russell Bad Ass as always
Stephen Lang did an amazing job playing Ike Clanton. He REALLY made me hate Ike, because he was a snivelling little coward.. I really wish I could have gotten to see him blown away in this movie
Seriously one of my favorite scenes in this awesome and totally underrated film!!!
Thanks for the upload brother, one of the best sense in Hollywood history.
The Cowboys wearing red sashes is one of the great inventions of Tombstone and has no basis in reality whatsoever.

Damn this was a great movie! No movie has ever had so many great quotes lines. Val Kilmer my gosh had the best performance over ever seen.
If I were to compare Kurt Russell's performance as Wyatt in this movie scene vs Kevin Costner's scene at Tucson, I'd have to say that Kurt Russell did the better of becoming Wyatt in this scene. I like how Kurt made it sound almost as if the devil was talking to Ike. The rage in his voice because he knew that Ike played a part in the killing of his brother Morgan.
Not the Devil, Death. The line is a direct reference to the Book of Revelation, Chapter 6, Verse 8:
"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him."
exactly
BrianBinOR That is what the catholic father told them cowboys at the beginning of the movie when they killed that mexican officer and raped his bride, actually the father cursed them with that scripture of the bible in spanish and ringo translated it in english to the cowboys.
Kevin Costner was so badly mis-cast in that movie,it was laughable.
@@armk1825 I also believe they violated that poor woman before killing her but its not known they humiliated her somehow

I’ve watched this movie so many times. It was my late father’s favorite movie. He watched it so many times he could virtually quote the entire movie. It’s also my favorite movie too…obviously (cause it’s so good). I just watched this clip … again, with my 20 year old daughter and had literal chill bumps all over my arms for the whole clip! This is one of our favorite scenes. Btw, This is my daughter’s favorite movie too. You know it’s good when it’s the favorite of 3 whole generations.

Might just be the most badass scene in film history. I've seen it a thousand times and still the declaration of "you called down the thunder well now you got it" gives me chills.
I was doing something else and just listening and yeah, it's still so good!!
Best damn movie Kurt Russell's ever been in and his portrayal of Wyatt Earp is perfect. I can't even watch another movie based on Wyatt Earp because this movie is the pinnacle of Earp's story. Kevin Costner's version of Wyatt Earp just doesn't stand up to this version of Earp. I felt the same way when I that movie The Spirit with Gabriel Macht, and Scarlett Johansson. When I saw Samuel Jackson's portrayal of The Octopus, it was pure gold. Jackson was so into the character that you come away from that movie thinking "Samuel Jackson is having a lot of fun with the character that he looks like he's really enjoying his character." He's was, literally, having fun with his character.
If you don't get chills with that line, you're clinically dead.
