You didn't get a grade for doing it but you'd get an F if you didn't.
In 1993, It should have been a 2 horse race for the Supporting Actor Oscar between Tommy Lee Jones and Val Kilmer with Kilmer getting the nod.. Pathetically Val was NOT even nominated.

Val is one of the most consistently great actors there ever was. He’s great in everything! I still love him in “Willow” the best, that’s where I first saw him as a tiny kid and fell in love, lol.
At 3:03, if you watched it on tv, you could see the guy hiding where Kennan is standing getting ready to spray the guys again. I think that's why Kennan was slapping the counter to draw attention up there. This skit had me laughing 😂.
