How To Replace the Clutch on a Yamaha Banshee

  • Replacing the clutch is an inevitable job that will need to be done over the course of owning any machine, especially one as high-powered as a Banshee. Knowing how to do so yourself is a great way to get familiar with your ATV and can save you tons of time and money over taking it to a shop. In this video, we show the correct steps to replacing the clutch on this 1993 Yamaha Banshee. The steps shown will be very similar for all year Banshee's, but check with your service manual to be sure.

    What about the indents on the fibers. Are they the same as the 60° separation on the metal plates. These are on a Tusk clutch

    Do you have to drain fluids

      If you're able to safely tip your quad on its side, you can replace the clutch without changing the oil. But if your clutch is burnt, the oil is probably contaminated and should be changed.

      It's 10-15 mm measured from the END of the lever.
