- As we are entering college application season, I thought it would be helpful to give you all some tips on how to write the best personal insight question essays for your UC applications. Disclaimer: This is all based on my own experiences from my own application process and from what I have heard from my peers at UCLA and other UC campuses. Remember that so much of college decisions ends up being left to chance so just do your best and don't forget to breathe!

Hey! Awesome video very informative and helpful! I think one of you briefly mentioned writing one of the essays in the form of a lab report. Can you elaborate more on that? I think it’s a really cool idea and will definitely stand out, plus it will tie into my future major so that’s always great. Thanks!
UCs are actually very clear that they want their PIQs to be straightforward, no-nonsense. Some of the tips that they give might have applied to previous admissions cycles, but what I've been hearing from admissions officers recently is that the PIQ response should read more like an interview answer, as if you were talking to the AO. Don't try to experiment with different writing styles-that is more for the Common App.
