How to choose a college roommate

Since people are committing to schools and starting to plan their freshman years, I decided a video on choosing your roommates was appropriate. In todays video I go through the options for being assigned or choosing your roommates in college and give some advice on setting yourself up for a successful living situation! Have fun getting to know people and I hope some of these tips and tricks make the experience a little less overwhelming!

I have a question so after you find out who’s going to be your roommate what do you do? do you fill any form that informs the college who you want as a roommate or something?

Yes, once you are admitted to UCLA you will fill out a housing page where you request your dorm style and you will have the opportunity to add their information or to fill out the random roommate survey.

One question. So do you have to have a roommate or do you not

There are either triple, double, or a few single rooms. You do not have to find your own roommate but unless you get lucky enough to get one of the very few singles, you will have to have a roommate of some sort.
