WHY DARK CIRCLES:
So, why do we get dark circles and sunken eyes? Well, in this particular area under our eyes we have very thin skin. The skin there is delicate and doesn’t contain as many oil glands or as much collagen as other parts of our body. As a result, its easily prone to dehydration as well as being one of the first places to show signs of ageing. And as the area is so sensitive, it’s easily affected by changes in our body and due to a variety of different causes, overtime it can darken or sink in.
The area is highly vasculated, which basically means, that there’s lots of blood vessels there, so if the skin thins these become more visible, giving the area a darker appearance. And anything that hollows our under eye creates shadows, also making the area appear darker. So sunken eyes and dark circles can actually go hand in hand.
But what causes these things to happen? Well, there are few things that are out of our control that can make dark circles and sunken eyes worse, such as ageing, ethnicity, genetics and underlying health conditions, such as allergies, sinus infections and diabetes.
Studies have shown that as you get older the distribution and volume of fat in your face changes, which along with a loss of bone density, leads to facial hollowing such as sunken eyes. And it’s also believed that dark circles are more visible in those of non-white descent due to differences in melanin production.

WHEN SPEAK TO YOUR DOCTOR FOR DARK CIRCLES:
Now, like I mentioned earlier, dark circles and sunken eyes can be caused by a variety of things, with one of the main ones being poor sleep hygiene. If you regularly oversleep, wake in the early hours of the morning or struggle to get to sleep often, speak to your doctor as there may be an underlying cause that needs addressing.
And sunken eyes, if accompanied with other symptoms, can also be a sign of dehydration. So, if you ever have sunken eyes along with feeling thirsty, dizzy, tired, or with dry lips, speak to your healthcare professional.

@@AbrahamThePharmacist Hi, I just got the swollen lymph nodes due to suffering from a really bad flu that caused really sinus infection and sore throat and the doctor prescribe me antibiotics to take but I hate taking conventional medication and wanted to see if you have any alternatives treatment options.

I think it depends on how cold your refrigerator gets like mine is really cold so 10-25 minutes is more than enough if it’s warmer try 15-35

I got rid of mine with kojic acid soap. It says acid in the name, but it does not burn (think citric acid, thats oranges)

How does raising my head while sleeping will help?🤔
It's something to with sleeping normally causes a buildup of blood under the eyes. That's all the dark circles are, is excess blood build up. So elevating the head helps to drain the excess because that's how gravity works. Your body works in specific ways and there will always be blood there. But due to genetics or other factors some people get more blood than is required which cause expansion of the blood vessels under the eyes which makes them appear darker. If you have dark circles which most people do, you can't get rid of them you can only mitigate them.
What can we do about veins under eyes? Can vit k cream help ?
I think we just have to accept our beautiful selves just as we are dark circles and all❤.
