Hi. Great straight to the point review. Gee it's getting really hard to choose wing foiling foils for intermediate + levels now. Would be handy to get data such a wing thickness, volume and chord length in addition to your thoughts. For example if you combine the information that Gong and Axis publish then you have a very complete picture especially when combined with your excellent qualitative assessments. Perhaps you can start providing GPS speed data too. Best, Regards.
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions! We appreciate your interest in additional data and information for our reviews, such as wing thickness, volume, chord length, and GPS speed data. We will certainly take these suggestions into consideration and try to incorporate them in future reviews to provide a more complete picture for our viewers. Thank you for your support and happy wing foiling! Good winds! -Aaron
Hi Tucker. Beginner here, 166 lbs. 5m Strike v2. I am a bit struggling if a wind gets a bit lighter on Phantom 1280(can't pump start) and need something bigger. What do you suggest, would be the Seven seas 1400 a way, considering a small difference in area, or just better go for Phantom 1780?
That's a great question, my friend. 🤙🏽 A quick phone call might be the best way to suss this one out. Got time to chat? (800) 622-4555
Hi ,great review. Do you think tge SS1200 would be good choice for a one quiver 66kg intermediate winger, mostly winging in choppy conditions?
Yes, absolutely
Hi great review
I am 72kg riding 940 phantom-S in all condition with my 60 lt board, looking a new for 10-15knots.
Would it be better seven sea 1200 or 990 eagle ?
Either would work but I'd suggest the 7Seas for slower riding and ease of use... the Eagle for max speed and efficiency. you'll need more skill to get that one flying; -Tucker
Would this work for some kitefoiling sessions in between wing foiling?
For sure, just don't rig too large of kite. -Tucker
Nice review. Also @1:09 tip was out of the water with seemingly not causing any issue.
Yes, the 7Seas and Eagle foils breach really well. -Tucker
That what those fences are for to break ventilation flow in wing tip beaches
How does this compare to Axis HPS and ART wings?
Probably more similar to the Axis BSC range in terms of aspect ratio and pure-surf performance.
Think of it as the equivalent of the HPS 1050, 930 and 830 with slightly higher Aspect Ratios probably very similar in speed and glide. Looks like a lot more user friendly than the ART both in lift and surf performance but likely much behind on speed and glide.
Burchas nailed it pretty well. Closest to the HPS line but better low speed liftoff and turning performance IMHO. Not quite as fast or glidey as the ART, that'd be the Eagle. -Tucker
@@MACkiteboarding Hi TvT, great review dude. Would the SS1400 be a logical step for a 93kg rider after milking out the Phanton 1480FCT? And is the shorter fuse a game changer compared to the longer FCT-aluminium fuse? Best, Rob PS: why is there snow over yonder in Juli? ^^
