@@AlexHutchingsMusic Hello, I did send you a message on another video ('may 2020, I think, demonstrating a chorus/verse play with the RC 500), to tell you about the 2 ways the single mode can be played.
Here, I noticed you did a 1st track with one measure, and a second track with 8 measures, and when you play, you play 8 times the 1st track, so all seems ok.
But if you let both loop.s set to on while playing, you activate the "single parrallel play mode", which means that both tracks start together, even if you hear just one.
So, here, if you had play one time each track, you would have hear the measure of the track 1, but then only the 7 last measures of the track 2.
To be sure your tracks will always begin at their own 1st measure, you've got to set, after the recording, at least one loop.s to off.
So now, playing only one time each track, you would hear the measure of the track 1, and then the 8 measures of the track 2.
Great playing, by the way :)

I like the switching pre recoded loops through memory presets, This is something not only possible on the rc500, I've been doing it on the RC10r and original RC3 for a couple of years (although my playing ability suck compared to yours). Its great for adding percussion and bass too. And great to jam to without going crazy listening to the same 4 bars over and over. And also what's great is it doesn't save any extra loops you record when you switch, meaning you can really experiment and not have the reload the original loops from your DAW. And most of all it allows you to add any drums you like and not be limited to the onboard rhythms of the RC500. Nice Vid and great playing, Thanks

Is there nothing Mr.H cant do musically??? I cannot believe how well Alex knows the Boss gear so well. And its not just a case of flicking through the programs. He really knows his stuff. Still reckon there should be a A.H 1 Boss pedal. Whose with me.(virtual high five) Nobody ?? Just me then.. lol. Beautiful tones and use of the Boss effects Mr.H. Amazed as always. Keep safe my friend and it is so good to see those fingers working so well. Peace

@@AlexHutchingsMusic Perhaps you can answer a question that will help me decide on which Boss looper to buy. On the RC-5 is the drum rhythm start/stop only via the button on the pedal below the display? Can it be assigned to a external control pedal or perhaps via midi pedal assignment? This unanswered question has me on the fence with getting the RC-10R as the rhythm has dedicated foot switch on the pedal itself.

Massive thing I'm not understanding about the looper. I'm trying to record a loop on track 1, then switch to track 2, and do a dub over, and I'd like that second track I recorded to start playing immediately at the beginning of the phrase of track one - as if I were overdubbing on track 1. It doesn't seem to matter if I've put t1 or t2 loop.s on, or not, or auto/free measure - nothing seems to work.
If you could shed some light on this, that would be a massive help! Thank you!

I have a question for you. I hope you're still monitoring your comments and see this, and I thank you in advance for your response. If one were to record track one with 2 measures of built in rhythm and guitar, for example, and then record track two with 6 measures of rhythm and guitar (set on single mode), is it possible to start one track or the other from the beginning of it's loop ?
Every time I try this, the track being switched to starts somewhere in the middle of its loop. I need it to start at the beginning of its loop, no matter where the previous one is when I leave it. If I try this with loop sync turned off, the guitar and rhythm fall out of sync in short order. I have the very same issue with the RC-600.. This is driving me nuts. Please help.
