Thanks for your kind words mate, I love Borneo, what an amazing place. I remember hollywood music well, I hope to catch you there again some day. All the best 😎
Thank you mate, yes finally I feel enough improvement to start playing properly again, it's been a long time coming.... Cheers for stopping by, all the best 👍
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I also love the finish on the NuVo Waghorn, it's my go to right now. One of my favourite to play and has a really wonderful feel. All the best
@@AlexHutchingsMusic Thanks Chief. Tried to buy one today but ‘out of stock’(!) Just to ask: Is that some kind of a ‘mirror’ finish on the Ibanez you play ca. 3:33? It’s very very nice!
Sounds like the FX35 Octoplus by DOD back in the day. I loved this pedal back in the 90's hitting it with distortion. By the way, I love your Ibanez. I have a silver 2000 Custom Japan model 550 that had the chrome pickguard, but mine in silver metal flake and not chrome like your Gem. Thats badass!
Hi mate this is a little ditty I came up with years ago, here's a version for you to check out. Moonlight Dance. ua-cam.com/video/d_tjD5Dk6-g/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, 👍
Hey Alex I have some question about guitar like what tips would you give to a new electric guitar player to get started on picking faster( Alternative picking?)
Yeah man that would be cool... Although if I'm not mistaken I believe you can use the range control which is pretty useful. But you never know I guess they could do in future updates.. Cheers for watching mate.
Merci !
Hey Alex, Very smart demo mate. I've just eliminated the 2nd guitarist for harmony melody and getting it thick as a 3 pc band. Cheers Michael (have you tried out the Boss Harmonist, seems like its a bit overkill and a hassles for a live gig, your thoughts for live.)
Thank you mate, Glad you enjoyed it. Yes Ive had used the Harmonist.... I think it is good but the PS-6 is now quite old so it may be worth looking around to see what modern options are available now... All the best mate and thanks for watching 👍
1310 th view My good friend! I hope you are well! Sometime if you get a chance, I would love you to show us your set up of your guitars! Like string height @ the 12th off the fret on both bass and treble side, the relief clearance @ the 7th or 8th, and @ the 1st for the nut clearance. This information would be stellar for us to set up our guitars, best wishes for the upcoming Holidays! Dana
Thanks so much mate I'm glad you enjoyed it.... I'm afraid I'm not very good at doing Tabs... sorry mate... Thanks very much for watching though... All the best 👍🎸🙏
i'm finding the root note mode is a bit quirky, It works best when finger picking but strumming chords its un reliable, I'm disappointed about that but I work around it. Nice review.
Has anyone tried using the BOSS OC-5 with an acoustic guitar? I am trying to isolate the lowest note of my chords to pretty much have the sound of a bass playing along with me. But, it sounds pretty muddy and even sometimes has a strange delay like sound as if I had a delay pedal on. The volume is also all over the place. I was thinking that if I put a compressor in the chain that will help this problem. What do you guys think?
Dont care much about the pedal but at cca 3:59 there is a solo and I ask myself: why do ppl still listen to a Steve Vai or a Satriani. Guthrie,Alex,Matteo, Julien Lage - some of the new Masters
@@AlexHutchingsMusic glad to hear from you. I v been listening to your playing for some years. Loved eg. that Cantalope Island you did somewhere in the East among many of ur great solos. Wish I could hear an online jam among you guys mentioned above or any others who really make sense nowadays! All the Best, keep safe in this crazy year!
@@ymelfilm Thank you mate, yes that was a jam from Thailand with some really cool guys, a great memory. In fact I also played in Thailand with Matteo Mancuo last year it was also a great night. I really appreciate the kind words and wish you the best for the new yeaR. Cheers for now. ;-)
Excellent video. Straight to the nitty gritty without a half hour’s worth of waffling at the beginning👍
Amazing!
Thanks so much guys, I really had fun with this one... ;-)
Came for the pedal, stayed for the playing. Smokin'!

So glad to see you've recovered from your accident and playing as great as ever. Terrific demo and I'm impressed with the tracking of the Boss unit.

Excellent demo and your playing is awesome. Handy pedal, I must say.
Reassuring West Country twang too, especially as I grew up in Brizzle. 😀
Absolutely amazing... and that pedal's not bad either!

Great performance!
Great video just got myself one and you’re such a big help. Thanks.
My pleasure, I'm glad mate. All the best 🙏👍🎸
I also always love the way Joe Satriani uses an octave pedal, and the way Jack White used to with White Stripes.
Yes mate both great exponents of the Octave pedal... 👍
I would never have thought you could use an octaver in so many ways
Cheers Federico. Thx for watching. ;-)
Excellent playing!

Awesome mate, I'm sure you'll have fun with it.. All the best 👍🎸

If companies wanna hire their pedals to be demoed, it will be Alex.
Cheers RigRev... All the best 👍😎
You are a fucking sick guitar player
You’d blast me from the stage like a meteor crashing
Yeah man! Killer playing! Very cool pedal, so many cool sounds… next time you're my Bass player! ;-)
HAhaha thanks man, yeah it was fun to play with this one... Well I will do it if Abe is not available... 😂
Master...
Tip: Holding the bass face while changing settings, is essential for the tone to work properly.
Totally. 👍😎
Nice vid! Are you only using a guitar amp?
Grande Alex

Parfaite démonstration 👏👍 🙏🎸🎶 très joli 'touché' . Je m'abonne 😏
NOT bad --BOSS OC5 -----sometimes sounds rather weak ---ZOOM pedal has the best octavider& is the best !by far !
Great!
Thc Gabriele. 👍
Pedals are great but your playing is amazing dude. Respect and thanks. Buying that. I like that lowest note mode. Who needs to comp right ?
Thank you so much mate, must appreciated. I hope you'll have great fun with it. 👍🎸🙏
I play for 40 years and still can't quite get the scales you're demonstrating here. Any suggestion as for where to start or look at?
Thanx for that groovy clip! What kind of the telecaster are you playing in that „low note octave“-part?😌
Excellent demo 😊 Did you experience any latency or sound issues ? Thanks
Ridiculous playing as usual. Very cool, I really like the lowest note feature.
Hey Cheers Adam, hope all's well. 👍
@@AlexHutchingsMusic Likewise mate.
Just watching this again, again. The octave up trick on those bends is great, really screams.
@@AdamIronside Cheers man, yeah I thought it was cool when I stumbled upon it too... great pedal. ;-)
What was that at 4:56?!!!
May i know what song or riff did you play on 2:57 its sounds music to my ears. I love that riff.
Man you play like a f..ing genius
Thank you so much man, much appreciated. 👍🎸🙏
Great demo! What kind of pickups are on your electric tele guitar?
Cheers mate. They are Dimarzio Tele pickups. 👍🎸🙏
OC-2 used on Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer.
What the... seems as its not the OC-5, that does the real great work here 😅
What is the song at 4:19

I hope they bring the lowest-note mode to the GT-1000 and Core.

The bells and whistles are great but you can't beat just slamming the one octave down on with the boss octavers.
Yes mate I hear you Alan... I love riffing with the Octave down too. ;-) All the best 👍
