I think the situation with Sheila realizing David couldn't really afford to support her and her son would have come out eventually. It's better it happened now, before she moved over there, than afterwards. I know from working in construction with Philippino people that negotiations are the normal way to do business, so long as inferior materials or poor work is not used for the project.

Yeah, I asked both David and Sheila how we could help as fans or if there was a go fund me, etc but Sheila said she was okay for now. I know Harold set one up for Mikaela from Match Me Abroad who has/is dealing with two different types of cancer. Being someone that has taken care of two ill parents that died young and also working in the medical field, medical costs and just traveling between specialists does take quite a bit of money to keep the patient comfortable and get the necessary medical supplies that aren’t covered by insurance to help out. I also wish Rose could help talk to or even mentor Sheila on how to have a successful side business to help provide for her family. I remember watching all the UA-cam videos that Rose created and sharing them so she could have the monetary help she needed.

I live in Central America/Caribbean and trust me for any large purchase, repair, rent, etc, I will always have a Belizean friend get the information/estimate for me. So, David should be able to give her this money, right? A whole season should pay for the repairs. I found this out last year while watching "Seeking Sister Wives". Even if this is not the case, David is being paid for being on the show, so 2 episodes' income should cover it.

I think the situation with Sheila realizing David couldn't really afford to support her and her son would have come out eventually. It's better it happened now, before she moved over there, than afterwards. I wish it didn't have to come out under these circumstances, but this just goes to show that there are very important conversations that need to be had before you enter a relationship, and that sometimes love isn't enough. Sheila is not wrong for realizing she needs and wants more. I'm not sure what her plan will be if she and David break up. I think it will be more difficult for her, so she's really in a situation here.

I mean looking at the stairs and the people in the house they are all super skinny so the stairs hold them fine all this time. He knows how much wiggle room he has WITHOUT substituting inferior product. We're talking a reputable contractor here. He may or may not lower his total price depending on several factors. In addition, in certain cultures, price negotiations are expected! Again, these cultural negotiations do NOT include using lesser product or sending in weaker labor! I know from working in construction with Philippino people that negotiations are the normal way to do business, so long as inferior materials or poor work is not used for the project.

Yeah, I asked both David and Sheila how we could help as fans or if there was a go fund me, etc but Sheila said she was okay for now. I know Harold set one up for Mikaela from Match Me Abroad who has/is dealing with two different types of cancer. Being someone that has taken care of two ill parents that died young and also working in the medical field, medical costs and just traveling between specialists does take quite a bit of money to keep the patient comfortable and get the necessary medical supplies that aren’t covered by insurance to help out.
I also wish Rose could help talk to or even mentor Sheila on how to have a successful side business to help provide for her family. I remember watching all the UA-cam videos that Rose created and sharing them so she could have the monetary help she needed.
Rose also has a rich boyfriend helping her. We mustn’t exclude that.

You don’t get better at emotional dysregulation, self awareness, or trauma rooted responses because those things should “bother you less” as you age. As the person above me said, the only way to overcome these things is through intensive therapy. SO yes, they WILL control your help unless you get help to heal from them. And this is coming from someone who has gone and is going through that process. I wasn’t going to magically improve because, “I should’ve developed coping skills by now” lol. These things have to taught, practiced, and healed from.

I live in Central America/Caribbean and trust me for any large purchase, repair, rent, etc, I will always have a Belizean friend get the information/estimate for me. As I understand it, the network would not send money to people on the show who live outside the U.S., but they pay the American cast members extra so they can give money to their non-U.S. partners. So, David should be able to give her this money, right? A whole season should pay for the repairs. I found this out last year while watching "Seeking Sister Wives". Even if this is not the case, David is being paid for being on the show, so 2 episodes' income should cover it.
