I think that the blessing ritual with the burning of cow dung and drops of pee on doorways is a one time thing to bless the new couple moving into their new house. Thats what I got from it. Also side note, burning dung is not unsanitary in and of itself.. Many cultures use dung as fuel for fire including for cooking and heating but I agree TJs mom shouldn't use the same towel to wipe the dishes. She is used to that but it is insanity.

Many episodes ago, Yohan told Danielle that she was going to regret it if she brings her ex boyfriend. I recognized the sound of his “you’re going to regret it” as much deeper. I've literally seen men brag about how they pretended to be a completely different person with different expectations to "trap" a woman into marriage only to reveal who he actually is and what he actually expects of her. Fortunately, no fault divorce is a thing in many countries but so many conservatives are trying to get rid of it because women (and rightly so) don't want to get married or have children anymore because as research shows, men don't contribute or pull their weight in the household or help raise children but still expect their wife to have a full-time job while also being a stay at home mother. There's a reason why statistically, the happiest demographic of people are single and childless women and the most miserable are single men; it's only men that benefit from marriage.

Service dog user here - never bring my dog on an escalator. With larger dogs, their nails are the same width as the grooves, I’ve heard horror stories of service dog users going on escalators and the nails get stuck and it shreds the dogs foot/legs/whatever. It’s horrific. If you have a dog just stay clear of escalators.
I actually liked that TJ told his mom she was wrong for using the same towel on the pan. I didn't know if he really loved Kim but I'm becoming a believer. He should have been more up front about her duties but I like that he's at least standing up for her.
Thank you for sharing the story of the poor pup in the escalator. That is really unfortunate but a thing that is common to happen to dogs on escalators. Service dog programs and trainers almost always teach dogs and handlers how to properly navigate escalators with trained maneuvers but they advise to avoid escalators when possible even with a trained dog and handler. Handlers also almost never let their dogs on an escalator without proper footwear like boots so the dogs paws/nails don't get stuck. I've been noticing an increase in people taking their pets in public; they likely see service dogs out in stores but don't realize the amount of training and preparation that goes into taking your dog in public. It can be extremely harmful if you and the dog are not properly prepared.
The story was traumatic AF but also reinforced to me that pets (not service animals) should not be taken everywhere. I’m surprised there aren’t more horror stories about this.

Even like 80% of service dogs in training fail their public access training by 3 years old, and many of them had been picked as service dog prospects at 7 weeks old (while still with their mom) and socialized and trained to various degrees since they were old enough to interact with humans. It's a lot of work for even trained dogs, it's just too much for untrained pet dogs and owners who don't know the dangers.

You could tell he was sharing that with her in a moment of vulnerability and she acted so judgmental. I could never with someone acting that sanctimonious. On Mary I genuinely do think we need to start giving young people a chance to grow. I’m about to be in my mid 20s and I can tell you right now that if I hadn’t went to therapy starting two years ago I would still be an extremely toxic person With that said she was extremely toxic. Not going to talk on whether she still is because I don’t know her but if what we’re seeing in the show is any indication it’s OK to realize your shitty and reform at any point in your life especially if you’ve only had about 20 something trips around the sun and you’ve got probably about 60 more to go. I've literally seen men brag about how they pretended to be a completely different person with different expectations to "trap" a woman into marriage only to reveal who he actually is and what he actually expects of her. Fortunately, no fault divorce is a thing in many countries but so many conservatives are trying to get rid of it because women (and rightly so) don't want to get married or have children anymore because as research shows, men don't contribute or pull their weight in the household or help raise children but still expect their wife to have a full-time job while also being a stay at home mother. There's a reason why statistically, the happiest demographic of people are single and childless women and the most miserable are single men; it's only men that benefit from marriage.

Service dog user here - never bring my dog on an escalator. With larger dogs, their nails are the same width as the grooves, I’ve heard horror stories of service dog users going on escalators and the nails get stuck and it shreds the dogs foot/legs/whatever. It’s horrific. If you have a dog just stay clear of escalators.

Thank you for sharing the story of the poor pup in the escalator. That is really unfortunate but a thing that is common to happen to dogs on escalators. Service dog programs and trainers almost always teach dogs and handlers how to properly navigate escalators with trained maneuvers but they advise to avoid escalators when possible even with a trained dog and handler. Handlers also almost never let their dogs on an escalator without proper footwear like boots so the dogs paws/nails don't get stuck. I've been noticing an increase in people taking their pets in public; they likely see service dogs out in stores but don't realize the amount of training and preparation that goes into taking your dog in public. It can be extremely harmful if you and the dog are not properly prepared.
The story was traumatic AF but also reinforced to me that pets (not service animals) should not be taken everywhere. I’m surprised there aren’t more horror stories about this.

@@catrinacrystallina I agree with you. Most dogs are not safe and mentally sound in public. Even like 80% of service dogs in training fail their public access training by 3 years old, and many of them had been picked as service dog prospects at 7 weeks old (while still with their mom) and socialized and trained to various degrees since they were old enough to interact with humans. It's a lot of work for even trained dogs, it's just too much for untrained pet dogs and owners who don't know the dangers.

My impression from this episode was that Kim actually DID ask TJ beforehand if those chores would be expected of her/what she should expect and he basically told her “no”. I don’t think that she didn’t know; I think she knew, tried asking, and was then lied to. So the shock is probably going to be that she’s fully expected to be living the way their woman do, but was told she wouldn’t have to. I will bet that whenever we see the episode of her screaming, it might be that realization kicking in. ALSO… Jenny and Jen both refused this lifestyle, so this is the first time we’re seeing an American agree and go through with it.
Personally, when it comes to Sharper and Shekinah, they might be better off 1) trying to find his son and 2) raising her daughter. This hasn’t been mentioned, but with the war in Ukraine and his son being an adult-age Russian male at this point, one would hope he is ok and alive.
