    I am new to the gun community. I used to shoot with my dad, who was a gun enthusiast, when I was younger but that was more or less to spend quality time with him. I didn't really share the same I interest in guns that he did.
    A few years ago I moved from the Boston area to Florida and have since started becoming more interested and active in the gun community. In these trying times I want NO one to infringe my or anyone else's right to bear arms.
    I have seen many of your training videos and have learned a great deal from them. They have really helped me quite a lot. I would love do one of your training weekend things, but unfortunately my health is not great and it would be very difficult for me to do a lot of the physical things y'all do. Just seeing the drills you preform and teach, has enabled me to learn and train as best I can on my own at my on speed and physical abilities. Most of it being dry fire, but all of it has made me have much better understanding of how to improve my skills.
    Just wanted to let you know you are making a positive impact on more people than just those that attend your seminars.
    So thank you for that. Keep doing what you do.

    Excellent methodology of the craft of fighting with a firearm. The one thing I would like to focus on is your morning brief. I have heard hundreds of them, from some of the top names of the gun game and this is among some of the best. Straight and to the point about people being realistic about their goals and how to achieve them. No ego. No smoke and mirrors. Just the truth. Bravo bother.

    I wish I could take a Carry Trainer Class. I like the feedback when you're doing it right but I really like the feedback when you're doing it wrong. Each person is pushed to their own failure point and learns from there. Maybe Florida Panhandle will make the lesson plan one day.

    It’s amazing how much time is spent on non dominant hand grip in these videos, and yet I still have to deliberately think about grip with my G or I don’t do it .

    • @texasbeast239
      @texasbeast239 3 роки тому

      I think with smaller, lighter guns, it's easy for us to get in the bad habit of not gripping our guns as tightly as we should, because we can so easily get away with it. That is, until it comes time to actually shoot them, and then those bad habits reveal themselves.
      But if we carry heavier, especially long slide, guns, which have a tendency to want to nose over and slip right out of our hands, that forces us to acquire better grips even when we're just drawing and pointing, dry firing, whatever.
      My long slide guns used to be PITAs to manipulate, because they felt so awkwardly imbalanced in my hands. I avoided them so I could focus on my Glock. But once I stopped making excuses and starting forcing myself to handle the long slides too, I really worked on my grip. And now these guns feel awesome!
      It won't take care of itself. You gotta deal with it, some time. Might as well be now.

    The Federal Air Marshals qualification (7 drills) is all you need to do to practice real life defensive training with the handgun. Google and practice. Master the accuracy and time of the Air Marshals Qual and you will be in the top 1% of shooters nationwide.

    I like how he teaches to point shoot from the hip. I always said first one to get a hit in a gunfight wins. Have a good friend who's a trainer on a tactical team and carry instructor and I eat him up out of the holster because they train finger off the trigger until you get sight picture.

    I’ve never seen a laser based system that was worth a crap. Half an hour to set up and calibrate, rarely actually aligns/calibrates/zeroes in, detects a shot if you’re damn lucky. Mantis X10 and Mantis Academy...much better. These laser rounds suck.
