@@thewanderingforester Hi Roger! 😊 There has been some nice Autumn weather back home, but I don’t know about you.. I do sometimes miss the warm weather. It seems so long ago! All the Best. Sue
Hi Guys, absolutely stunning. It must be an amazing feeling waking up every morning knowing you are going to have a lovely day and see all that amazing scenery. What an adventure.
@@DAoutdoors Hi Dave! It’s truly addictive. The simplicity of it is just beautiful. Wherever you choose to go 🥰 Another one is planned for summer ‘25. Really appreciate you following this. 🤗
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth in 2025 I will mostly be drag racing for the final year. After that I intend to do more mountaineering. However I have told my buddy Dave I will go in July/Aug 2025 if he does all the organising. We want to go to Italy & do some mountains from that side. Dont know where would be ideal base yet, any recommendations?
@ There are no 4000m peaks there, but I love the Dolomites! There is an excellent hostel with sauna, jacuzzi, etc., on the summit of the Campolongo Pass in Alta Badia, reasonable prices in Summer. Or, though I haven’t done it yet, the view you were looking at in the video from Rifugio Pastore is the highest hut in the Alps, the Capanna Margherita. You can traverse a few 4000ers from there, and I think it’s at a reasonable grade too. Hoping to do it next year. Ciao! 😊
1:19 Maurice The Marmot 😃 Yeah, those views of the layered mountains....magical! We had lunch in that restaurant in Alagna before heading up to the Citta di Mantova hut and then Punta Gnifetti the next day. Happy memories, thanks Sue 😘
@@IanTupmanOutdoors You’re welcome Ian! I’ve never seen quite so many marmots as we did in this trek. The bar was really friendly, that’s the Italians for you 🥰
Another good one Sue - I do feel for the five foot lyth when she's getting up off the floor with a big pack. Ha ha! Some awesome views once more - enough to stop you still. And what a cool artisan place that refuge was. Well, it's much more of an amble now. Good going. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Haha! I had to laugh when I put that bit of footage together 😂 Italy is fantastic, but not as well signposted. Yet somehow that’s why I love Italy ❤️ Thanks for watching Mark, it’s been great to share this one. TTFN! ✌️
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth A nice little insert Sue. I so hope to get out there. Hey, I found a 140 mile trail the other day to a town in the Italian Alps I've wanted to return too. It's my mission. A pleasure as always.
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth Yeah, me too Sue. We skid in Aprica with the Parachute Regiment as young boys. I've wanted to go back ever since Paul died. I had a hunch there might be a long-distance trail that would enable that. I'm sure they are passionate people - always helps with the fondness of a place.
Just keeps on getting view after view after view! lovely!
