That was a beautiful campsite looking at the Matterhorn ⛰. Yes, it beats the shed 😊 Lovely scenery around, but a very stoney barren area. You had great weather. It will be bringing back great memories. Thanks again for creating the video and sharing 👍
@@catchyoulater.5836 You’re very welcome Mick 🤗 The summer seems a lot way back, doesn’t it? I hope you’re back’s healing nicely after all that sun & seawater
Wow! More incredible landscapes, some of them not so pretty though. Ski infrastructure looks so brutal out of winter 😒 Sue, the view from your first camp was to die for and you captured the sunset perfectly in those stills. Mind you, the second camp was pretty damn good as well 😍 Good to see you all in rude health again after your bouts of sickness. 🤗🤗
@@IanTupmanOutdoors Hi Ian 🤗 Yes, it’s unbelievable that we could have enjoyed such a spectacular view underneath that lot. We saw a lot of ski tows, it seems to be a burgeoning enterprise. Such a shame for an iconic mountain to be built around like that. It must be fabulous in Winter but you’d think there’d be more of an effort to keep these areas tidy & attractive in the Summer months. There are so many visitors at that time of year. A beautiful hike though, & not that popular with thru-hikers. ❤️
Well, the last pitch was pretty epic as was the Matterhorn pitch Sue. I think this section had its own allure industrial splurge and all. Hey, let's not forget the Ibex. They were certainly a nice touch. Good going - the trail keeps giving. Have a great week ahead. Mark
@@WyeExplorer Hi Mark. Yep, the trail always provides 😊 I think the industrial surroundings somehow made that pitch all the better. A very special place, I’ll never forget that night. I reckon you might have liked that water. What a swim that would be eh?
@@FIVE-FOOTLyth It sure does and has been doing Sue. Yeah, the contrast worked there and you were forced to find somewhere. Re-the water wasn't someone skinny dipping? Yeah, fresh I'd imagine.
@ Baltic, I reckon 😂 I’m far too much of a wuss to get in water that’s hurty cold 🥶 Hope you’ve had a good weekend. The weather looks very challenging down your way!
Remarkable how the Italian side is so much more lush and verdant than the Swiss 😮even without the ski infrastructure Sue! But those camps Alpine meadow or the Matterhorn 🏔️🤭 (I’d have to toss a coin as to the best ) brilliant👌🏻 Interesting that the glacier you crossed wasn’t there a few centuries ago ??? Amazing it has appeared as so many are disappearing 😢 But guys what an epic trek so far 🏔️🏔️🏔️👌🏻 Best wishes Simon 🤠👍
@@SetForAdventures Hi Simon! Yes, the Italian side was different. Not just the scenery but also the signage. I love Italy, but it’s a little more chaotic 😂 But that’s part of the reason I love it so much 🥰 The people, the landscape, the weather.. Bella!!

@@FIVE-FOOTLyth I would imagine Sue - hey I'm no winter swimmer - November at a push. Yeah, blowy down here.
