Hi! I’m Sue, my maiden name is Lyth, I’m 5 feet tall. Join me in the great outdoors, on foot, by bike and sometimes in the water.
Here to inspire, uplift, and make you smile.
Mountains, camping, climbing, hiking, cycling, swimming. For those interested, I’ve completed the Scottish Munros twice, and the Corbetts. Plus a good handful of the Alpine mountains above 4,000 metres.
It’s well known that spending time outdoors is good for our health. But don’t just do it for your own peace. Take responsibility for leaving our beautiful outdoor spaces with no trace of your presence.

2 classic cycling climbs in the Alps, and a walk to an impressive glacier from the Col de la Croix de Fer. Col du Glandon was a toughie, so the summit footage is included when riding Col de la Croix du Fer from Rochetaillee

Cycling 100 miles - LAKE GENEVA. Was it worth it?

Lac Leman, or Lake Geneva is a beautiful sight. So we cycled right round it. A total of 114.5 miles, mainly flat, only one very short climb near the end. And then the nearby Lake Annecy with it's beautiful town. A much shorter ride of roughly 40km And to finish, Col de la Forclaz I've given my opinion of the lakes from a cycling perspective - let me know what you think!

RIMPFISCHHORN - an eventful and somewhat painful ascent to 4000m plus. This is a previously published video which contained some errors. My thanks to the viewer who pointed this out. Remade and hopefully improved - and I enjoyed the remake, so I hope you all enjoy it too. Dave's conversion of an ex-council van. How a shell was transformed to a superb mobile home NOTE: No toilet in the van, we use public conveniences, or if absolutely necessary use a trowel to dig a hole & bury our waste in the correct manner, leaving NO trace. Failing that we have a Kinspory portable toilet. I swear that I'll never have to use that though!

Hiking from the meadows of Alpe Mase, through St Jaques and a frantic shopping diversion by bus, before reascending to Resy, a break at Rifugio Ferraro and the lovely descent through the meadows from Colle della Betaforca to the town of Alagna, and choosing the campsite at Rifugio Pastore. A beautiful hot hike with the compang of marmots Hope you enjoy it!

Trockner Steg, over the border to Italy to a beautiful area above Le Mase Our most spectacular stealth camp yet, below the Matterhorn. Trockner Steg looks like an industrial waste land - until you drop down just below the cable car station to a glacial lake. Watching the sun set over the Matterhorn was a beautiful experience which I will never forget. Enjoy the journey from Switzerland to Italy

Finale for the Haute Route. And the start of the Tour de Monte Rosa. The 2 hikes overlap at St. Niklaus, i.e., the traditional final section of the TMR for us was the start of the TMR. Haute Route: Le Peuty to Le Chable. The ascent to, and over, the spectacular Fenetre d’Arpette with views across to the impressive but rapidly retreating glacier. We camp at Champex, with a brief visit to the very popular lake - Lac Champex. After which we move on to Le Chable for provisions and a search for a stealth camp. Good you enjoy it!

The Walker's Haute Route. Join us for part 1 of this amazing hike, from Chamonix to Le Peuty. After completing the route and arriving in Zermatt, we then embarked on another hike, The Tour De Monte Rosa. The latter traditionally starts and finishes in Zermatt, and the first 2 days overlap with the last 2 of the WHR.
