One of my favorite things about all this building, other than all the lovely people shown, is that Leo is getting to see teamwork in action almost daily. He doesn't even know he's learning a lesson because it's such a natural part of his days, but it's so important for him to know that teamwork is a good thing and that it doesn't mean that anyone is any less capable. So many adults struggle to ask for help because they don't really understand the blessing and brilliance of working with a solid team. Way to go EVERYONE!!! Love me some Trent and Allie (and Leo and Jennifer, and Grayson, and Brandon, and Kevin, and Russell, and Joel, and Trent's mom (forgot her name), and Grandma and Grandpa, and all the people who bring joy and/or help into your lives -- you guys really get it)! You're my FAVORITE UA-cam family!!

Just a tip... Out of the Hundreds of bath tubs I've installed. What you installed is a black mold trap, the tub, will sweat, from hot water, cold water, and different temp in airspace under the tub. Always use, green board, or rock wall board, all around the tub. Both are water PROFF. Under the tub, 25 year chalking on all cracks, to stop water from seeping in. And rotting the wood. Also, sealing the plywood floor underneath the tub with, roll on water PROFFING. Raw, insulation, rock wool, up against the tub. A black mold breeding ground... Good luck. With two boys, banging around in a tub.. 😂,. Like monkeys. Get good home owner insurance, and check the box for mold, and water damage.
These are all great suggestions😊. I think once the tub is installed, they will install the waterproofed backer board? I never knew about sealing the plywood floor. When we do our bathroom, we will do this😊
I agree with everything you have said .. and I think that tub is actually a piece of junk .. as flimsy as it is I would not install that for two bouncing boys . the weight of constant use and how flimsy it is will also be a problem .. not sure if they will be able to get around it being a trap for mold but I would revamp that entire set up ..
Might go back when the stress of getting things ready for baby… definitely a future problems … been there

My husband didn't want to screw with a tub or an enclosure so in our bathroom he put in a cowboy bathtub. A 6'x2'x2' galvanized watering trough and hung a rail from the ceiling for a full surround of shower curtains. I love it.

Allie, I think you added two Tablespoons of baking powder to those pancakes. As I was watching, you dipped into the red can twice. At the time I thought, "Surely that is not baking powder, but what else comes in a little red can?" And when you noted the difference in the fluffiness, it clicked. The recipe likely called for Teaspoons. At least it wasn't gunpowder!

We did a HUGE remodel in our house in 2018 and we hired a contractor ( and his team) to do ALL the work.
They ran into some BIG problems occasionally too…but what I learned from everything was that there is ALWAYS a Plan A, a Plan B and even sometimes there was a Plan C….. I NEVER knew that Problem Solving involved so many “ different planning”…. And our remodel is BEAUTIFUL and yours will be too!🏠😎💗🇺🇸
When I worked in new construction cleaning, the bathtubs were always installed when the framers were doing their thing.

Contractors will overbid if they don't want to do the work. I'm not saying that's what happened here, but it's possible. That's why it's always good to get multiple quotes.

I think you need to have more Leo shot videos. It may be more time consuming to edit the videos, but it will give you a new perspective that you didn't have before...and that will be fun! Getting close and then Allie's decorating touch will take over.

I follow a guy that’s building his own house in Alaska. He installed heated rubber mats on his exterior stairs. They work great. No idea how much they cost or if you can get them as long as you would need.
Just thinking you guys should make a little play area for Leo. Maybe a swing, slide, sand box and a little wading pool. He would love to have his own little space where he can go outside and play. I am so glad you found someone to do the muding and taping. Such a stress releaser for you guys.

The distance to the sun have nothing to do with the sun feeling so warm there. It's the less atmosphere above you that is less then at lower elevations that does it. So the light doesn't get as scattered higher up.
Yes, if it was the distance to the sun higher elevations wouldn't get snow but lower elevations would.
Yes, considering the sun is approx. 93 million miles from earth. So being a few thousand feet closer doesn't make the sun any hotter.
