I was entertained by Alien: Resurrection back then in a good way. I don't recall bad memories when I left the cinema. It had a well balanced humor in it that I liked. Thinking of it I like it above Prometheus. I wasn't pleased when I saw Premetheus in the cinema, but when Alien Covenant came out I suddenly cared much more about it. Killing off Elizabeth Shaw and making David the main character of the Alien franchise totally killed it for me.
David isn’t the main character of the alien franchise, he’s the main VILLAIN of the prequel films. That’s what. And the alien covenant downplaying seriously needs to stop, seriously. Alien Covenant DID have alot of "tense, suspenseful, and downright terrifying" imagery, sequences and set pieces IN the film regardless of the story plot points people didn't like in the film. Alien Covenant DID looks visually gorgeous and beautifully as a film as it WAS masterfully directed entirely as a whole completely AS a big budget beautifully dark horror movie SHOULD be!
@@Gadget-Walkmen I totally agree that the directing and look and overall suspense feel of Alien Covenant was in top, no doubt or disagreement there! 👍 But the story ruined the Alien universe it so much for ME, that I haven't felt any need to watch it again.... which is kind of sad... but that's just how it is... for me!
