By the look, It vaguely reminds me of a button accordion. The MPE thing is cool, however my concern is about getting good at playing with this (good as in "building muscle memory", being fast and precise, being able to play something more complex than a simple chord). I fear that, by changing scales, it's harder to build muscle memory like on a keyboard (where I know which note is under my fingers without having to look... most of the times anyway, I'm really out of practice at the moment). Also, I have no idea about the fingering (I saw at about 3'00" that you can play a triad with your finger close together, so maybe playing wide / open chords is easier than on a traditional keyboard?). I think the selling point of this controller (and other devices like this) is the fact of being forced of using a new / different approach than your usual one, you're not tricked into doing certain movements just because of your muscle memory / habits... it's like a "hard reset". Honestly... I don't know. My brain is wired on keyboards, to the point that I can't really use any other type of controller to play notes. I can barely tolerate the "keyboard mode" on the Elektron boxes (but it's just an octave... I mean, it's there for convenience) and I can't wrap my head around the "chromatic mode" of any 4x4 pad grid. That thing looks cool but I have no idea about the actual playing technique... maybe I should try it, but I'm so wired into keyboards that I know for sure I would give up after 2 minutes...
you mean that thing that costs 3x as much and doesnt even work standalone unless you buy the model with the processor which costs 6x? yeah, man, you're right. this thing makes no sense in existing. great call
No melody was demoed in making this video..
Glad to see a new video. Device look pretty good.
am happy to see new stuff
I wish there was a midi keyboard with MPE like the polybrute12 or osmose available.
they should have made it so you can connect a few of them side by side.
Jon what do you think of Adam Port and Keinemusik?
I love mine, it's awesome.

Pretty similar to what Ableton Push can do.
Is that THREE Moog SlimPhatty's behind you?
Yep
Logic?
Does it cv out?
Yes it does :)
Amazing instrument.
How does it sound?
Uh, did you actually play a single melody in this video?
Wondering how to pronounce the name "Exquis"? Probably like "Hex Keys"!
Xki 😊
they should have called it the 'Beehive'
Looks like a mini push
I thought you were quitting..
He quit trying to be a touring DJ. Gonna focus on producing
hmm Launchpad?
Looks really cool but also a bit pricy
Your voice is different.
How?
No it's the same old Jon 🤣
@@neze818 No, its clearly a clone
Nice what is this lol
🧐Ableton Push can do all of that and more.

Nice sounds but it broke on me in less then 2 weeks so I got a refund
How did it break?
@ it stopped functioning
For it to be up and down and not side ways looks stupid and inconvenient.. my opinion
It can be played sideways too.
