The manual recommends rotating the tires. I don't think you want rubber tires to camber as you suggested. Also, perhaps the ballooning could be caused if the left front is lifting off the track and spinning in the air a bit.
From dealing with non belted tires in the past and the low cost of these I won’t be doing any of that. I might be able to get away with subbing in a seperate left front every other week to help out. The belted usgt we run on tt02 do camber in and really speeds up the car after a few hundred laps since we get that without the balloon effect. On road will be another story. Those will get rotated if I decide to run this on road.
Congrats on the win! Got my 1st oval race (and first race on carpet) this coming Tuesday. Our club allows us to swap to a Hobbywing 1625 ESC, receiver of choice, Power Hobby 2000 mah 50C or kit battery, glue on the sidewall of the front right tire only and SXT (reg or lite only). Gonna run mine box stock for the 1st race(mainly because I won't be getting the ESC or battery til then). Also got a set of soft tires to mess with and 2 clear bodies to help distinguish the car on the track. I'm pumped and ready to go!
I bought two..finally got my second one and the second one seems messed up out of the box…the trim on the remote is turned all the way one way and the wheels are straight so there’s no adjustment and it only likes to turn left it hardly goes right…any ideas what that could be
the servo horn has 2 pieces and the one little piece on the end is plastic fitted so its kind of smashed on there without using the tooth spline count. take it off and recenter your trim on the remote and then put it back on so its basically cocked slightly the other way and then reattach it all. this should give you a better trim. also dont forget to slightly loosen all the screws on the knuckles hubs and steering links as they are super tight and bind things up. just a slight turn to un crack them.
