Doc's line "This kid is quick" is actually an inside joke by Next Level Games. Disco Kid is the only original boxer in Punch-Out Wii, which makes him stand out in comparison to all of the other boxers, most of whom debuted in the original arcade version, the arcade Super Punch-Out, or Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. This is because in the game's files, Disco Kid's data is listed under "kidquick". Kid Quick was one of the boxers in the original Punch-Out, ranked #3. Disco Kid is still 210 pounds and a Brooklyn native, both of which are attributes of Kid Quick. He even sports an afro in his Title Defense match, though nowhere near as large and round as Kid Quick's. Chances are that he was meant to be Kid Quick in development, but he was changed to Disco Kid in order to make him a bit more interesting.
@depressedrobloxgamer Yeah, I know that, the files in the game label him as kid quick, but some people disagree, which I understand and respect. I'm just stating my opinion that's all
XD Thank you :) So, when I started doing this, my intention was to get people to play a game or give it a shot through its music. With this in mind, I try to pick one song that represents the game, either because it's the best in my opinion or it captures it's essence perfectly. So each entry/episode would feature a new game. But maybe in the future I might upload the complete soundtrack for many amazing games. Punch-Out would definitely be in this list.
I had this theme and Glass Joe's on repeat, trying to choose which one to feature, so I completely understand :) Finally went for Disco Kid because I usually tend towards funk/disco/jazz, but Glass Joe was a really close second.
Dude no comments and not even 1k views. This is awsome. I hope people find this. And please don't make a vine saying stuff like oh 2k views and no comments and so on. Actually do whatever you want im not your parents.
I love the soundtrack for the game overall, and how well produced and designed the whole experience is. In terms of the other boxers, I believe I had a tiered list for each one as I was deciding which to pick for the list. I think Glass Joe was next in that list, but I seem to have lost it, so unsure about the rest. I also had some songs from the menus in there, which are sometimes overlooked but are also amazing. Will probably listen to all of them now after your comment XD
@@batugamesllc Yeah I enjoy the other songs as well and the menu song is good as well. It’s a real shame there isn’t an official release of the soundtrack, I would like to listen to them all offline. Have fun re-listening to it all again.
Hello :) We usually just feature one song from each game in this series of videos, as it's purpose is to get people to check out the game and/or rest of the soundtrack elsewhere if they like this one. This way we share the views and/or time with the devs themselves, the composers and other youtubers who do upload the complete soundtrack. We may start uploading the complete soundtracks in the future, but not in the plans atm. If you do want another song from these games though, we do a 'Second Pick', where we feature another song from the games in the current list, but it is currently exclusive for our patreons.
@@strangeandinteresting you may be joking yourself, but I don't think the other two were. And even if all of you were, due to this being the internet, you'll have to forgive the fact it's easy to get sarcasm and seriousness mixed with with typed words.
FUN FACT: Disco Kid is the only one to have a "Get Up" version of his theme in the "Pause" version.
Really? That’s intresting
that's really intensing
That's actually so intresting
Damn, why is his pause theme so relaxing?
chillin with this one

I just realize that the pause theme and the battle theme of Disco Kid mix so good.
Nice job doing the remix!!!
Thank you :) I was debating on which one to share/choose, so eventually I just said: 'Why not both?' XD

Why does the “Get Up!” Version go hard
My favorite part is the part that plays when you knock down Disco Kid. It starts at 3:12
My favorite is when he knocks you down because of the dance he makes.

This mix you made is fantastic!
Disco Kid rules! 👑
After listening to this, I can confidently say I will in fact be adding it to my playlist.

Buenísimo bro
Disco Kid, Super Macho Man y Sandman, para mi, son los mejores osts del juego.
Aunque todo el juego tiene joyitas, esta me encanta
I can feel the rhythm :D
I would so dig to have such high quality mix for every character's theme.
I just realized something. My man Disco Kid gives me Cam Newton Vibes. Two legends
I wanna believe that disco kid is kid quick

Just put all of the tracks from this game in here lol. Your mix is better than the Gilvasunner one.

This song is actually so great!
disco kids theme is just insanly good for the third fighter
Ahhhh yeah disco kid was pretty technical to beat but this theme is the one of the best theme. But Glass Joe is better with his theme

They better put him in the new punch out game revealed by Mike Tyson

Anybody frowning for no reason?
that gameplay footage in the background is utterly horrible
like he didnt even beat disco kid in 4 seconds smh
The got hit by the "Here it comes!" punch! There is no more obvious a telegraph! Thankfully they're so good at music to make up for it!
Get over it buddy, it's a remix vid. It's about the music, not the gameplay
