    • @mrubuntuking5257
      @mrubuntuking5257 6 років тому +3

      Yep, the French and to a lesser extent Italian brands focus more on fashion and style, not just expensive materials that are impeccably put-together. The interior materials of an Alfa Romeo or DS can't hold a candle to almost anything German or even Japanese, but I still prefer them because they just look so good. Look at Mercedes: the C-Class squeaks and rattles like a Chevy and the E-Class has no shortage of plastic even at $90k, but they make the most of what they do use. BMW, Acura, or even Cadillac may have better wood, leather, and plastic, but its all just slabs of material glued on top of each other with straight lines. Where the materials are mediocre, they really stand out, because there isn't any design to distract your eyes and hands, so it seems like there's much more cheap stuff than there is, at least compared to a French or Italian car. I'd rather have plastic as the Giulia does it than leather as the 5-series does it, personally. Carhartt flannel might be higher quality amd more reliable than the latest expensive designer trends, but which do you think *looks* nicer? That's a big part lf what luxury's about, to me.

    • @mkrestuarant
      @mkrestuarant 5 років тому

      @@fluidefluide1128 Well. Let just say that nearly every car makers are now copying Audi's single grille design,Didn't they? It's just a trend. Just make a grille big. That's the thing. But other than that. PSA products have more outrages design on any other car manufacturer products. They just create their own way of designing an art sculpture on wheels. I just love the way PSA did things. It's just outrages. Eventhough sometimes it turns out to be not so goergous. But at least it's unique and refreshing to see one driving on the road.

    • @jonarific8504
      @jonarific8504 6 років тому

      I suspect (beyond the placement closer to eye level already mentioned) it's because a lot of manufacturers make you pay extra to upgrade to a larger screen so a wrap around housing would make the car look like it was missing something on entry level models.

    Apart from these small SUV´s being completely not needed, they certainly made a good looking one with this - funky and choppy stance, pretty cool details and interior looking like no other. Thus it comes and an EV as well. And for those who do not like the overall quite outspoken styling, there is plenty of other less playful looking small SUV´s to choose from. I salute French car makers for doing French stuff like this - no need for all cars looking more or less the same.

    The price is incredible for what is a small Citroen/Peugeot nobody wants to pay that much for a compact French car.

    If it had a ~300mile EV range they'd be onto a winner but ~200mile is still a bit on the short side for most people's comfort.

    I like the look of the exterior on the Lexus UX. But for everything else, the DS is better, especially because it’s an EV.

    I like this...and no, I don't think it's over-styled either. Having said that though, the 'shark fin' B pillar is the only questionable look. How about that interior!!! Certainly different and not in a bad way!

    Why are we going back and not forward .... only on diesel? Min 2.0 diesel for miles and fuel ecodemy ... stop diesels when range on all other formats is the same.... awsom looking car btw
