So true.... but my AR dealer took care of that little nuisance ... ;-)) They installed a switch which opens/shuts the valves in the exhaust system manually in every mode (DNA) ..... life is good ..;-)))

That's sad. You really have to have extra money that you don't mind seeing again to buy an Alfa Romeo.
I currently drive a Giulietta and want to upgrade to a Stelvio. It looks and drives amazingly. Alfa's are massively underrated. The issues of the past are no longer there. They are well built, amazing to drive and reliable as long as they're well maintained as with most cars.
Did you get your Stelvio? I too had a Giulietta and absolutely loved it. I’ve had an Evoque for the last few years and found it a big laggy and clunky despite not being very big. I’m just in the process a Stelvio and can’t wait to get back in an alfa again!
The Stelvio is great! No complaints here.

I can't blame Italians for not allowing you to put dampers in Comfort when in Race mode. It makes sense to me. Otherwise it's like running 100 meters race on flip flops.

Also, since I talked about BMWs, they were very simple! The only complicated tech feature was the Check Panel and, where available, the cellular telephone on the split armrest! And that's it!

It's just the fiat stuff in there putting me off. Fiat is probably the worst brand on earth when it comes to quality, paying so much money for a car I don't want them to have any affiliation with it. The BMW X5 m would also be my choice.

It's not as loud and growly as the amg does but it does has that very aggressive, punchy notes that really reminds me of the ferraris.. omg i cant get over it!

This pretty much ticks all the boxes in my book: Beautiful Italian styling, it’s very fast and it has room for a family of five and their dog! I mean, what more could you possibly want?
Well, a decent entertainment/navigation system, I'm afraid. Imho that's a bit of a let down in this car. Car looks and sounds great though, that's a fact!

I've got an exhaust valve mod on my Giulia QF, so I would imagine once the Stelvio QF hits the market the same will be released. This means you don't need to stick it in Race mode for the valves to open and can have the ride in comfort. And for the record in D, the valves open over 3.5k anyway. A mode is not all weather, it's advanced efficiency which shuts down cylinders. These QF's are brilliant, and anybody buying are going to love them.
The fact that the annoying loud exhaust can only be used in race mode is a plus for this car, not a minus!

South4153 This is a crappy American/Italian car with ugly bad quality and bad reliability , it has a lovely steering and engine but in general is not better buy in then a Macan Turbo or a Cayenne turbo with better interior, and superior ride quality, good luck buying something that is going to loose a lot of value every year

Love Your vid's. But why so many reviews mistakenly names "A" as a "All weather" mode? It is not! Not in case of a Giulia nor Stelvio. "A" stands for "Advanced Efficiency".
Because the A setting does both.

In the Giulietta, Mito and older car of the brand was All weather

The reason for that exhaust thing is that we italians don't like things that seem sporty, but they are not. Just like the S-Line packs on Audis. With Alfa you have to get full sporty Quadrifoglio car if you want to look sporty. And you also have to BE sporty if you want to make a sporty noise. I hope I explained myself well :)

Great review! - And this SUV is entertaining and it looks pretty good - really good proportions, nothing appears weird or forced in the design - Alfa did a great job with some help from Ferrari, but who would complain about that. I´d like to see a VS between this and the RR SVR and perhaps a third contender on track. No doubt the SVR will have more off-road capabilities but for sporty driving dynamics, it would be interesting to see.

This car is super fun to drive. I got the opportunity to review one a few months ago. One of the things that took a bit for me to get used to was when it went into a standby mode at stop lights to save on petrol. I know you drive a lot more new cars than I do. Is that standby pretty normal in this day and age? Also the reason race mode takes off some of those safety features is for the track. I was watching you with envy. Heidi

DailyMeds yeah. This car actually shuts off as I recall, but all you have to do is hit the gas and it will go again. I heard it was being implemented more often, but I drove a 2019 MINI and it did not have it. I was just curious. Mat drives a lot of new cars. Heidi
@@HeidiandFranny Many new cars have that feature. It usually works when you put it in neutral, then hitting the clutch turns the engine back on.
Edit: That's how it works on a manual car. I've never tried it on an auto yet.

This is a beautiful car.
I have one. This car is a monster. It may look like a SUV but it's actually a Ferrari in disguise. When in race mode you feel like having a rocket beneath. If you're not an experienced driver DO NOT BUY it or you'll end up killing yourself. This car is for men, you need guts to push it to the limits, if you're a German accountant stay away from it and go for your boring X5s. it's made for the road, it's all about the driving experience, if you buy a car for the infotainment systems it means you have no idea of what a car is, that is driving and soul. Go buy Audis and BMWs if you are no petrol heads, this is not for you.
I saw one in my town I normally hate suvs but I I can tell for sure I would love to have this stelvio its gorgeous and has proper sporty handling
