Rice Pilaf is that perfect blend of rice and pasta (usually orzo or fideo) and it is as simple and quick to make as it is satisfying to eat! I'm talking eight basic ingredients you may already have in your kitchen where it'll be on the table in 25 minutes from prep-to-serve. The secret is in some Greek seasoning, but if you don't have any on-hand, I show you how to make your own in the recipe card below.

I don’t normally comment on videos, but I just wanted you to know that you always brighten my day. I had a crap week and this was a great video to watch on a Sunday morning :-) and of course I’ve been watching you for years and your recipes are always rock solid. Thanks for another great one.
And now this made MY day! I hope you see better weeks ahead. Leave the garbage in the past!
"Rice a Roni but less phony"..... you crack me up!
My Dad was in the rice business (Riviana) for many, many years so I've made and eaten a lot of rice over the years. We love all your recipes and have your books. Variety is the spice of life and I think about a table spoon or a quarter cup of wild rice would add some color and a nutty flavor to this dish if you want to pump it up once in a while. Great dish!
Jeffrey I love your recipes and I'm going to buy all your cookbooks on payday and whoever is watching this should do the same!
I just have one question for you if you don't have a video do you have a Mexican rice recipe in your cookbook?
You're the best!
I am totally making this with grilled lamb chops!
“Sauté the onions in the BUDDA”. As an ex Brooklyn boy I’m not going to let that one slip by. Because of your videos and infectious personality I purchased an Instant Pot and can’t wait to try all your recipes. Thanks from Vermont.
I just made this recipe used better than bouillon Italian and the Greek seasoning it was fanastic. I served it with Italian sausage and green peppers. Ty you so much
Wonderful!
Your instant pot recipes are some of the best. Happy New Year to you and Richard ✌️💛
Looks good, and so easy too
Been waiting for you to make this.
You are just a joy to watch!
Well thank you!
I have all of these ingredients, so I'm making this. I'm sure it's delicious. I love easy to make dishes. Thanks. I always look forward to your videos.
Made this for a New Year's gathering and it was a hit, thank you!
Oh yummy. Your recipes are always so creative and delicious. Can’t wait to try this one!!
I love your videos, thanks.❤
This looks so easy and looks delicious I def will be making this as a side dish!!!! Thanks again Jeffrey!!!!
Thanks Jeff, love rice pilaf 😊 And that Greek seasoning is great. I use it on chicken, tasty stuff ✌🏻🎄
So good!
I think the fideo is also called vermicelli. 👍🏻 Love your cookbooks. 😊
Happy Holidays.
A friend gave me Cavender’s seasoning years ago and its tops on my seasoning list. I’m excited to make your rice pilaf. TFS
Happy New Year, Jeffrey! 🩵
Perfect! Happy new year to you as well!
That looks great! I'd try that with a meat in sauce dish. I have the book so I can look it up! :D
Mmmmm mmmmm🤤
Thanks for mentioning how to make it Dairy free...I'm new to that world
You are so welcome!
Lol, nope orzo is always in my house. Seriously I'm getting up off the couch now since I have all the ingredients. Thanks Jeoffrey!
Any time!
How about doing a Biryani dish
On the list!
We watch all your videos. I have never seen you do a recipe with organ meats such as heart, liver or kidney. These are nutritious and quite tasty when done right. Would like to see what you come up with.
Hi Jeffrey video I’m definitely gonna try this. I have a question do you ever use the rice button on the Insta pot? I use it all the time and the rice comes out perfect.
Never because the pot doesn’t know what kind of rice I’m using (white vs brown which is a major difference) or how much. Team “manual” or “pressure cook” custom times for all my recipes.
😍😍
Contemplating whether I can leave the pasta out for gluten intolerant household? 🤔 on another note, I have all your cookbooks and bought my pressure cooker just so I could try out your recipes. 😅
I've made this dish twice. While it is delicious, both times I got the 'add water' on my display. Both times, I turned the IP off and let it sit for 10 minutes. The rice was perfectly cooked but I wonder if the reason I got this message is because I substituted the orzo for w-w spaghetini and it soaked up the liquid more than if I had used orzo??
Nevertheless, it won't prevent me from making it again and again and again... it's so tasty!
Tried this recipe yesterday, and got the "burn food" message :-(
When I checked the contents of the pot, bottom was burnt all right, but the rice I was able to salvage was delicious. Will definitely cook again.
Hi there I just wanted to know something I have a instant pot and can u make a video on yellow 🟡 rice it has saffron flavor and I wanted to try it on the instant pot but am scared it might blow up on me 🤯🤯🤯
Recipe for "greek seasoning"???
Never heard of pasta in a pilaffdish.
You used the Pressure Cook button. So, why don’t you use the “Rice” button ?
First
Gotta live up to your name!
If you can't find Fideo, use bucatini pasta broken into small pieces, hollow pasta like Fideo. Fry bucatini pieces first.
