Sounded very smooth after the replacement of the end caps. You have extended the life of the mower and the generator by doing all the cleaning inside the generator. Fantastic tips for all of us. Thanks for all your videos.
Wow I looks like the new bearing plate did the trick if I am watching properly. I think you did a lot of this at the plant years ago. Am I correct?? So great to watch a master at work.
You're correct my Good Friend! For a few years, I was the only remaining qualified Utility Operator to run the Reman line for these Starter/Generators as well as generators. I would wait until I had a full pallet (about 75 s/g's and generators) then spend a week on that old line with borrowed line workers from the Alternator assembly lines. Cheers my Good Friend! Sean~
I would be interested in the info you have on how the regulator can affect the charge circuit. I know I can clean the points in the regulator but is there a test on the regulator both in the circuit or independent of the circuit. In other words, troubleshooting a charging issue.
@@ZippoVarga thanks, Zip. Impact wrench got it off. The pulley, end cap and bearing slid right off after. I’m waiting for new bearings to put it back together.

What's the max electrical output from one of these starter generators?
