  • This is Days 4, 5 and 6 of my 10 day Adirondacks canoe trip, where I meet up with a bunch of awesome other Adirondack adventurers. During Part 1 I met up with Alan and Tracey from ‪@AlansOutdoorAdventures‬ and now in Part 2 I meet up with John and Logan once again from the ‪@ADKAddicts‬ An amazing time is had by all as we camp, fish, paddle and explore this beautiful lake. The Smallmouth Bass ended up being a little more active than the Pike we were targeting, but we still manage to find a few really nice ones.
You can check our part 1 of this trip here: • Late Spring Canoe Camp...

It really is! One of my favorite places to camp and fish in the spring and fall for sure!

Definitely worth the wait Jay, all in all you caught 3 nice size speices of fish. One of my favorite camping breakfast is tacos with eggs, sausage, pepper and onion and salsa. John and I discussed getting hooked while on a trip. I learned the hard way, add a pair of of heavy wire cutters to your kit.

Thanks Michael! Getting hooked while out on a trip definitely scares the hell out of me. I am quick to yank my hand back the second a fish starts flopping around with some trebles in it's mouth.

Really nice man. Super motivating for me to get off my butt. I’m staring at my paddlers map and planning my September trip.

I love those Paddlers Maps. Where are you thinking of heading?

You got some decent sized smallies. Especially that one that looked to be a good 3lber or so. Its funny that you were targeting something else but then you catch the good sized smallies. If you were going for the smallies you would have got some massive pike lmao

Probably the same pike that swallowed your live bait earlier.

It really does! The occasional knots are totally worth it though, I hate that line memory! Thanks for watching JTD!

Man! I had not watched Part 2 yet! I was still recovering from the idea of cooking Pierogis at camp and catching monster Pike! LOL! Unfortunately I didn't take any Pierogi with me nor catch any Pike my first trip. 😞 I definitely have a couple problems ironed out with kayak trolling and will be ready next trip! I got a couple of Scotty Rocket Launcher Tube rod holders that should get the poles out of my cockpit and the lines away of my paddles. Did you end up reserving that camp ahead of time or was it open when you got there? This trip I just went on showed all of the camp sites as not available but as we paddled around there were quite a few open. Glad we had our site available for the Lean2Rescue while we were there. Great video man, and thank for sharing your tackle choices Jay. Jeff

First of, thanks for watching and following along, I really appreciate it. So in the early spring and late fall this campground actually becomes a first come first server type of setup as far as the campsites go. We really love hitting it in the late fall when the only other people you see are the occasional hunter boating past. It makes for some really serene nights and mornings fishing on that beautiful open lake.

Hello, nice video. I just want to ask you, do you reserve campground house's before or you just find available and stay overnight, thank you.

During the summer you do need to make a reservation here, during the early spring and late fall it becomes first come first serve. Thanks for watching!
