33, wow your a young man living the dream! Good for you. I’m 53 and went the way of a desk job. I won’t say I regret it but I’m hell bent now I’m spending as much time as possible in the outdoors while my body still works. Here’s to ice out! Cheers!
Another great video. Turning 70 this July, going first solo in spring. Afraid past canoe mates too old, too broken down or unfortunately passed away. Maybe I'll see you in the ADKs this year!
Happy Birthday, Great video and thank you for sharing. I have to checkout Long Lake and looks very nice We moved to the Lake George area 5yrs ago. So far checked out paradox lake, trout lake, luzerne, Fourth Lake, glenlake and did some island camping on LG. So much beautiful scenery and cool lakes up here to explore.
Dude we were just talking about going up the Cold river in Rondeau territory and seeing what the lean too was all about. We will be there in July for 5 days.
Nice. I’ve done a lot of canoeing in my 20s back in the day up your way trout fishing in all kinds of different weather for sure every spring. 52 now and work way too much watching these videos on my breaks. Just ordered one of those mule coolers and I’m going do my first solo trip this spring. ❤ 🏕️ 🎣. Blessed buddy 👍🏻
The fact that you are in the Adirondacks is totally cool. Like your channel and style. I know you like the lean 2’s any suggestions pre Memorial Day where I could grab one? How do you know you have a small mouth on the line?
Happy Birthday!! We'll be on Long Lake in mid-July. How to contact you about guided fishing trip? I know what you mean about your birthday. I'm still 22 in my head, and it's scary to look in the mirror and see 66. If you like Nessmuk, you'll probably enjoy "An Adirondack Passage: The Cruise of the Canoe Sairy Gamp" by Christine Jerome. Tight lines!
Thank you! If you are looking into a guided canoe trip with me, give Adirondack Mountain & Stream a call and talk to Jamie. He owns the outfitter I work for and can get the basic details down before we plan anything. www.adirondackmountainandstream.com/
What do you use for the transducer mount? I have struggled to find something with a retractable arm like that. Would love to know make and model. Thanks for the content!
Hey. I am a subscriber and this may sound like an odd question but did you used to travel up long lake in a canoe and power it with a little gas motor to take you up into raquette and cold river?

Enjoyed the video...do you use steel leader?
I do use a steel leader when Pike fishing. Never seems to hurt my catch rate!

Where do you park your cars when you are out on the lake for so many days?
Stephanie and I actually live close enough that she can just drop me off and pick me up wherever the canoe takes me.

No that is not me, never put a motor on my canoe before. Thanks for watching!
Jay where did you get your cooler backpack?
