  • Warm days, cold nights & black flies. Welcome to May in the Adirondacks! We spend a night in the Jeep on Fish Creek Pond campground. The next day we visit Raquette River Outfitters in Tupper Lake & take off in a small kayak to explore places the Jeep can't get to. Fighting wind and a heavy load, we head up Fish Creek to spend the night at a primitive campsite. May 2023.

Awesome..... are the flies an issue in September or October?

Fly season is May through the beginning of July, so they won't be an issue in September. You might still have some mosquitoes depending on temp and location.

Hi Jim - thanks for giving me some new ideas for video and personal enjoyment. I have 2 UA-cam channels and unfortunately 6 years worth of videos (along with my channel) disappeared & I haven't figured out what happened or how to get them back! So now I have to start over from scratch, and although I'm sad about losing footage that included trips with my son, I'm looking forward to making new memories! I'm pretty much in your backyard - raised in the southern portion of the Adirondacks and I also have a Jeep - a 2 door JK. So a RTT is not in the works but I thought about getting a small off road trailer from Intech. Keep up the videos - I'll be one of your new subs! Sorry to hear about your channel. Did you try contacting someone at YT? Thanks for the sub and hope to see some of your videos. More content in the works about exploring the ADKs.

I am not a UA-camr by any means but as a viewer I will say I enjoy the video and content but the volume needs work. I had to keep changing my volume up and down to hear you. Maybe a good attachable microphone would be better so we can hear more of you and less ambient noise. I look forward to more videos. Thanks
