Seen these trucks many times on the motorways, either Piggy back style or loaded with cabs or units. I've never seen how they load themselves in any detail before this video, so good on you for filming it, I watched every minute and loved it. Those Guys certainly have it down to a fine art when it comes to Piggy back. :-)

All the difficulties he had inching that iveco shows you the limitations of automatic boxes right there!revs, nothing, more revs and still nothing and now cos we’re off the brakes we’re rolling the wrong way so give it even more revs and suddenly we’re off at pace.no delicacy.bloody things can be dangerous!

it's called piggyback and it only looks nice, but doing that even twice or three times a day was so bloody annoying;/ even if we travelled empy in two lorries for 100km (60miles), we had to make a piggyback;/ it's not so complicated when it's dry outside..the problem starts when it rains or snows :D you have to drive without stopping even for a second directly and precisely a few centimeters against the cabin of the truck under you..sometimes it was better to tuck a cabin than stop at some point

The only thing I saw happen that I thought was potentially dangerous was standing between the truck and trailer that were disconnected. This is when the 2nd truck and trailer are on the first trailer before the truck was tied down. When the men are picking up the lighting and brake connections. If the brakes failed or the truck moved back words for some other reason the man standing in between the truck and trailer would have been crushed. I do not think I would stand in that spot until the truck was tied down to the trailer. Interesting video thank you for making and sharing this video.

lol , thats mister Jan De Rooy himself laying under trucks with a measuring take wearing a suit and tie telling his mechanics where to cut and where to weld , Jan has been a driver all of his live , he thinks those trucks and trailers up in his mind because he knows how to use it , sometimes he fails ,but mostly it works beatifully . he builds his unit with certain trucks that come from the factory in mind , ussualy like on the iveco it carries 3 short chassis trucks or 2 short , one long or even something else , it is all purpose build , he once build a truck , to be able to transport 2 long chassis trucks he cut the cab off of the transporter and mounted a crane cab in front of the chassis . it worked for a little while but the design was unstable ,made the drivers seasick because it swayed like a ship and only short drivers could drive it , good plan , but failed , i drove a volvo car transporter myself at De Rooy , but , it had a tarp box over it , so on the way to italy i could cary 7 volvo cars , on the way back i could lover the flat smooth car decks and load wasching machines and such in italy for england , france , germany and the netherlands , everything at De Rooy is build for a purpose and fulfiles that role well.

Se vé q la compania quiere achicar gastos
Si no quieren pagar gasoil que se pongan un almacen
La patronal es la misma mierda aca , alla y en todos lados .
El dia que los trabajadores se unan .... todo esto se dará vuelta ...

2 men standing for one hour not earning two trucks standing not earning I wonder how much it actually saves them in fuel to piggyback and if its really worth it they will both have gone out there way too. to get to meet and there would be a couple of hours there too and the fuel getting there mmm I wonder

judging by them driving in the left hand side they are in england , if they was on their way back to the base in Son then it would save then atleast 600 kilometers in fuel due to one truck not running and the waking wages of one driver since the other one is supposed to be resting , so yea , would do you think , is this worth it ??? on a fleat of 1400 trucks ??? erhmmm duh yea it is

wouldnt be surprised if it had a DAF engine in it and a MAN trans . The man Jan de Rooy does that , he once had a polak driver hired , gave him a brand new MAN truck , the pole was on the road for half a year straight before the truck came back to base in Son , guess what , the damn thing had a Tatra engine in it ,lol , Jan didnt mind that his engine was stolen , he thought it cool that it kept running and left the engine in it , that man swaps engines , tranmissions or gearboxes more often and quicker then he changes his underpants . entschuldige das dies nicht in deutsch war !
