excellent way of loading the containers with scrap. have seen this done with soy bean meal but the container was lined inside with plastic and they would close the left door and blow it in the open right door till full then just close the door.
The open top theory is good but quite often scrap is loaded in to old containers because when they arrive at the destination the container gets scrapped as well. open tops are rarer and more expensive to replace.
I understand why you would use a standard TEU container so the place its going doesnt need any specialist equipment to remove the contents but I dont understand why you need such a speicalist trailer to tip up a container when a standard crane would do the job just as well.
These are standard shipping containers, the doors are on the end. You could certainly get special open top containers, but they aren't accepted on container ships.
This is cool, it would NEVER work in the US though. Ask a truck driver to climb that high to hook up the cables ( without fall protection!), and stick your head under the load! Lawyers would have a field day! It's a shame too because this country used to be so productive.
20ft containers on a 40 ft triaxle combo chassis get empty weight and load to gross. 47000 lbs of whatever she'll ride just fine. Don't forget the zip ties.
True but Open tops are rare at the depots. So since they are loading scrap. Any old crap box will do with this. Still not convinced this is a practical setup for the states. But it's an interesting solution to a problem.
Good solution, but just really terrible safety procedures. e.g. No PPE!!, eg driver not wearing safety shoes, no high viz vests, helmet, gloves, eye protection etc,etc ,etc!! No working at heights safety system or a system where working at heights is not needed. No WHEEL CHOCKS in case the truck shifts, and while the idiot puts his head under the trailer! Tractor head is parked on a slope and not on level ground. I am sure there are many more.
How they close door? Who cares, probably got lifted by some loader. Look at 3rd wheel axle this truck is overloaded obviously. Especially when they load container back on track, 3rd wheel axle get serious dmg
Would this not be faster with an open top and walking floor? I'm not sure why the driver put his head under 60k pounds but I guess if your dense...your dense.
this process need to handle more safely, the driver puts his head under the container, they get on to hook it without protection

How do you close the doors of the container before loading it on the truck??
plus modern bon materielle bon travaille mercie
How do you close the doors on the container when it's upright?
the crane closes the door, the driver climbs up and locks the handles

I didn't see how they closed the doors in it's vertical position
How can he close the door of the container ?

Slimme methode.
At minute 4:50 notice he puts his head under the container bad move.

Looks impressive until the driver sticks his head under the suspended load. hhhhmmmmm
Did not show how the door's were closed ???
Is that not D - Dortmund?
im getting confused now... the loaded container was a "white star zim container" not a "gold star zim container" :p
did he just put his head under the chassis
Unreal huh? Chop the guy in half if the ram failed.
See from 4:50. The driver puts his arm and neck into a "giljotin". No security thinking !!!!!
Totally agree. Nor is climbing up the underside of the trailer.
Calculate the risk of that cylinder breaking in this position and compare that risk to the risk of climbing your every day household-ladder at home...
Don’t need to, but by all means, continue with what you’re doing. It's your neck.

how did they close the door of the container
the. guy with the yellow machine pull the one door and then the other and someone climb up there,. and close it,
thanks man i was really confused how on earth they will close it
How to close the doors in a safe manner??? And no safety harnas when climbing??
Amazing machines. good.
Thank you from Japan.
is the truck running that ?
Looks a little sketchy to me, and I'm not sure how you close the container doors again with it in an upright position?
Absolutely. Looks very sketchy
VCA, SCC, SHE or simply Safety!
Must be an easier way to fill this...... Top fill perhaps

A real field day for "Health & Safety". Why not just fill the containers from above, saving all this hassle and empty by tilting on their side
These are standard shipping containers, the doors are on the end. You could certainly get special open top containers, but they aren't accepted on container ships.
The driver must've climbed way up there to hook the winch cables, not very safe. If that container falls side ways it tear up the loading frame.
i wonder if the crane accidentally hit the container
It make the container damaged heavily. I dont like this loading.

an upright 53' container is a scary thing to be near with
20ft containers on a 40 ft triaxle combo chassis get empty weight and load to gross. 47000 lbs of whatever she'll ride just fine. Don't forget the zip ties.
Containers dead and chasis dead. Can not be used many times and will be at repair two-three times later.
And a open top would of had that box loaded with out leaving it.

If only the top opened too...

Good way to Load Scrap 👍
I don't think so
zo kan het ook

Heath and Safety ?????????
Heh!
Could you do it in slowmotion`?
Far to slow better off with open tops 🤐
Das ist doch Tödlich für die Luftbälge.

Have to admit....very cool...
this is a HUGE no for me. i love my CDL , but there is some things i refuse to do.
Maybe Ocea went outta business....
Good idea
Amazing :)
Would this not be faster with an open top and walking floor? I'm not sure why the driver put his head under 60k pounds but I guess if your dense...your dense.
no, because you can't use open top containers, the client demands that the scrap is loaded in to 20 ft containers, so it can be shipped on a ship.
sps38super
+sps38super Penny pinching arseholes.
has nothing to do with penny pinching, this is only more expensive for the client, than using an open top.
cool
Hadie
Nice system
Bad idea
chul chess Fuck you! Its technic!
STUPID......the 360 excavator could lift empty container upright......VERY DANGEROUS system.
Thats a sh*t system, better off with an opentop box with sheeted lid.
vakwerk mannen klasse
CRTか(´ー∀ー`)
Unusual, Engineer the Trucks rather than Engineer the Containers.
too danger!!!
