This game had so much replay potential. Since the game came out, I've put in 50 hours and finished it 7 times. My first playthrough took like 18 hours because I tried pretty much everything out. My fastest run so far had been on assisted with like 2h30mins.
I finished it 8 times (6 on assisted/standard for learning the game, routing, boosting weapons, bobbleheads, armor ashley etc., once on hardcore to unlock chicken head, S+ professional for cat ears) and then there was a steam cloud sync error that I tried to fix, wiped all my progress. I had just gotten cat ears too earlier that day. 150 hours down the tube.
I have it back to the same status as before now in way less time but christ. That sucked. If anyone is playing on steam, don't bother fixing cloud sync issues, you can't.
The only hard thing I didn't do was Pro S+ because it's too hard for me without autosaves, but yeah it has awesome replay potential, and this compliment is coming from someone who doesn't like to play the same story over and over again
I finished it 10 times and the fastest was 3 hours I think. Such a solid remake I got everything maxed out, all bonus weapons, all challenges. I'm just waiting for the DLC like separate ways, etc as Mercanaries isn't really my thing other than playing it once and trying for a decent score.
My first run was almost 25 hours
@@SetariM damn that blows. I’m pretty sure my steam has had a cloud sync issue for a long time now, but I’ve been terrified to touch it for that same reason. Doesn’t look like I will any time soon lol
It’s so nice watching the speedrun developments with the remake. I wasn’t old enough to experience the strats people found in the original, but with this one I feel like I’m living through speedrunning history.
Fuck the regenerating health, gotta save the dog, c’mon bud, c’mon
As someone who'd never played the original and recently 100%'ed the remake, I didn't even know there was a dog that you could save LMFAO, I guess I never went through the back door to where he is, I always used the front door
I literally can’t stop drinking content on this game. Thanks for making it

The amount of thought that goes into these sppedruns is insane. Respect.
I love the idea of Mendez hiding behind the wall waiting for Leon, and Leon just skips him.
i need to fart really bad
Hell yeah dude
you're so real for this

23 hrs first play through and loved every minute of it, I like to explore and get lost on the map too lol
Exactly the same. Everyone kept saying at the 10-hour game and I was sitting there halfway through it at the 10-hour mark because I had to soak it all in.
bruh i beat atomic heart in less time than that,23 hours? what was you doing? just staring at walls?? did you miss the run button tutorial?
23 hours? No way bro. On professional or something? You had to keep dying to make that time
23 hours? Did you just forget to pause when you left your console/PC?
@@SirDubbs Nah, just really love the game and know the original like the back of my hand.
From all the content about speed runs, it’s really nice to get your own runs on here. Great stuff
Damn bro I just finished a pro run at 4:29 last weekend. This is some good stuff here
YEESH! The speedrun for this game looks hellish in comparison, I still need to beat it normally, but I keep going back to RE4 OG instead. Also that glitch where you carry Ashley around after breaking your animations is hilarious, I've never seen that before
You lost me at "I didn't save the dog"
Same
that adds HP to the giant fight afterwards
@@slushy7 and? you save the dog or Mr.wick find you
Finally platinumed the game because I was watching your shooting range last night. So epic.
12:24 damn waifu just got a single mother in his area to pounce on him
The contrast between calm voiceover waifu and tilted speedrunning waifu is brilliant
Damn. Best I'm able to pull off is just above 4 hours. Excellent video.
I love how happy you are with this game. I really am.
I just don't have the speedrunning blood in me. I'm just too addicted to looting and running past all these treasures, side quests, and crates would take every fiber of my being. I'm doing my assisted run with the infinite rocket launcher and I'm still on pace to beat it in around 5 hours.
I'm pretty certain I've seen play as Ada, Luis, Ashley, Hunk, Lady Hunk, and Wesker mods all before, maybe more. I've only tried a few of them out for myself but they seem to work pretty good. Love your stuff btw, learning the double door skips and other skips from you helped a lot getting my first s+ runs!
How exactly do you guys (speedrunners) develop the stamina and tenacity to go at these speedruns all in one sitting? It's pretty impressive watching you do 1 run and then dive straight into another.
I assume it has a lot to do with the pats on the back from all the fans. When you have a lot of people cheering you on that actually like to watch you play then it’s a lot easier to play constantly.
It becomes their job.
It's their job. And it can pay off.
@dope my guy. they raised a lot of money for charitys doing this as a career and did more good to society than whatever ur doing freshly make the acc then hating.

I found a a good tip while heading to the church when ur in the village and the tower falls off if you reload in the right time you won't get stuned or stop which would save you a good time and same with Ashley level when the deer head falls off you can tap on the flash making you keep moving without stopping
first of all love your videos waifu ❤ your videos are the reson why i started speedruning resident evil 4 and the remake, my best time is 01:56:14, in the remake on the latest steam version coud you give ma a link or a forum where i can see how to downpatch? i wanna learn the current tricks like doorclip and more do get better, and ty for your awsome conten : PS: im Goldenfox from your twitch chad ❤
I would join the speedrun discord for the game. They are usually linked on the speedrun.com page for that game. That’s where you usually can find that kind of information
Can't wait to see how we can use the adaptive difficulty system to our advantage in future runs
Been watching you forever appreciate the dedication and tips
As someone who's been playing RE games since I got RE2 on my N64 (I know, of all consoles, right?) I've been a very big fan of the series and I've played all of the mainline games multiple times and most of the side games. I've never really cared about getting the S+ in the remakes but something was a bit different about RE4 and I did finally get it yesterday on Professional and I was pretty happy lol.
I've never really cared about running games fast but I just liked this game so much I wanted to try to go for it for once.
Just got my S+ on PRO and I actually have to say it’s the most difficult resident evil on PRO hands down
hell nah only s+ is hard. Normal playthrough on pro is really easy. Vos in village and inferno in re3 are wayyyyyyyyy harder
Resident evil 6 on no hope coop was so god damn hard, but very fun with a friend. There were so many parts where we had no heals and were one shot during on rails sections like the last elevator on chris’ campaign
I personally disagree. The only thing that was real hard about professional was S+ even then I got it done under 4 hours and was fine. As long as you grab treasures while on your route you'll be fine. I could have bought 2 full rpgs in my professional run and I only used one on saddler. Re 7 and 8 gave me way more trouble but to be fair I was new to RE before I played those.
Ok but that Ashley drag is fucking amazing. The way it looks lmfao
amazing content love your stuff mate nice work
didn't save dog, speedrun invalidated
I finished my Pro run yesterday at 15 hours. Almost there :D
I finished my first pro 2 days ago in 4 hours 😊

I'm glad it's not just me, a pleb tier gamer who had trouble with the island. It was absolutely miserable on my first playthrough on Hardcore. Felt like I'd been trolled by the Devs into picking that difficulty for my first playthrough.
I did the same. Didn’t have much trouble on the island but my god dude that Ramon fight was absolutely brutal for me.
Bro please upload more, I been re watching your videos and I’m lost without a new one :(
Everyday I thank Dante for introducing me to you
Save the dog
You can hit the bell in the church with a sniper rifle in the village fight to save you big time, the villagers will just go into the insignia building and end the fight as early as you can hit the bell.
You can only do it on NG+
For the catapults, there are red explosive barrels next to each one, you can get an angle on 3 of them to shoot with pistol or rifle and the other blow up with the cannon, I’ve flown through it a few times super fast just shooting the barrels
Congrats dude
I love your analysis videos!!
"Falcon Punch"
*Leon hits a kick*
i just got home from a rave and when you said the glory las plagas rave room I fucking lost my mind lmfao
MANS PULLED A SPIN MOVE ON THE JETSKI????
Trying my first s+ run I feel Waifu's pain. Love the game, but I've realized just how much enemies have bs tracking, hitboxes, aim, & staggering.
Probably to compensate for Leon's improved mobility. I did notice it a bit in my initial runs with some deaths that felt completely out of my control but esp now when every second and every hit counts.
Enemies can literally throw hatchets and axes that hone on you and can divert mid air to your position. And they're so much more aggressive you'll find they spam the most annoying moves off screen.
So enemy grabs will get you even if it's just their finger tip that touches you with no way to see or avoid it even if it looks like you did. And their swings can teleport them slightly closer to you than their actual position.
This in conjunction with the significantly increased stagger effects on Leon and no invincibility frames can basically allow the game to cheat and kill or hurt you with no way for you to control it outside of luck (or heal while staggered).
Knowing enemy position and attacks even ahead of time won't do anything as this is just up to RNG and sometimes they'll defy physics or logic if the game thinks you're playing too well.
The original had way less, if any, of this; and probably what lead to speed runners basically breaking the game. It's kind of like the tricks dark souls pulls (and to an absurd degree in ER) but without a dedicated dodge button.
Like I said it's not really as bad on a initial run, esp on standard, but doing challenges the game has built in (these aren't self imposed limit runs) and this happening can be controller shatteringly unfair and annoying when the game seems to be screwing you over.
It's still an excellent game but I kind of hate this has become the go to way to make difficulty in modern gaming. Giving the NPCs reality breaking powers instead of consistency.
yeah, the lack of s makes the cabin fight and village fight a pain in the ass in particular on S+ pro and not being able to parry unless its perfect sucks too idk why the parry icon is in the corner, so you essentially have to look at the health bar and small knife icon over looking at the actual enemy atleast until you get the parry windows down.
@@cranion982 Very much agreed. It's not so bad in other parts but whenever you're locked in a small space (like the mentioned ones or the chainsaw sisters fight) it's incredibly annoying to constantly get staggered or grabbed by offscreen enemies and then surrounded with no way to respond.
It's especially true due to the increased enemy aggression on higher difficulties. They'll spam these actions and you are just stuck to rng half the time.
Also had the issue with the Mendez fight, the fire even grazing you causes Leon to stagger and he attacks so quickly you can just get caught in a loop and die.
Can't wait to see u comment about what happend in the tourne
Also my strat for lago has been working great even though I'm not the best with the harpoons. I hold forward and also steer harshly in the direction he goes and I rarely have to dodge trees and can spam close proximity. Typically one cycle on lowest difficulties.
I hold right till the first charge and then I hold left until the second and on the rare occasion that I have to 3rd phase I panic and hope for the best lmao.
when you load the checkpoint from the pause menu or from the "you are dead" screen the game counts the time you lost, but if you exit to the main menu and load from there the in-game timer resets
Hey Waifu. Are you gonna challenge Dante Ravioli to a speedrun race on this game like the OG? That would be fun to watch.
This is crazy, my best time is 3 hours on professional with the infinite rocket launcher.
I dont know how else to cut off time, other than not repairing my body armor after i inevitably blow myself up😅
These skips out of bounds are crazy cool to see.
I always wonder how people find these things.
you didn't save the dog, you monster.
i love you man, but i think its finally time to go outside. (all jokes crazy run!!!)
I may be remembering this wrong but you can Pause during a Grenade explosion and it does 2x the Damage
Damn under 2 hours, I think the closest I ever got to that was a standard new game run that was around 3 hours
Well doing the skips allows you to save so much time especially the crane part that's like 20 minutes itself.
4:17 Replace the footage with Regenerator.
I watched dist do pro no merchant and it makes regular pro look so easy to someone who has never even played an RE game lol
we need the existing playable ada mods to have Ai generated voice lines for leon I honestly don't know if that is possible but It would be cool nonetheless and maybe some other playable characters like Jill valentine it wouldn't make sense but yknow variety is the spice of life
love all the re4 content
9:59 did this yesterday nice to know I some how managed glitch without realizing
Personally I hate that the game only rewards speed. RE4 original and remake are both games I like to be thorough, get all the treasure and upgrades I can, and really dig into the content. Yet if I wanna unlock cool stuff I have to go out of my way to hard speedrun and just skip most of the stuff. Always felt like a better system for unlocks would've been better.
i mean 5 and a half hours is free, you dont have to learn speedrun anything to do that, even the slowest glitchles speedruns are like 4 hours long. just play the game more than once and you will go fast enough to get all the rewards though.
You can one hit the turret for Mike with a heavy nade if you go around behind that building.
...I'm now expecting the separate ways dlc pack to now add this trophy. Yay...
I was at delago when my mf monitor gave in. This pro run is taking a min lmao
So glad they removed the sniper clip through glitch 😁
I just got pro s+ the other day on ps5 , it was by far the most difficult thing I’ve ever done
We didn't ask+vos in Village is harder+inferno r3 is harder+ratio+L
@@samysgamingzone7219 lame
Congrats on Sub 2
Insane run
Time to join the suffering of professional speedrunning 😁
Great video with nice explanations. 👌🏻
5:07 this part i learned you actually dont need a sniper just look left while interacting and youll just clip through like normal
Waifu calls Bullhead Udders AWESOME!
Emo Ashley is my favorite thing ever lmao
Just got S+ on hardcore. Hope the chicken hat is worth it on pro
I would say the tail might be better when you do the first Krauser encounter just for that extra damage for the mandatory knife fight.
Cant believe there were people who used real money just to get S+😭
My S+ professional time is 2:31. Seeing it go even lower is insane.
We didn't ask
Always look forward to these videos, keep up the superb work!
It seems that there's a lot of RNG in this game which is certainly gonna make speedruns interesting.
I swore revelations 2 gave you a reward for beating the game under 4 hours
I got cucked by that novi in the end too. I thought i was home free, finishing another pro run, and the homie bitchslapped me to death 😂
Apparently using a flash grenade on el gigante when he is down instantly kills the Plaga
For the fish if you hit the worm spots it kills it faster
Tip if you loose click quit then from the main menu press load game it will save you time
Resident Evil 4 remake is amazing
Lol in the begging you missed ya chance for falcon kick . That’s a thing 🤣
So, I've been speed running this game for my own leisure and I thought the strat for being hit through the lasers that trigger the gun was ok with being hit by anyone as long as you're literally pixels from being in it. I've run it roughly five or six times with no fail.
I run ng+ glitchless and my fastest was on professional (because I'd learned it by that point.) I'm trying a ng run now.
Great content as always!
How do you do your video, you make Voiceover first and then create visuals? or Do you create whole video and then do voiceover in real time?
"If the bloom doesnt cuck you"💀💀
The game been out for less than a month and people are already having world records
RIP sniper skip 2023-2023. At least Capcom gave us a month with it
Saw someone say he needs to fart really bad and I kinda wanna smell it ngl
The goat
I can't help but notice that a lot of glitch skips involves being literally the worst bodyguard in the universe :)
Im sure this aint new, but on the catapults, i threw a grenade on both that stand to the left and right of the gate. The rate of fire is lowered and it stopped being so annoying.
I know I'm a year late but I wanted to share my experience with Del Lago, when I had the fully upgraded sg09r with the critical hit exclusive i was able to beat the boss in under a minute maybe less on professional, I was confused how it was possible it happens but i think the boss can take critical damage either that or the deer antler or wolf tail accessories helped somewhat 🤔
If they charge at you with their hands up you can crouch and you won't get grabbed.
Do a NG+ run where everything goes, maxed out canon, maxed out chica.. maybe even endless rpg or cat ears and use whatever weapons you want... im sure its then doable in 1:30h or probably even lower, the bosses are a joke with endless rpg.
Hunk run with a minor mod to make lady hunk "canon"
Would love to see Hunk snap a Garrador’s neck.
i wanna know how would you do it now that the sniper skip was patched xD
Rewards for completing the games has been a staple since the first Resident Evil, not RE2 Remake.
Solid video though.
it may be because my pc is a bit old or i may be doing something wrong, but i can't hit the double door skips for the life of me.
RIP the sniper skip
so bad news. today's patch patched out the sniper door skips. So they can't be done anymore. Probably patched out a few other skips as well using the sniper. I knew it was only a matter of time.
