  • Video showing my oil change procedure. I'm not a professional by no means, but this task is not difficult. 5 quarts with the filter change. 4.5 quarts without the filter change. Thanks for watching!!

    I just bought a used 2022 Vaquero that didn't come with an Owner's Manual, and I couldn't find the two drain plugs. Your video was very helpful pointing out their location. Thank you.

    Keep some old cardboard around to put under pan so you don't spill oil on driveway or garage floor

      I also put a small piece of 2x4 under the kick stand to keep it level and don't over tighten the filter, lol

    Good video, thanks for posting it.
    I see this all to often over tightening the oil filter pause the video at 8:14 and look at the seal, it is smashing it’s way out and at risk of being blown out by the oil pressure.
    When installing any spin on filter, lube the seal with a little oil new or old doesn't matter spin the filter on hand tight plus a quarter turn. The filter will not back off.
    Hope this helps, beat me up if you like.

      I appreciate the comment. I do lube the seal with oil, it was done off camera. I also just check the seal and it doesn't appear to be smashed. May have been the camera angle. Thanks for watching and the concern👍🏿. We are all adults, we can agree to disagree no beating up.

      @@TD205 i'm sorry I did not mean it that way, I did not say that you didn't lube the seal, just poped into my head as I was typing it.
      Have a great Sunday.

    Try Amsoil, I recently sold my 03 Vulcan I bought new. Since the 1st oil change I only used Amsoil. Best stuff ever.

    I see you use synthetic in a K and annual filter that’s cool but I just stick with conventional. I’ve used 1040 but now I’m going to use 2050 and I used Kawasaki oil in a Kawasaki oil filter.

    • @TD205
      @TD205  10 місяців тому

      Yes, the synthetic seems to last longer. Thanks for watching👍🏿.

    TD - do you check level with dipstick while bike is upright or on kickstand? Is there a sight glass as well? What change interval does the manual call for?

    • @TD205
      @TD205  Рік тому +2

      I check mines upright. There is no glass window on my year. I change mines every 4K miles, just a peace of mind. I think manual may state's longer. If it turns black, I'm changing it😄.
