Alberto and Sheila speaking spanish for ten seconds straight is the best thing I've seen all day
Sara Madsen hell yes
Ikr it made me happy
Bueeeeeee
Why lmao
Fue lo mejor de la vida :')
I think Luis did better than Luis
Same here
Nah dude luis did way better than luis dunno what ur talking about
I donno Luis may know more Spanish, but Luis has more heart
I am not sure I think Luis is better tho
Ok but, Luis did really tho
And this is why digital translators won’t replace professional interpreters anytime soon though they keep trying.
professional interpreters wouldn't do any better under these circumstances. from one language to another, five times, with no context or quality control? no chance.
@@sirmoonslosthismind they would. They know how to translate, most isn't literally translated if a person does it. So yes it would make a difference. I do agree that without context it would be a little scrambled , but still better than a machine.
True. Of course, digital translators are still helpful. Not only for people who can't afford professional interpreters (since those are usually used for celebrities, politicians, and other important people due to their rarity), but for intermediate (medium-level) translators like me. If I forget what a word or phrase is in English, I can rely on Google. Not necessarily Google Translate, but the results on Google. Most of the translating, I do on my own. Google just helps me with certain words that we normally wouldn't use on a day-to-day basis. I do sometimes just use Google Translate then fix any grammatical mistakes if my brain can't make out how to word majority of the sentence/paragraph. I still double check with the original tho. I would not be good for live interpretation, lol.
I am Hispanic and I know spanish and when Sheila and Alberto went off it was like my family reunion

Sí = yes.
Si = if.
Acentos, gente, son importantes.

I really liked watching Alberto and Sheila together, also I was shook when Alberto started speaking Spanish
Hola yo hablo español
Hi i am talk spanish
I like how FBE clearly explains that the phrases are translated to several other languages before getting translated to Spanish, even telling them throughout the video how many languages it passed through, and yet there are still people in the comments like “wTf I PuT tHaT iNtO GoOglE TRaNsLaTe aNd diDn’t GeT tHat” 🤦🏻♀️
The phrase “¡Si no antes!” literally translated means “if not before” instead of “yes no before” the thing here is that when you say “yes” in spanish you need to write an accent in the “i” so it ends up being “sí”, when you write it without que accent it means “if” (sorry for bad english)
I came in here just to make sure someone pointed it out
@@aflore1552 same
¡Exactly! Pero recuerda que acento y tilde no son lo mismo
René André my Spanish teacher gave us like a 30 minute lecture on my we need to use accents after someone wrote a whole thing without accents
If you want to learn Spanish DO NOT USE GOOGLE TRANSLATE
Well you don't use google translate to learn any language at all actually .-.
Jaja, tienes razón, todo en el video estaba incorrecto y de formas muy absurdas. ¡Te lo dice un mexicano!
Haha, you are right, everything in the video was wrong and in very absurd ways. A mexican is telling you this!
You should never use it to learn another language, my mother language is Spanish and most of the time I was like "dude... the hell is that?" Specially with "if not before" that made me feel like I don't know my own language :'v
Bearserk to be fair, it was translated a few times
But google translate turned “come on be my baby come on” into ‘gradually watermelon’ after a bunch of translations and then back to ‘English’
@@intelligiblemadman it's cause it was translated a bunch of times into different languages like Japanese. Google translate sucks at Asian languages cause they use their own different writing systems and the word order is different. If it was English to just Spanish it would be a lot more accurate because word order in English and Spanish are somewhat similar. (They follow the same subject, verb, object format most times.) Most of the time I've translated things from Spanish it was mostly correct.
Dude, I love listening to Sheila speaking Spanish...
She made me feel familiar to her.
I'm mexican too, so it was quite relaxing.

Sheila and Alberto are like two latin Spanish people meeting in another country. Once they realize you speak the same language, it's like meeting and old friend.

Sheila is right, it’s not only about being able to speak two languages, I’m from Mexico and I’ve been studying English for 14 years. I was able to translate the quotes literally but I couldn’t get the exact quote (besides the third one) since I was not born in the USA and I don’t know them

Lulu Plays I was so confused when they said that😂
Im from USA and we also say “have a break, have a KitKat.” i have never heard the other one
USA here we say have a break have a kit kat look up the jingle it’s from the 90s
It does not say “yes not before” it says “if not before”. To mean “yes not before” it would have to say “sí no antes” the accent mark is important.
Ug Gam sea that’s what i was thinking
Actually is the other way around. SI means "yes not before", and SÍ means "if not before". Also the use of the "comma" and the intonation could modify the meaning both of them.
Alberto and sheila speaking spanish to each others is the best
I love how Alberto speaks both Spanish and English, and yet when Sheila translates a relatively simple phrase from one to the other the look upon his face is of someone who's sat next to someone else doing witchcraft.
(I love Sheila's accent. I mean, she's obviously a beautiful girl in general, but her accent is lovely.)

Have no idea how I got the kitkat one so fast considering I was saying the UK slogan which is “have a break, have a kitkat”
I know right?! I grew up with that one too!
We have that in America too
Quick Spanish grammar lesson ya'll. Accents make all the difference. In Spanish "Si" without an accent is not the same as "Sí" with the accent. When there is no accent, it means "if" and with the accent it means "yes". Therefore, that final phrase of "¡Si no antes!" did not say "Yes no before" it said, "If no before". Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.
I'm glad someone said it...
I feel proud that someone said it ✨
Tildes* acentos y tildes are not the same!
Yes, I’m glad you mentioned it. It can also mean “but, before”....... like in “no se hace después, si no antes “, context would be: you don’t add the seasoning 'after' grilling the meat, but 'before'.
It's called "tildes"

Sheila is my favorite person to watch in these videos because when something goes down she drops english for Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish, but I love seeing people drop their second language to get serious. It makes me giggle.
when alberto and sheila started speaking in spanish i was so fascinated!! There's something about people speaking their mother tongue that really excites me
And that is the reason, I am practicing Spanish on Duolingo anyways.
I love how happy & excited Alberto got after beating Sheila! Lololol
When sheila goes OFF in spanish its such a treat
ALBERTO SPEAKING SPANISH OMG I FALL IN LOVE EVERYTIME WITH HIM 😭😍
