Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the let's play! Here is the long list of Cao Cao's historical events that I will be trying to reenact in this historical campaign! 191 - Take the Dong Commandery (Historically from the Black Mountain Bandits/Southern Xiongnu but probably from Huang Shao in game) 192 Winter - Push into the Yan Province and start war with Tao Qian (Unlocks the Qingzhou units) 193 Spring - Attack Yuan Shu while remaining at war with Tao Qian 194 Spring - Push Tao Qian to Donghai while razing the Xu Province 194 - Chen Gong's Betrayal (Impossible to generate Lu Bu's faction in the 190 start but we will try something) 195 - Defeats Lu Bu and reclaims the Yan Province 195 Harvest - The Emperor escapes (Once again will be hard to recreate this event in the 190 start but we will try) 195 Winter - Secures the Emperor 196 Spring - Destroys He Yi in Runan 197 Spring - Attacks Zhang Xiu (Liu Biao's vassal so we will just attack Liu Biao for a quick war) in Nanyang 197 Fall - Chases Yuan Shu to Shouchun (Probably have to conquer Shouchun ourselves and then gift it to him) 198 Summer - Proxy kill Li Jue (Maybe through espionage assassination or by force) 198 Fall - Attacks Lu Bu (Liu Bei as proxy if he takes over for Tao Qian) 199 Summer - Take control of Henei and kill Zhang Yang (Historically a coup or civil war) 199 Fall - Zhang Xiu surrenders (We will just take Nanyang for this) 199 Winter - Encamps at Guandu and war is declared with Yuan Shao (Defensive posture on the south bank) 200 Spring - Pushes Liu Bei out of Xu Province (Keep him alive until he absorbs Liu Biao) 200 Fall - Defeats Yuan Shao at Guandu (Win the balance of power and get a favorable peace deal) 202 Summer - Yuan Shao dies of natural causes (Maybe an assassination) 204 Spring - Cao Cao takes Ye from Yuan Shang 205 Spring - Yuan Xi and Yuan Shang flees north 205 Summer - Zhang Yan surrenders (We will either vassalize him or destroy him) 206 - Takes the Bing Province from Gao Gan (Take Hedong as proxy) 207 Fall - Unites the north except Gongsun Du's clan (Only keep Gongsun Du alive in the north) 208 Summer - Attacks Liu Biao/Liu Bei 208 Winter - Loses at Chibi (We will declare war against Sun Quan/Lady Wu but not advance south) 209 - Loses Nan (We will gift the land to Wu to keep our achievement alive) and wins at Hefei 211 - Xiahou Yuan pushes for Hanzhong and sparks war with Ma Chao 212 - Attacks Sun Quan (But takes no land in the south) 212 Summer - Declares ourself as the Duke of Wei (We will hold off on advancing to Duke before this point) 215 Spring - Attacks Hanzhong (Zhang Lu surrenders) 216 Spring - Declare ourself as the King of Wei (We will have to skip this for the achievement after Cao Cao dies of natural causes and Cao Pi will do this) 217 Spring - Attacks Sun Quan again (And still take no land in the south) 218 - Xiahou Yuan is killed and Hanzhong is lost to Liu Bei (We will gift Liu Bei the land assuming he made it into Shu) 219 - Guan Yu attacks Jing (Just war declaration against Liu Bei as we will split the Jing Province with Sun Quan) 220 - Cao Cao dies of natural causes in Luoyang (Cao Cao will just wait idly in Luoyang after this point until his death) Then after Cao Cao's death, we will turn up the aggression, usurp the Han, and wipe out the two other Kingdoms in a normal endgame!

Your attention to detail and passion for this time period sets you apart from other UA-camrs. I think this is still to this date my favourite game, just started coming back to it recently and then see you have released a new series…good timing!
After recently playing total war Troy and watching your Pharoah playthrough it made me realize how unique three kingdoms was compared to the others. Troy and Pharoah are apparently still running off the Attila engine but in three kingdoms, since there's such a heavy focus on the generals themselves they couldn't copy and paste everything. It does unfortunately have its problems but it's still really stands out compared to the other total war games. Hopefully CA picks up three kingdoms again
It was honestly the most unique aproach to TW ever. And as always, the stupid "fans" just blabber some random BS they hear from some random youtubers to say this game is bad.. there is nothing more immature than the TW community. In the end, even if you do a perfect TW M3 people would have something to complain about because they are all so stuck in their Child memories of the "good ol days".. delusional. Sorry about the little rant hahaha.. but its such a shame how early this game was dropped from CA. And to this day I dont understand why.
When I first played Rome tw as a kid, it was a few years after playing the dynasty warriors 3 demo in toys r us(my mom even drove me there a few more times to replay the demo). 2 years later I saw a buddy of mine had dynasty warriors 2 and we played it for years, lol at least I did. Heck, it's why I got a ps2. At any rate, once I played Rome tw(again, at a friend's house), I eagerly waited for ~13 years in hopes of them making a Romance of the Three Kingdoms game. When it was announced, I built a PC for it. Been enjoying it and PC gaming ever since. Hopefully they don't pull the cord early on the next one too/they even make another
@@Wolf-zs9vc well ST explained it pretty well. It wasn't the fans, since CA aimed mainly at the Asian Market with 3K. Unfortunately DLC's didn't go well, since there is another mentality when it comes to such major titles like 3K. Basically CA f'd up because they didn't check the market properly.
@@chrischros8790 It's crazy that if you look at the player count for TW three kingdoms at launch it was over 100k. TW Pharoah only had 5k, they did something right three kingdoms
It's good to see you back at Three Kingdoms, Trivia. I also appreciate that you still do your lore expositions after such a long time, and of Cao Cao no less. Here's for a good campaign under Heaven :)
Ha! I wanted a Cao Cao campaign for so long and it’s great you’re doing a historical campaign. But I’m surprised by how little mods you’re having this run. Can’t wait for another great series!
There was a couple of mods I used back in the day that added all historical and some characters from the novel while adding every historical event as a choice for the player. You might wanna take a look for future historical playthrough coz I remember they were in Chinese and I struggled to put them properly with my low skill in the language.
Yuan Huan is an interesting guy - he ultimately works for Cao Cao but first works for Liu Bei, who first nominates him for government post after taking over after Tao Qian (I believe he is a Pengcheng, Xuzhou native). This is much like Chen Qun, later a regent for Cao Rui much down the line as we know. Huan's father is quite famous as can be discerned from a historical quote from Chen Deng, who acknowledges the pair of them as people he admires.
This is great - I haven't played Cao Cao for over two years and was actually hesitant to jump into a new campaign because I wasn't confident I could maximize the potential of his schemes mechanic. Guess I'll be learning from experience as you play!
I so prefer the mustering/replenishment model to the local/global recruitment method of other TW games. I try other TW games, but always come back to 3k because I like the systems so much more.
Dude I love ur videos so much not just the let’s plays but the lore videos are awesome. This game has thrown me deep down the 3K rabbit hole and your semi historical campaigns are a great way to get surface level knowledge while also enjoying some good gameplay
Hi Serious. I watch a LOT of your let's play content. However, I notice that you have played cao cao 190 multiple times, but never cao cao 194. I always found 194 easier as a historical start because the lu bu betrayal can be seen. I'd love to see a 194 cao cao campaign. I esp have trouble reenacting the death of cao ang and dian wei, and to get shu and wu to ally. Similarly I long to see you play liu bei fates divided because you could then desperately try to make chibi happen, which would be fun to see. Also, for the sake of historical reenactment, I use "The gathering" mod. This allows me to keep heroes in the factions that they were historically. It is also wayyy easier to distribute land, which I saw you try to do through diplomacy in your historical liu bei campaign. Just a few thoughts. Love your content and really look forward to the rest of this historical campaign!
love the ideas! one thing I do avoid is using the gathering mod since that often time just feels like cheating as I see this historical attempts as a challenge in itself of trying to get things as close as possible using just the tool of the game. I am okay with missing a few steps due to the game as that is where the fun is for me at least! At the end of the day, its a sandbox game and not designed to follow history!
@@SeriousTrivia Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Yeah i agree that even TUP feels like cheating and the gathering does too. To balance that, I usually mod the AI to be more difficult (like Expert AI). However, if for example you play a faction like Kong rong or even liu bei, the gathering actually works against you because you just summon xu huang and jia xu to cao cao while you give yourself nothing because your early strategists were really just mi zhu and sun qian. Anyway, not trying to argue haha. Just that it really helps me when I try to do a historical campaign. Keep up the good content man.
Finally its released! A historical Cao Cao campaign! Always a pleasure watching your 3K content. I have read the historical details and from what i know Cao Cao and his army arrived at Luoyang in August 196. Cao Cao convinced the emperor and the court of his loyalty and then moved them to Luyang which is super close to Xuchang, his capital. Then he forcefully moved them to Xuchang where he established the imperial capital in November 196, not in 195. Correct?
Ah When the sun rises in the west. I remember doing this one with Sun Jian. As soon as I had my economy going I could spawn full stack mercenary armies to defend locations where my armies would not reach in time.
THIS IS PROLLY THE BEST LETS PLAY SERIES, WELL SCRIPTED. WILL YOU DO A PACIFIST CAMPAING WHERE YOU AVOID TO FIGHT, WIN LAND BY BUYING LANDS? GONNA BE FUN AND BORING THE SAME TIMES LOL
It’s still romance mode…it’s historical in the events I am trying to recreate not game play. You can’t really get historical gameplay with total war (even records mode is not realistic)
You can use lu fan his origin was from cao cao faction and went to Ma teng's faction. It would be interesting to have eyes on him. In dynasty warriors there is the betrayal of Han sui who joined cao cao's forces. Nice scheme to try to do.
Many times I activate MTU with the All Factions and More Starting Factions Mod with the WDG. So many characters’ portrait or model doesn’t work well. The same can be said for Wu. If you tried TUP, which also asks you to also activate MTU, you are likely to get duplicates of unique generals.
I assume you mean the let's talk lore series. Check the community post for December schedule (they will be every Sat, Sun 9PM this month so it will be resuming tomorrow)
Historical objectives hard to achieve. Guan yu works for cao cao's old debt helped him to win getover some north land. Historical appointed administration like Mao jie for Nanyang.
It really is a shame that the placements aren't historical but if the ever release total war three kingdoms 2 i hope that there will be 2 maps, the one that we have now and a historical one to choose.
I found a mod that makes the faction events happen at the right time and stuff like that. When making historical content, would that be something you might consider or is that a bit to much?
my only issue with this would be the trom overhaul changes (not that they are bad but want this one to be more vanilla) also the TUP characters are actually a bit overboard for Cao Cao (like you start with Xiahou Zuo at age 24 for some reason and he is Xiahou Dun's grandson and Lady Xiahou who is Sima Shi's first wife starts at age 39 in the 190 start)
@@SeriousTrivia Yeah i kinda guessed that you would know more about these things then i do but just thought that i should let you know xD Thanks alot for hearing me out and good luck with the rest of the campaign (which i am enjoying very much)
im currently playing as cao cao and its turned into a crazy run. i legit want to quit because i have to fight so much lol. i became emperor and i was surprised that even MORE hell was unleashed. luckily most of my cities are upgraded enough to the point that i can fight off entire armies without a main stack being there.... this game took some time to learn but ive been playing it everyday now lol. im trying to figure out how the yellow turbans rebellion can just grow like a fire on dried leaves. ive been fighting them from the beginning of my run til now. and it sucks that the comp wont really fight them as hard as i have to....still fun though
Random thought, but do you see a TW:3K2? Personally I don't based on how CA is running but that's just me? Unless we got some insider knowledge in the chat that says otherwise, I don't see a 3K2 ever coming due to how expansive 3K had to be with the diplomacy mechanic.
The Three Kingdoms period is completely historical. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel is a historical fiction story built on the bases of the historical event. It was written more than a thousand years after the event by a novelist. The Records of the Three Kingdoms is a historical documentation of the events of the period that was written by a court scholar near the end of the historical period. It’s like WWII is a real event. Then someone wrote a best seller on a story that is probably 80% historical but embellished and added more details to craft a good story. The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is that best seller and is considered one of the four classics of Chinese literature so its reach is immense in China and East Asia (like the Odyssey to Western literature) but just because the novel is historical fiction does not mean the events are ahistorical. For example in this campaign, I am using the record version of the story (historical version) and recreating Cao Cao’s life in game to the best of my ability within the constrains of the game.
Hey Serious Trivia, Do you have any favorite actor who play Cao Cao in TV or Movie? I personally Prefer actor Zhang Fengyi from the Movie Red Cliff and Fun Fact: CA Model and Portrait there Cao Cao after Zhang Fengyi for the game.
As a fan of both Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Pre-Rome 2 Total War, Total War 3K makes me weep for what could have been. I think what lets game down is that fact that the "scale" of Total War has remained the same. Armies in the new games are usually smaller than in older titles because of single entity and small elite units that can only exist because of the HP system. I also loathe how utterly worthless low tier units are and how shit formations are. A bunch of barely peasants in a spear wall, like the Yari Ashigaru of Shogun 2, is a tactic as old as warfare itself and yet Ji Militia have no formations? Actually militia do not make since in total war at all given that it takes several months to raise units, they should be trained. Actually going back to scale 3k just does not capture the scale of China at all. The countryside of China should be TEEMING with forts big and small. True field battles where typically a rarity compared to the number of sieges that played out, as many ancient commanders of china preferred to turn field battles into sieges with hastily erected earthen forts, or the fortification of hills and such. The best example of this being from the Warring States period from which the Qin/Han emerged, the battle Changping between Zhao and Qin that went for literal years because Lian Po just built a bunch of forts on one side of a river. Can't do that in 3k. Each General in 3k should have like 10k troops at a minimum just saying. Ahhhhhhhhhh. Why must you taunt me so CA.
the troop numbers are heavily inflated by romance depending on the particular battle. Individual general troop count varied from a few hundred in the early period to roughly five thousand (under direct command) in the later periods. Of course you had big armies that were made of multiple generals that did number in the hundreds of thousands or even a million but most battles were not like that. Lastly, I want the game to be playable on modern pcs without burning my graphic card lol (total war is already one of the bigger scale games)
@@SeriousTrivia my issue with the troop counts isn't necessarily related to historical accuracy, mainly that they have done zero optimisation work over the course of the entire series to give us battles that are of a larger scale, which would just be damn cool. I would happily play total war games that looked like Empire if the potential scale was larger. I also would have really liked smaller scale battles with smaller units on smaller maps, like if in 3k your country rank affected unit size in some way, so early game everyone is running around with retinues in the 100s, or maybe after a certain amount of time passes, I dunno. It just feels lame that Mediaeval 2 can have bigger battles than modern games to me at least.
Try this. Find your save file folder and backup everything then delete everything except your current campaign save file. Overcrowded save folder can be a reason for the crashes
Thank you very much. I will try this and see what happens. I had been searching reddit and everywhere else but to no avail. Would love to see an updated Liu Chong campaign as well!@@SeriousTrivia
Historical events…not trying to be battle faithful or else we have to siege for multiple turns too, not use trebuchets, not have our spies assassinate etc. at the end of the day, I treat it as a game ;)
We played records mode before and it’s not like it’s that different. Arguably easier with how crossbows can shreds generals. The hardest part of fighting against the enemy is how to counter their generals. Units movement and behavior are so predictable in the game
no, not anywhere close. loyal ministers don't marginalize the emperor, make their own edicts, grant themselves princedoms and set up their own courts within the princedom that completely bypass the actual imperial court which was kept in Xuchang as a skeleton crew just for symbolic reasons. Cao Cao was an Emperor in reality but just not in name, so loyal minister is the farthest thing from Cao Cao historically.
@@SeriousTrivia Cao Cao was still in the palace killing Uncle Jian Shuo (eunuch), and very strictly guarding the palace gates. I think he is a loyal person. only the condition of the Han dynasty at that time had begun to decline.
@@SeriousTrivia hey mate! Thanks for replying, so I chose to follow the story, and the following turn yue Jin arrived :)!, amazing content my friend enjoying following your guides
You can kill liu Biao by having a family member as a spy and do the kill faction leader action, but then having a spy of cao cao kill liu biao might not be historical as well haha
You mention that this isn't much of a historical title due to the generals. If you were going for historical accuracy why do the campaign on romance mode? Records mode offers the historical experience that you claim the game is missing no?
Record mode is not any better. The historical inaccuracy isn’t about how much damage a general unit can do. Like if you look at how I play the battles, I usually don’t send my generals in to just solve all the problems. Additionally the AI romance generals are one of the few strength of the game. Once you turn them into just a cavalry unit on record, they are so useless. Record mode battles are so much easier to win because the AI no longer have powerful single entity generals.
Not every viewer is a seasoned player. I made this with minimal mods with the intention of showing some newer players how the game is played as this was made right after the Steam sale of the game.
Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is enjoying the let's play! Here is the long list of Cao Cao's historical events that I will be trying to reenact in this historical campaign!
191 - Take the Dong Commandery (Historically from the Black Mountain Bandits/Southern Xiongnu but probably from Huang Shao in game)
192 Winter - Push into the Yan Province and start war with Tao Qian (Unlocks the Qingzhou units)
193 Spring - Attack Yuan Shu while remaining at war with Tao Qian
194 Spring - Push Tao Qian to Donghai while razing the Xu Province
194 - Chen Gong's Betrayal (Impossible to generate Lu Bu's faction in the 190 start but we will try something)
195 - Defeats Lu Bu and reclaims the Yan Province
195 Harvest - The Emperor escapes (Once again will be hard to recreate this event in the 190 start but we will try)
195 Winter - Secures the Emperor
196 Spring - Destroys He Yi in Runan
197 Spring - Attacks Zhang Xiu (Liu Biao's vassal so we will just attack Liu Biao for a quick war) in Nanyang
197 Fall - Chases Yuan Shu to Shouchun (Probably have to conquer Shouchun ourselves and then gift it to him)
198 Summer - Proxy kill Li Jue (Maybe through espionage assassination or by force)
198 Fall - Attacks Lu Bu (Liu Bei as proxy if he takes over for Tao Qian)
199 Summer - Take control of Henei and kill Zhang Yang (Historically a coup or civil war)
199 Fall - Zhang Xiu surrenders (We will just take Nanyang for this)
199 Winter - Encamps at Guandu and war is declared with Yuan Shao (Defensive posture on the south bank)
200 Spring - Pushes Liu Bei out of Xu Province (Keep him alive until he absorbs Liu Biao)
200 Fall - Defeats Yuan Shao at Guandu (Win the balance of power and get a favorable peace deal)
202 Summer - Yuan Shao dies of natural causes (Maybe an assassination)
204 Spring - Cao Cao takes Ye from Yuan Shang
205 Spring - Yuan Xi and Yuan Shang flees north
205 Summer - Zhang Yan surrenders (We will either vassalize him or destroy him)
206 - Takes the Bing Province from Gao Gan (Take Hedong as proxy)
207 Fall - Unites the north except Gongsun Du's clan (Only keep Gongsun Du alive in the north)
208 Summer - Attacks Liu Biao/Liu Bei
208 Winter - Loses at Chibi (We will declare war against Sun Quan/Lady Wu but not advance south)
209 - Loses Nan (We will gift the land to Wu to keep our achievement alive) and wins at Hefei
211 - Xiahou Yuan pushes for Hanzhong and sparks war with Ma Chao
212 - Attacks Sun Quan (But takes no land in the south)
212 Summer - Declares ourself as the Duke of Wei (We will hold off on advancing to Duke before this point)
215 Spring - Attacks Hanzhong (Zhang Lu surrenders)
216 Spring - Declare ourself as the King of Wei (We will have to skip this for the achievement after Cao Cao dies of natural causes and Cao Pi will do this)
217 Spring - Attacks Sun Quan again (And still take no land in the south)
218 - Xiahou Yuan is killed and Hanzhong is lost to Liu Bei (We will gift Liu Bei the land assuming he made it into Shu)
219 - Guan Yu attacks Jing (Just war declaration against Liu Bei as we will split the Jing Province with Sun Quan)
220 - Cao Cao dies of natural causes in Luoyang (Cao Cao will just wait idly in Luoyang after this point until his death)
Then after Cao Cao's death, we will turn up the aggression, usurp the Han, and wipe out the two other Kingdoms in a normal endgame!

Yay! More 3K content, love it 🤩
Ahhhh my favorite content of yours.
I've waited so long for this
Nice , really looking forward to this series . Have also been enoying your sleeping dogs playthrough .
3K is such a good game. I’m excited to watch this - your play throughs hit different 🙏
Welcome back to 3K sir! Been following you for almost 2 years
honestly after watching the pharoahs and what not, ROTK resonates with me more still 🤣🤣🤣🤣
ngl, making other faction leaders maidenless is pretty funny
I was waiting for this for a long time. Thank you
finally ! i was witing for this :)
Correct?
yes it should be 196
Lets goo. another 3 kingdoms series
new session, new kicking ass fantasy!
Great start to the series
I vassalized Ma Chao out of the kindness of my heart and fondness for him. He declared independence after getting 2 areas to rule. He had to die.
Historical I heard? LETS GO!
WOOO, 3 Kingdoms is back let's go ^^
Yay I was hoping another one would happen sense I can't play this game myself yet
Ah When the sun rises in the west. I remember doing this one with Sun Jian. As soon as I had my economy going I could spawn full stack mercenary armies to defend locations where my armies would not reach in time.
I've played a few campaigns, but I'm still learning new things here.
God bless Total War 3K! Pogger content as always.
Will always have a soft spot for 3K content like this
THIS IS PROLLY THE BEST LETS PLAY SERIES, WELL SCRIPTED.
WILL YOU DO A PACIFIST CAMPAING WHERE YOU AVOID TO FIGHT, WIN LAND BY BUYING LANDS? GONNA BE FUN AND BORING THE SAME TIMES LOL
Already done that! Check out the Kong Rong pacifist campaign
AWESOME, IM CHECKING IT OUT@@SeriousTrivia
Finally Three Kingdoms content! Ofc also sub quest in here, get all 5 Brilliance Generals))
poor Cao Pi...
You did him really dirty there. 😢
Best way to start the day lfg
time has come for another historical run lets go
I never thought I would see you playing a historical campaign! This is what I wanted after game launch but you kept doing romance mode.
It’s still romance mode…it’s historical in the events I am trying to recreate not game play. You can’t really get historical gameplay with total war (even records mode is not realistic)
@@SeriousTriviaOh crap, it’s still romance mode. It’s so immersion breaking for me seeing those single entities fighting a whole unit.
Proxy war might be very useful to simulate historical conflicts this run.
If we are going to do historical is there a mod that you can download so when you kill a faction you can take the faction leader’s wife?
My favorite game is back!
I expected Liu Bei to be the peasantry focused faction, but maybe that is my dynasty warriors color bias talking. Thanks for the video.
Yeeeeeees i love old total war games 😍🙌
You can use lu fan his origin was from cao cao faction and went to Ma teng's faction. It would be interesting to have eyes on him. In dynasty warriors there is the betrayal of Han sui who joined cao cao's forces. Nice scheme to try to do.
That’s not the right character
Many times I activate MTU with the All Factions and More Starting Factions Mod with the WDG. So many characters’ portrait or model doesn’t work well. The same can be said for Wu. If you tried TUP, which also asks you to also activate MTU, you are likely to get duplicates of unique generals.
sounds like lore video in disguise
Hi Trivia, when will you be continuing the real life series of 3K characters?
I assume you mean the let's talk lore series. Check the community post for December schedule (they will be every Sat, Sun 9PM this month so it will be resuming tomorrow)
Historical objectives hard to achieve. Guan yu works for cao cao's old debt helped him to win getover some north land. Historical appointed administration like Mao jie for Nanyang.
Next playthrough we will see if Serious Trivia can break the record of the longest turn 1 ever!
Back to the basics! With an actually good total war game!
wait, its been long since i watch tw3k but is this the same ST? your voice is so much different
my voice more than a little tired in this one and it was dying on me
Finally total war three kingdoms
3 kingdoms is back lets gooo, although i havent played the game myself for a Long time 😅
It really is a shame that the placements aren't historical but if the ever release total war three kingdoms 2 i hope that there will be 2 maps, the one that we have now and a historical one to choose.
I found a mod that makes the faction events happen at the right time and stuff like that. When making historical content, would that be something you might consider or is that a bit to much?
Is it the TUP event mod
@@SeriousTrivia I think it was the TROM Forced event trigger mod. I have also used the TUP family tree events mod but the TROM mod was the one i meant
my only issue with this would be the trom overhaul changes (not that they are bad but want this one to be more vanilla) also the TUP characters are actually a bit overboard for Cao Cao (like you start with Xiahou Zuo at age 24 for some reason and he is Xiahou Dun's grandson and Lady Xiahou who is Sima Shi's first wife starts at age 39 in the 190 start)
I mean if they like making money they should make it (it is still their best selling base game)
I read that it was killed off after being mentioned. Forgot the article I read
I would love a second three kingdoms type game that incorporates atilla and uses the Great Wall much like the bastion
eyyy let's goooooo
Cao Cao is pronounced like Tsao or "sour" without the "r" sound and a soft "t" sound at the beginning
No it’s not…
Hey Triv I just bought this Lenovo legion pc do you think I could run three kingdoms on there
what are the specs? Three Kingdoms is not too demanding so I think it should be good
Intel Core i5-13400F - 16GB
Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB LHR - 512GB SSD
you should have no problem!
I never played this game with Heroes. Those guys are stup OP LOL
How is bros pronunciation so good 🥶
It’s my native language
@@SeriousTrivia W chinese fr
i always "sell" cao song because thats what he is use for ahahahaha
Who voiced Cao Cao in TW Sanhok? Is it the one from Advisor Alliance?
Definitely not the same person
so is running to south still work in nanman rebellion patch?
Yes because the south is the Danyang area and not the Nanman area. And once you get the rice replenishment bonus, Cao Cao is untouchable
Is the 3 Kingdom story exaggerated (i.e romanticised) or even totally fictional or did these events actually take place?
For example in this campaign, I am using the record version of the story (historical version) and recreating Cao Cao’s life in game to the best of my ability within the constrains of the game.
what's the difficulty settings you were playing on?
Legendary, legendary with 40 minutes battle timers
@@SeriousTrivia Thank you! I'm always so anxious to raise it any higher than normal🙈
🔥
Is your let’s talk series done?
check the community post for the upload schedules but they are coming back every sat, sun in december (so it is resuming tomorrow night at 9 PM EST)
@@SeriousTrivia i still have to finish it but they’re really good
Can You Do Another Historical Campaign With Yuan Shao
Hey Serious Trivia, Do you have any favorite actor who play Cao Cao in TV or Movie?
I personally Prefer actor Zhang Fengyi from the Movie Red Cliff and Fun Fact: CA Model and Portrait there Cao Cao after Zhang Fengyi for the game.
I actually like the Cao Cao from Advisor Alliance (aka Liu Bei from the 2010 show)
Interesting and actor Yu Hewei's Cao Cao is very terrifying and one wrong word is enough to lose a head.
given the amount of people he executed in his lifetime, I would say that is pretty accurate
I've been having issues with my total war crashing. any fixes?
I’m curious why you didn’t play records mode while trying to recreate history?
Historical events…not trying to be battle faithful or else we have to siege for multiple turns too, not use trebuchets, not have our spies assassinate etc. at the end of the day, I treat it as a game ;)
i hoped "historical" meant Records mode.
ill keep hoping
We played records mode before and it’s not like it’s that different. Arguably easier with how crossbows can shreds generals. The hardest part of fighting against the enemy is how to counter their generals. Units movement and behavior are so predictable in the game
Can you also do a Historical Sun Jian Campaign?
We did a semi historical recently. Hard to follow history of Sun Jian (fought all over the place and died super early)
You could say that Cao Cao was a loyal minister?
no, not anywhere close. loyal ministers don't marginalize the emperor, make their own edicts, grant themselves princedoms and set up their own courts within the princedom that completely bypass the actual imperial court which was kept in Xuchang as a skeleton crew just for symbolic reasons.
@@SeriousTriviaand can you make duration Time to 30 - 35 minutes Your video . My suggestion. Not need to long buddy.
Time to have fun and see how the AI tries to derail that Historical Path Let's Play. :p
Strange you get yue Jin in winter and I get cao song dilemma 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
its a sandbox game so there is plenty of variance with every campaign
@@SeriousTrivia hey mate! Thanks for replying, so I chose to follow the story, and the following turn yue Jin arrived :)!, amazing content my friend enjoying following your guides
You can kill liu Biao by having a family member as a spy and do the kill faction leader action, but then having a spy of cao cao kill liu biao might not be historical as well haha
Lol I thought 樂進 is pronounced "Le Jin" up till now.
where are ep 02 3 4 5 6?
it’s a daily series that just started today
For a moment, I thought you were playing a Records game. A bit disappointed to be honest.
Record don’t make it historical just saying ;)
@@SeriousTrivia Yeah. It was my bad lol. Been a while since I played 3K and all the talk is about fantasy vs historical so...yeah
found it
I am so in
CA died in my eyes when they dropped this game so annoyed.
why are you explaining so many basic things?
Not every viewer is a seasoned player. I made this with minimal mods with the intention of showing some newer players how the game is played as this was made right after the Steam sale of the game.
@@SeriousTrivia i see, there is a new game call ultimate generals you should totally check that out I enjoy ur so keep up the good work
