Not only that, but for the first time on the channel, we will be featuring Apple hardware with the newly released Macbook Air with Apple's M3 Silicon and explore the possibilities of Nitnendo Switch emulation using the native Mac OS version of Ryujinx. I would just like to thank you for this video. Helped me install Ryujinx on my M3 pro MacBook Pro and I have been playing Tears of the Kingdom for the last week and I'm ready to also dive into Mario Odyssey and Legends Arceus. So far other than shaders loading for new assets the games run extremely smooth, and the MacBook screen is soooo much better than any switch, so is a great way in my opinion to play on the couch

Thank you for this video. I was undecided if I should spend over $2000 on a MacBook Pro or just get a MacBook Air. Switch emulation will be my primary gaming source as most of my Steam library won’t run on Mac. I would like to see you test other popular Non-Nintendo Switch games to see how they run. Also maybe test some other AAA or Mac optimized indie games from Steam to see how they perform on the base M3 Air.

I like the way you think as well! I actually had thought about doing a video like that with Switch emulation covering games that were ported from PC and as a result are now playable on Mac because of Ryujinx.
If you are really serious about doing a good amount of gaming on your MacBook, I'd say to at least get a model with 16GB just to future proof it. But, I've been very impressed by how much is playable with just the base M3 8GB model!
Do you think there is going to be some noticable difference in terms of performance when you run Ryujinx on MacBook Air M2 "the base model" compared with the MacBook Air M3 base model?

you should do a video of gaming on macbooks with Asahi linux! It is a linux OS made for the M macbooks and you could do a video testing steam games and emulators on the macbook with linux since the SteamDeck is making linux gaming so much better. There's basically no videos on macbooks with asahi yet

Is it possible to get two bluetooth controllers and play mario kart with a friend? And do you suggest the xbox controller or is there a cheaper option? As for two it's not so cheap.
m3 pro here, runs well enough but the input lag is a little too much at 20-30ms. disabling vsync is supposed to help but my games wont boot unless its on. anyone else running through this similar issue? cant find anything on google and snappy movement is kind of a must have for platformers.

When opening the file on my M2 Macbook Air, the error message I get says The application “Ryujinx” can’t be opened.
Going into Privacy & Security - doesn't allow me to open the file. Suggestions?
If you scroll down on the right side, you should see the option to open Ryujinx. You might need to scroll down a little bit but it should be there. 🙏
were you able to test Paper Mario: The Origami King?
When I tried, specifically Zelda was giving me a controller applet issue??
Make sure that Controller 1 is enabled and configured. Then, make sure all of the other controllers are disabled.

I think early 2021 I got a 8gb M1 MacMini from bestbuy with the 15-day return policy lol.
I hated apple from a Nerd & IT standpoint in 2k4. Finally Cool, Intel Should make them Cheaper Right......

I've had an M1 Mac Mini which was just amazing for the price. I've been pretty amazed by Apple's silicon for a while now and happy I finally got around to making a video with it!

The M1 Mini is sweet, Paid for Parallels 16, and it still works well.
I got Quake III Arena working thru ioquake3, and added HD Texture Packs. Still very active online multiplayer

Nintendo Switch games are ARM software base. So, it is not wonder and unsurprised that switch emulator for Apple Silicon runs so well. Apple Silicon is also ARM too.
does it support .3ds files too?
Ryujinx does not since .3ds is for 3DS games specifically. You will want to use Citra or now Lemonade for Mac OS.

I used an Xbox Series controller, it pairs via Bluetooth without any issue.
