SOME negativity in the air I see?. Who cares if you think it looks tacky etc.. maybe try it before you make a crying comment . I think it’s cute for kids and they can express themselves in how ever they want . It’s a display and I bet if it was sold in stores with this type of idea , and I’m sure a few of you will say oh not me but you will lol. If you don’t want the flat look add batting .. the ideas are endless and it’s an easy switch out if you want to change the decor.

Yeah, this I can only see like maybe in a college dorm where it's hard to express yourself by having your own furniture, so this would maybe go over your headboard they already have there? The one I made for us was cheap particular board wood for like 8 bucks. Then I used the memory foam out of our mattress, so free, and I went to the fabric store and got 3 yards of clearanced fabric for 30 dollars, which was way over budget. It was upholstery fabric that they actually just quit selling and I got the last bit for like 75% off, so it was normally super expensive and it was beautiful. Then I used 3 types of glue, staple gun, upholstery pins, a jigsaw, and scrap wood to attach it, that's it, pretty easy to do. That headboard was beautiful and I got compliments on it from everyone. Then after making it for around 50 bucks, I sold it 4 years later after a remodel for 250 dollars (and regretted it ever since). She's had it for 6 years now. So 10 years and lots of compliments. So you can make your own that will last for super cheap, just not out of paper and tape lol!
