You just gave me an idea for an outdoor panel. I didn't want to use the traditional lattice. These are very pretty if they will stand up to the weather.

Love the way YT will drop a video into my feed and it solves a problem I have. 1 bedroom apartment with the world’s tiniest kitchen, which I don’t mind as I’m not cooking a lot. But there’s no place for a microwave or toaster oven unless they’re on a cart in the dining area. That’s an area I don’t use for dining but is open to the living area. This gives me the solution to screening the area without having to have a folding screen that wouldn’t be very stable (2 cats with middle of the night zoomies.) Thanks so much, especially for the way you have attached to the ceiling, I’d never have come up with that!

The thumbnail is most likely an item sold through IKEA. This video is an IKEA “hack”. She used the same type of pattern for the inside. Just build a frame and put the flooring material she used inside the frame. Either router out a channel in the frame or sandwich it in between 2 pieces of wood.

I’m sitting here trying to figure out a way to “block” a hallway from my cat. Not permanently, more like a door. I think this will work great. I’ll put it on a swing type hinge top and bottom. (No idea if it’ll work but it does in my brain). So it can be flat against the wall or swing to block the hall, I’ve not seen one of your videos in a long time and it just popped up! Perfect timing.

That is ingenious Yoduvh. I can't believe the cost of that Ikea flooring is on SALE for over $ 15 in just barely 3 months. 😮😢. Guess I will have to keep checking to see if the price drops or if I can find similar somewhere else.

  • @PennyManning2

Oh, wow. 🤤 Very Nyce. I will have to check if those panels are a fire hazard for my upstairs neighbor. Otherwise, the dividers in the thumbnail would be a safer option. However, this video is different from the thumbnail version. In the future, please show the actual video project in the thumbnail.

Back in the day hardware stores had a kit. It was a wooden frame with legs and it was setting loaded. That went from floor to ceiling the springs allowed for height adjustment. The frame was grooved they sold panels that fit in-between. You could get solid or a cut out design, metal, wooden, plastic (like a what you used, only one solid piece). You could also connect then to make them wider. I used them in my apartment back in the 70's to separate my dining area, living room and kitchen area. Your concept is a little different but the idea is the same. Thanks for the memories.

Beautiful work. Oh the other things you can do with it. My LR is Moroccan motif and I'm going to cover a whole wall with the "star" design using tack nails. The design of the floor covering is very similar to the famous woodwork that is ancient Moroccan tradition. Plus you can spray paint it using Rust...m spray paint for plastic from HD. You can also easily make shutters indoor or outdoor because they are plastic. What a beautiful photo backdrop for a wedding, La Quincinera or prom. How about a deck privacy screen using your technique. Just awesome - thank you!❤❤

Yoduvh Essentials your idea for a room divider is brilliant! It looks wonderful. I once created a separation wall by standing two six foot high bookcases in the middle of the room, about five feet apart. I took a six foot length of bamboo, hung a pair of rod pocket floor length curtains through it and duct taped one end of the bamboo rod to the top of each bookcase. I popped some empty baskets on top of the bookcases and voila: it looked like a doorway covered by curtains between two bookcases. Anyway, once again, your room divider is design is beautiful.
