I personally don't think that you need to apologize for anything that you do. People can make it work for them. I have a bunch of DT candles that I need to melt. People are just so darn judgemental. Keep doing you.❤
I’ve also used the LED candles that have a waxy exterior to Diy candles that look like those expensive birch wood candles. I used my weeding tool , anything pointy tool would work, to scratch wood grain lines and knot holes into candle and used brown wax, brown paint works too , and worked it into grooves and wiped back excess right away and they turned out better than the ones I bought. You can do any kind of designs or words and any color wax or paint to customize them. I buy these candles in all shapes and sizes , I like the ones you can turn on and off with a remote. I started selling them last month with all kinds of different designs , the birch wood have been most popular but the Christmas designs are starting to take off . I’m getting $45-$75 for sets of 3 at a shop in the town where I live. Your videos are why I started crafting and creating a few years ago and it has given me a new lease on life . I had to retire from nursing 10 years ago due to health issues , I’m 59 now and it feels so good to be able to contribute to my family financially again😁
“Stained glass” came out great. Inspired many ideas & inexpensive. I enjoy your content & watch all the time, just don’t comment every time. I do give a thumbs up all the time. I like how you make inexpensive look high end.😊
Believe it or not, our doctor asked my husband if we have nightlights in our house. I said, “Did you tell her we have so many the house looks like Las Vegas and we have one INSIDE the toilet?” 😂. Cute ideas Katelyn!!!! ❤❤❤
I’d love to see you make a video on the most needed craft supplies for DIY projects. Making a project from the dollar store can be really expensive buying spray paint, glue gun, fabric, floral picks and so on. My first project cost nearly $20. I’d love to know what’s best to have on hand to always have on hand.
Same! Over time you “build up” so it gets less expensive. My suggestions: * glue gun/glue sticks * chalk paint in basic colors (small works except for white dk grey or black cuz you use more ) * e6000 or a superglue * nautical rope or twine 💕
The napkin over the battery candle is so cute. I can see making these for different seasons, holidays, and celebrations. I like the red over the glass also.
Pretty candles. I have seen it done differently. You reversed the napkin where other did it face up. I guess it works both ways. The food coloring and glue turned out great. Love all these candle ideas. Have a great day.
Hey Katelyn! I love the candle crafts. Even if I don’t want to do all that myself I enjoy watching you do it. That way if I decide I want to do that type of craft, I know how bc I’ve watched you do it. Enjoyed the video sweetie. See ya next time! ❤️💜💚
I am doing the napkin on candle hack for sure. I love and make candles all the time using left over wax from other candles melting down old 1s, DT 1s, wax melts, etc. ❤❤❤❤ thank you.
Katelyn, I love watching your craft videos and Love this candle one, too! As far as other ideas for videos, I have two ideas….1. A video recycling some of your “already done” crafts into something new to display. 2. A video of some simple crafts that would be fun to do with children.
I have to say, that I LOVE everything you do - I am a crafter at heart!! BUT...the napkins on the artificial candles, WOW. What a great idea. I can't wait to try it. Like you say, they would be completely safe for a child/kid's room!! With 3 little grandbabies, the 'fake' candles will be perfect!! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful creativity!! Sending love from Canada XO❤
Wow I love the napkin craft on the candles. That I will be making like you said, for every season. Thanks for sharing, as always you have some of the coolest crafting ideas.
Love everything!!! So simple but they look high end!!! The napkins wrapped around candles are clever and the stained glass candleholders are so pretty!
I also use the coconut oil in my warmer and I add my favorite perfumes. I spritz the coconut oil a couple of times and it makes my house smell amazing.. Also adding any essential oil.. ❤
Thank you for sharing great ideas 💡 I once the food color /clear glue (blue) I loved how it turned out. Love watching your channel and videos very interesting 👍🏾
So if you don't want to burn the candle, don't put a wick in it. Then it's a no brainer. Love the napkin idea. already have the candles so will try this with some nice napkins I have. No money crafts my favorite!
1st hack, I did this about 15 years ago. You can use stamped images on tissue paper as well. Although if a 2 ply napkin split the plys and put on right side facing out. Also you can use a heat tool for scrapbooking or a hair dryer.
I personally don't think that you need to apologize for anything that you do. People can make it work for them. I have a bunch of DT candles that I need to melt. People are just so darn judgemental. Keep doing you.❤
Totally agree
With you!
I've actually done this with a hairdryer to heat the wax and attach the napkin 😊
Love the napkins melting onto the candles. Endless possibilities!
Confused as these are plastic candles and pitying napkin on backwards the image came though and doesn't melt the fake candle
I think u can do photos like this as well
She only did the heat briefly. The DT candles have a wax like substance on them.
@@lydiamcpherson7925 thanks didn't know that
You seem like a very genteel person and that's lovely thank you for sharing your videos😊❤❤🎉🎉🎉
FYI If you use regular Elmers white glue with food coloring, your finished painted glass will look frosted.
You could also try a round sponge brush to pounce the mixture on. Might eliminate the stroke marks.
Thanks for sharing this. I bet it ends up being really cool looking.

I also like the idea of putting coconut oil, then add your own spices, eliminating chemicals!!❤
The napkin melted onto the candle is amazing! Great ideas and crafts, Katelyn❤❤❤❤

Glue modpodge(half glue half water) paint/brushes is a good start.
@dar5157 I used to think the same. But once you have the items it's provit. 😅
Great idea!! 😃
Love this idea!

You can peel a Crayola crayon and put it in your white wax and it will color whatever the crayon is and you will have colored wax
Love these. You can put those orange pumpkin candles you made with wax in your bowl candles so you can burn them 😊
The napkin over the battery candle is so cute. I can see making these for different seasons, holidays, and celebrations. I like the red over the glass also.
