Hey bud sorry for the delay, your so right that’s the 2 main spots front wings and rear sills, strange that because the rest of the motors normally stay good.
@@YTDTETV Just replacing the WHOLE sill on a 2007 Jetta. There is a gap at the bottom transition of the sill. Mud collects there and it rots. I've bought a new sill skin, but I'm fabricating the ends myself. Galv primer, then etch primer, epoxy primer then a coat of "Epoxy 121" from RustBuster. That stuff sets diamond hard, but stays flexible. Do all of that and it will NEVER rot again. One more tip, buy some 36% Hydrochloric Acid and paint it on the "clean metal" BEFORE you start work. WEAR A MASK. If it turns yellow, it is killing intergranular rust (rust which is already IN the metal that you can't see). Rinse, dry, repeat until it doesnt turn yellow anymore, then rinse well, dry and paint with "Zinga". Do NOT paint over the Zinga immediately, spray some water on it and leave it for a few days until it turns dary grey, then it is "weathered". I live 20 feet from the sea and EVERYTHING rots, but I've had a piece of steel outside for 5 years which has been treated like this and endured salt spray, rain, hail...NO RUST! PLEASE can you do a vid on how you rolled that edge? I'm scratching my head trying to NOT destroy the panels I buy. Thanks Brother.

Its unbeleivable how many garages have stopped welding cars i needed 2 plates at the rear off my sills at jacking points on my Bmw E38, I rang 7 garages untill i found one willing to doo the job 2x plates cost me £250 ,a lot of the other garages said it time consuming and not cost affective thats why they stopped.
Hey guy, I think it’s the same everywhere as most garages round here don’t do it either, I know it’s not the nicest of jobs but it does pay well.
A lot of garages just want to plug diagnostics machine in and change a sensor or knock out services. They dont actually have the ingenuity to do this sort of thing
Ahyeee!
Thanks Jack 👍
We want more, When do we want it, now , ❤😂

Ah ye 👍👍
Whoops, sorry LUCAS, not Lewis 🫢🫢🫢
No worries bud 👍👍
Bloody VW ALWAYS rot at that point, front wheel arches and under the back of the front wings.
